Fifa 13: Career Mode Discussions

If I could just one CM wish come true it would be for my player to be subbed every now and then rather than leaving him to burn out and then not be available for the next game due to fitness (or for there to be a "Request Sub" option).
 
Before FIFA13 comes out, I remember one of the many little features that was hyped and thrown around was the fact that your player COULD get substituted if tired or playing bad.

Was that a lie?

No you do get substituted, if you don't play that well you get subbed. Not so sure about the tiredness though?

It would be great if you could come on as a sub though.
 
I haven't been subbed once in two whole seasons. I've just played 120 mins for England and I wad on my haunches by about 60, doing a great impression of Joe Cole, and the manager made 3 subs but not me.

EDIT - Ah, don't think I've had less than a 6.5 so maybe that's why.
 
I am banging my head against the wall, not being able to execute on the pitch! i know this is CM chat, but i have assembled a good team but can't execute. its the short passes where i am getting burned! i lose possession too much... i am using FSB sliders, all manual.

Just started the January window and I'm in particular looking at players with just 6 months left to go and how much their teams will accept for them, looks like it's random between 42% and 47% of their current value, either way it's a great time to get some bargains, players like Filip Đuričić valued at £12m and they only want £5m, in this window there's a couple of really good players like Mario Gotze and Ozil down to 6 months on their contracts but I'm not sure I'll be able to make those deals even at 45% of their value, shame cos I could sell them on for a nice profit!

At the start of the season I got Alexis Sánchez from Barca for £7m plus a £6.5m rated player and he's worth £19m, hoping to sell him on already! :)

Weres the option to search for people with only 6months left mate if there is one?
 
Sadly there isn't one, you have to find them yourself by listing all players of a range you're interested in (for example I'll do attackers, max age 26, min overall 80), then you have to go one by one with a buy offer so you can see how much they have left on their contract.
 
Some of the frees/regens are ridiculously good, I just found a 21 year old forward at a Russian club, he's 6ft 9" with pace 88 accel 90, isane!

I have exactly the same problem with my Premier League career. So much for my 60 million dollars to spend on transfers for season two. :CURSE:

i was really enjoy my spurs career !

got chicharito, eriksen, piatti, hamsik, hummels, tremoulinas and done a great season ( victory in capitol cup and FA cup, lost in europa league final against dortmund and 2nd in premier league )

start to think how i can improv my team for next year and boom ! freeze !

any ideas why it's freezing ?
 
Have now brought in Badstuber and Boetang from Bayern.

Have won 4-0,6-0 & 5-0 so its time to up the diffcutly. Im newish to Fifa so only started on Semi Pro. Ill move it up tonight.

Torres and Falco are immense together.
 
Will winning the Champions Cup qualify you for the next seasons tournament in Fifa?
I am in the final but will most likely not finish in the top four of the league.
 
Never really played a challenging CM in the few FIFA's that I've played, so I have decided to take the York City job. Money is ridiculously tight here and so I felt that should be reflected in the board's leniency, so that is also set to strict (60%). With a starting budget of £160,000 and £2,000 per week in wages, there is very little I can do. So I have sent out two scouts. The Croatian, Zeljto Alanovic is scouting Germany for technically gifted players and my Dutch scout Luciano Room is currently scouting England for attackers.

So with limited activity we progressed to the first friendly against Hertha BSC. Final result was 2-4 (L).
A bit of a shame considering that we were ahead in the game twice, but they had more quality than us and therefore deserved the win.

After this friendly I managed to offload Jamie Reed to Barnet for £35,000 which was his exact market value. Then came the second friendly vs PEC Zwolle, which ended: 2-2 (D) A late goal from Patrick McLaughlin, struck from a fair distance managed to save us from losing despite being the better team.

After playing the first two friendlies I came to the conclusion that my front 3 lacked pace and technical ability and so decided to look at bringing in somebody on loan. I opted for Serge Gnarby but on reflection of the deal it would have left me with a minuscule wage budget of around £450. So I decided to cancel the loan and perhaps make a move in January, but I will most likely keep my fingers crossed that one of my scouts discover some worthwhile players.

My York side faced Gefle IF in the final friendly, the end result was: 1-0 (W) We comfortably won this game and the counter attacking style I've been developing is flourishing and we absorbed most of their pressure and looked very threatening once we won the ball back. The only downside to my first win was that first choice centre back Clark Carlisle is now out for 3 weeks with a hyper extended knee and will be a big miss as he was my best defender, if not best player in the squad.

In the build up to the first league game a news item was flagged up saying that York's predicted finish would be 23rd. This is something I'm confident can be avoided as there are a few players in the side such as Chambers and Kearns that are of decent enough quality to prevent a finish in the bottom part of the league. The first game was against Wycombe Wanderers and finsihed: 1-0 (W) It was a very tight game, but we managed to sneak away with 3 points due to a crafty counter attack that was finished of by Daniel Kearns after he initially picked up the ball and got the move under way.

Next up is Stevenage in the COC and I shall keep you updated as to how my CM goes, thanks.
 
New career mode with Crawley Town after Southampton CM crashed after 4yrs

Had 0.9m and 3k wage. Already bought 3 potentially top class talents in Luke Shaw, Lindsay Rose and Ntambwe. Trying hard to get Nana Welbeck and Johannason.. Already sold my most expensive players and tied the 3signings to 5yr deals. Need to get some more top talents before their market value rockets
 
I'm still getting some freezes on transfer deadline day but I haven't had a freeze outside that since the last update, so far...
 
Just had a freeze at the loading screen for a match, champions cup. So it's still in there... Let's keep our fingers crossed for update 20, that should do it.
 
Have any of you completed any season's as a player??
I've just finished my 2nd season as a Liverpool striker. I was chosen to play for England in the world championship. Played first game as sub and scored when I replaced Rooney, we won, kept out of 2nd match we lost 2-1 to ivory coast, played most of the match against Sweden we won. Through to 1st knockout round, kept out of match and we were knocked out 2-1 by Brazil. Annoyinglying frustrating!!

Anybody else have this???

What was your rating in your last game? If you get below 7 then there is a chance you will miss a game if there are good strikers in the team. If I don't play well then podolski, Giroud etc are all ready to take my place.

It is frustrating, but I like it.

My rating as sub was 6.8 but was granted as they brought me on in the 80th minute plus i scored but in the match v sweden I had a 9.2 so it couldn't have been cos of that could it?? in that game I had partnered up with rooney & young(on the wings lol) and replaced by welbeck who didn't do anything

When you are new to the team your appearances are sporadic. When I first started playing for England I got an 8 and scored the winning goal but they didn't play me in the next game.

How many England Appearances have you had?
