FIFA 13

For anyone who missed it was a joke ;) Seems they haven't bothered recording new sound bites for any teams? Or maybe just someone like ManCity winning the title?

I'm guessing commentary issue is custom commentary?

Yes sadly it would seem :( First thing I did in CM was unlock the edit feature and fix up all the generic boots etc, I had a funny feeling it might cause any issue but hoped for the best, so since than no Everton player wears skins/long sleeve ;(

I am a details kinda guy too.

I remember a while ago that we would be able to select underarmour skins for our players in FIFA13 in edit mode...Seems only to be a huge rumour then.

Yes...Even if we edit boots or socks of a player...It will cause to lose their long sleeves or underarmour skins in wet weather conditions.

Another thing that is bugging me is the lack of Nike boots...plenty of old adidas colourways to choose from but none for Nike. WHY?!!

FIFA 13 breaks one million sale-mark in the first week. What is happening? EA won the marketing strategy and a game with a better gameplay is still living in shadow.

Shame there's not a filter on here to weed out stupid little comments like this.

Oh FFS. Another boring fucker saying x is better than y. ZZZZZZZzzzzzzzzzzz
I'm talking about people doing it in both threads. Just play what you want. Nobody gives a shit what anybody else thinks anyway.

Two questions:

-Does anyone know if the custom formations bug (crash/players disappear or reset to numbers) lingers in CM?

-Is the EASFC store going to be updated regularly?

Hoping for a patch soon from EA that sorts out the crash issues. CM is really deep, or so have I heard.

And @Placebo : The pace even after slider customization is still faster than what I see in real life. Don't you agree?

Agreed well said.

I am getting bullied in the PES Thread 2013 for saying I now own both games. Just been told "I should only play 1 game".

Why?!!

But the more I play this, the more I dont like it.

I was blown away to begin with which is never a good sign for me. I am one of those players that is usually a bad thing and the bad games get better if that makes sense?

Actually probably doesnt make any sense at all :P

Who said you should only own 1?

I said imo its better to own 1 and master it. Flicking between both games will just heap more misery!

but...each to their own.

Fifa needs to be even slower. Slow is still way to fast.

I won't spend a penny on buying this game until they slow it down, it's not like they are lacking in feedback there was a 50 page petition thread on the EA forum. I'll stick with the demo for now.

Fifa needs to be even slower. Slow is still way to fast.

Nearly everyone seems to be saying this yet EA seem to think stupidly fast gameplay is the way to go. Makes it feel like an arcade game.

I wonder why they don't have speed settings that actually allow the game to be properly slowed down in the ways PES speed settings permit, where the slowest setting is probably too slow for most, but at least it gives a proper CHOICE. The current options are Too Fast, Ridiculously Fast, and Taking the Piss Fast.

Perhaps they're worried it will make the cpu cheating more obvious, as we'll have more time to observe the weird goings on in player movements and speed to favour the cpu team. Either way, it surely can't be hard for them to give us a patch with a simple speed setting to make it properly slower (like up to 15% slower).

I don't know why EA have made the game this fast like. It annoys me for the same reason you have mentioned Winston. the game now feels like an arcade mess of a game and is wayyy too fast for my likin.

When playing the AI, I struggle a bit defensively and never feel in total control. Consequently , I was wondering whether any of you could provide an in-depth explanation, detailing exactly how you defend. I've tried many different approaches, such as using contain vs jockeying manually, tracking the player on the ball vs closing down a passing lanes, using secondary contain vs not using it, constantly switching players using l1 vs only controlling one particular player for the whole defensive phase etc.

Seriously - I don't have these speed issues.

I play with Spurs on Full Manual and on Slow setting (Default sliders).

And sometimes I think that the game is too slow.

For me the speed is perfect - I got a day 1 patch (4mb), don't know what it fixed :)

Usually I would bitch about the speed being to fast, but this year I think they have nailed it :)

It's not about one approach... you have to do all of those things. You have to anticipate the danger and use whichever of those methods will prevent that individual scenario from happening.

You'll never feel in total control, because you can only move one player at a time and your AI teammates are too passive to be relied upon. I think the best mindset is to always put yourself in the boots of whichever player has the best opportunity to deny what's about to unfold. For that, switching with the Right Thumbstick is your friend.

You could check >> THIS THREAD << from exactly a year ago for some tips.

Online playing head to head seasons all manual, the speed doesn't seem to be a problem for me, the play is slowed down a lot more and I am having some really good games so far.

I think it depends who you play and the controls personally. But like everybody it wouldn't hurt to have more speed options and to have it slower.
