Fifa 11 Xbox 360/PS3

What is this flag glitch? What did it do?

I was doing rather well online, Rank 12-13, can't really remember, with like 1300 pts or around there, only played around 25 games, think it was 19 wins, 2 draws and 5 losses I think, so make that 26.

Had some good times playing as Udinese, Napoli and Fiorentina mostly, as well as St. Etienne and Chievo randomly haha... so does that mean my rank is reset, my points are reset... as well as ALL my stats from previous games?

So what I was saying then - move your strikers into forward positions right? Like ST --> CF?

Gonna give this a go. But do you have issues with not finding a forward in the box or attacking the goal at critical times?

Spot-on with all those points but we'll be extremely fortunate if these make it into next year's edition, let alone this year. Can't imagine any substantial changes for 11, no?
 
I just had the most fun I've ever had in clubs. Club America v Cruz Azul, it was about 7 on 7, but everyone on both teams actually knocked the ball around and tried to open up space. My team had one guy trying to do VP achievements, but it was still tons of fun. Didn't see 14 players sprinting to the ball or anything.
Wish it was that way all the time.

Utter toss! Some of the animations in FIFA look ridiculously realistic. It appears to me that you see what you want to see. Someone made a comment about how bad a PES animation was, rather than saying yeah that one looked unrealistic you come back with Martin Keown used to do that all the time! LOL!!!!

More bullshit... Ozil 0-60 in FIFA! Are you playing the same game as the rest of us? Acceleration times in FIFA 11 has been massively toned down.

Klash you know absolutely fuck all about me or what standard of football I've played so please don't pretend that you do. Just because you're existence revolves around gambling and sitting in front of a tv/computer doesn't mean you know more than anyone else.

In regards to your comment about the camera I use, if you look at the bottom of the screen you can see something called a radar, (ever wondered why they included it?) you require occasionally. The camera is only marginally zoomed in and the adjustment to the height means you can see more of the pitch. I use a 40" TV too so that may help? Have you even tried it?

Why do you have to keep referring to other people? It's weird. Anyway I can play ground passes in FIFA 11 with 'zip' on them and I can also play delicate passes too so I don't get your point.

All I said is that PES has too many issues that I just can't live with. They are gamebreaking! On the flipside most of the issues FIFA has I can live with. If you think that makes me a fanboy then fine, whatever makes you feel better. Again my views are terrible because there not the same as yours. :TTTH:

Pressuring is too unrealistic in FIFA (still) but it's not a game breaker and it's something I've learned to live with. I'll probably only play a couple of seasons of CM offline anyway as I mainly play online vs fellow manual players. Pressuring is not something that manual players really use so again the issue you mentioned really isn't an issue (for me). I never tweak custom tactics so not sure who that is aimed at.

Wow, was that really worth it? You'd have better luck arguing with a brick wall.

So is online now fixed? CM is soulless and bug filled so I'm actually considering going online.

**I have finally, after 7 days, been able to start a Career Mode. I've had to delete all saved game files off my ps3. This includes all FIFA 10 and World Cup files. And also can only select customised squads so can't go on leaderboards, which doesn't really bother me all that much.
** I've chosen QPR and decided to drop down to Professional setting due to not being able to score on World Class.
**Only played my 3 pre season games.*
1-1 vs zenit (h)
1-2 *vs koln (a)
3-0 vs rubbish east European team I can't recall (h)

What I've liked so far is I've made 1 signing. C.Eagles and he has really made an impact. Personality + does indeed work. I signed him after my first 1-1 draw with Zenit and on his debut he scored, provided the cross for the winner and ran the show in my third game, chipping in with a another goal.*
**I got him for 2.2 mil after initially offering 1.8mil and then getting an email saying they wanted 2.8 mil. Nice bit of business. Looking forward to getting stuck back in. Damn these early shifts.*

Yeah I know what you're saying, I use manual passing and I do notice some PP but not that much. Maybe it's because I use Manual? I feel that manual is now slightly assisted with the likes of Xavi but the likes of Puyol get no (or hardly any) assistance.

I did expect PP to have a much bigger impact on the AI controlled players but it's not really that evident, certainly not to the extent I expected.

Don't listen to anything Adam from WENB says. He's been talking bollocks for years. I'll give him some credit he does sell things very well.
 
You should try world class in my opinion. I was playing on professional but it was far too easy.
On world class I found that if I slowed down and didn't try to blow by every defender I could open up passing lanes. If you stand still the cpu you will just stand with you for a second, eventually they'll attempt a tackle Yes the CPU will intercept a lot of passes in their own end, but I still have fun.
You can beat players though, but you have to use the right stick, you can't just sprint. Really enjoying the game now, playing 8 min/mix of semi/manual. I also try not to use the pressure/secondary pressure buttons.

Anyone else get a lot of "league not prestigious enough" messages when trying to sign players (under 20s even) from EPL and similar leagues? I've had to do some heavy searching just to get some players in!

I'm not sure it was worth it matey. I know he'll come back with even more shit but I've said my peace now and I'm wont respond to his drivel.

I love it online eh. I must admit I only really play against my RL friends or against random manual players I've met on various websites. I tried searching for a ranked manual game the other night but to no avail... maybe it's the time difference?

You'll find the game plays out in a much more realistic manner online. The majority of manual players let you play the ball out from the back, they kick the ball out if your player is injured, they don't cheat/abuse custom formations and the don't use 100% pressure. That's generally what I've found anyway.

Okay on 360 today was the patch that was deployed on PS3 released tonight? Because now the game plays like FIFA 10. Fucking gross.

Okay guys, getting the Arsenal chant thing now. I'll still get the right team's chant, but an Arsenal one always creeps in there. Is the answer really setting Arsenal's chant to default?

Just before you start a CM you need to save 3 copies of the squad file you're going to use, call two CM 1 and 2, call one default, save the default one last, that will leave CM1 and 2 save from being overwritten by a newly downloaded one, now when you play your CM keep at least 2 saves, the latest save will be autosaved over manually so you need to remember from time to time to also save to the bottom (older save), then if you get this CM squad corruption do the following:

Load CM1 saved squads, save this squad file again and call it default, then load your older CM save, if you're lucky because you're using the correct old squad file and using a CM save that hasn't been autosaved over since your squad got corrupted all will be intact.

I thought it had fixed it as it seemed to work for a while but then I started getting the Arsenal chants come through again so I've had to delete all chants for Arsenal. This seems to have worked......so far.

I hope this doesn't get overlooked by EA because of all the other major problems they are working on.

Also, pre match music needs to be louder. Can barely hear it and it's almost not worth bothering with, which is a shame as Career Mode needs this 'atmosphere' to get you engrossed.

Yeah, if you are forced to do that, I try to keep at least one ST in there, you also find because your midfield plays higher, they can help out on the edge of the box better..

I have a bad habit of running my strikers into the channels so this helps bring other players into the game without having to hold the ball up and allow the 8 man defence to realign...:P
 
Got the game for 9,90 Euro + my used copy of Modern Warfare 2...which seemed about right lol. Screw paying full-price on this.

couple things:

- how the heck do you change the online filters to "Manual"?
- is there a way to prevent the game from "synching up" with Trophies? It takes like 2 minutes everytime I boot the game up (it's frozen the game a couple times as well) and I don't even give a flying fuck about trophies...in any game...
- is it my browser or the Creation Center is one helluva bug-ridden train-wreck with very little customization involved? There were so many hiccups it took me a hour and a half to make 1 team with fake kits and 1 extremely generic player...they better be fucking kidding.

Its still there mate. Try spraying a pass with kyriakos or Jamie carragher, they cant hit a barn door most of the time. Gerrard on the other hand can and will 90% of the time find his man.

I have only played head to head, but when you go in I think you press X (on mine anyway) and it lets you change the star rating of teams, dnf rating and manual etc.

Don't knwo about your second point?

Creation centre was fine for me, was reasonably quick process. I did lots of players (about 20) and a team and it took about 4 hours. But the faces are shit and the options are very limited which is dissapointing. Also after making my team and uploading it in game, somehow Winterburn was replaced by someone called J Smith or something....very annoying!

Cool, I#ll get rid of Arsenal's chants.

The entrance music pack I downloaded from the audio thread on the EA forum is plenty loud enough. Oddly, some of them are too loud.

IMO, I'm not convinced that any of these three are true. I don't think there are any stat drops on Legendary, nor do I think loose balls favour the CPU, at least in my experience. And lines of code are not psychic, you can beat an opponent with a simple stepover if you time & perform it right. Perhaps it seems that way because they react maybe too quickly to the direction in which the trick takes you?

I agree with point 7 wholeheartedly though.
 
Has anyone noticed how AI's free kicks are back to being god awful like how it was in FIFA 09 instead of being ridiculously accurate as it was in FIFA 10? Sure, we wanted it toned down, but not by this much.

Setting a happy medium in gameplay just seems out of capability for these guys sometimes...
