Fifa 11 Xbox 360/PS3

OMG shut up your argument is fucking a non starter.
Did all the creators at activison fight for the US army before creating COD.
and i would love to know where the makers of Halo learned there development skill lol

Seabass admitted openly back in the PS1 days that they didn't know anything about soccer but could visualize it and turn it into a game.

Rutter has replied a many on his twitter. Saying that we first need to play the demo allthough it's not the final build, that they can change the pro passing with the patching system no probs (pretty cool I think) and that the pro passing depends on the situation the player is in and the player himself. (Stamina?, low stats?, pressure?,...)

It has given me some hope that we are being heard and they actually listen to us. If many don't like the pro passing in the demo, it will be fixed when the game hits the shelves! :)

Of course people can know football without being good at playing it, but this evidently isn't the case with Rutter and the other guys at EA.

A team of skilled game designers who know football, equipped with the top technology and a big budget would create a game with tactical depth, that has the fundamentals done correctly.

Who the hell would ever suggest COD is a simulation shooter though?

I don't think anybody is saying Rutter not making Fifa as realistic as some may like is down to his lack of football ability. It may be though, who knows. He's certainly not making a great case for understanding how to but i'm not putting any or all of the blame definitively down to it because that'd be MADNESS!!!!

I await this demo, like a gorilla on crack! (don't mess with me )My point is if i buy you a drink i'm taking you home, and somebody in that house better give up something! Both games have had my money for every game, and i'm not satisfied. Time to pay up, and the demo for Pes has done it's bit, tomorrow will tell. And i'm not arguing with anyone..Ok.

Dam 3 min halfs!!

Play as Chelsea, Barcelona, Real Madrid, Juventus, Bayer Leverkusen and Olympique Lyonnais and experience how FIFA 11 reinvents player authenticity - on and off the ball - with the all-new Personality+.

Individual abilities are now reflected in the game, allowing clear differentiation for every player on the pitch. Plus, experience true freedom in man-to-man interactions with 360° Fight for Possession that transforms physical play from just lateral jostling to full 360° collisions and new Pro Passing, where pass accuracy is determined by a gamer’s ability on the control pad, and player skill, situation and urgency on the pitch.

The FIFA 11 demo features an exhibition match with three-minute halves in Real Madrid’s home stadium, Estadio Santiago Bernabeu, and you will be able to upload created in-game videos to EASPORTSFootball.com.

Fans who go to Facebook to play EA SPORTS FIFA Superstars (http://apps.facebook.com/fifasuperstars/) and complete achievements will receive exclusive access to Arsenal and the Emirates Stadium to play in the FIFA 11 demo, as well as big bonuses for their FIFA Superstars team.

Visit http://www.facebook.com/easportsfifa to join the EA SPORTS FIFA Facebook group.

Looking at these latest videos, it's easy to reach the conclusion that it is designed as an arcade game. It just looks ridiculous. It looks like an even more arcade version of WC2010.

Is Seabass the better footballer? I doubt it. You don't have to play it well to know a lot about it. I think it doesn't matter.

Have we seen Seabass play? no.

Random and irrelevant comeback. I'll reply anyway.

Seabass doesn't show his face on every video acting like "I'm Mr. Know-it-all" explaining every little detail of that pro passing jibberish, making you think he knows everything about passing and how it works in real life, then all of a sudden you see that video of him struggling to kick a ball like he's never done it in his life. That's the problem right there.

He can lead the team all he wants, but let someone else who knows what the hell he's on about do the talking.

He should do his job instead of showing his face on every video we've seen so far. Give us a very good simulation game of football, isn't that what he claims?

You don't need to be technically proficient with a ball to understand the basics of football, but to know the 11-a-side game inside-out I feel like you need to have played organised 11-a-side at some period in your life. Nobody that bad would have spent time playing proper 11-a-side football.

I hope it's not the same for Gary/Aaron etc, otherwise there's little hope for good team AI off the ball.

Demo is out on the PSN US store

U might have to search if its not on the new releases list

Had to stop the NBA 2k11 demo download when I realized that FIFA was supposed to be in there as well, @ 20% right now, let's see if this game's gonna be worth it...

EDIT: does anybody know if the PES demo has been released as well?

I guess I'd like to think Rutter and Co have "expert consultants" just like how movies will have fight choreographers and consultants to make war movies appear authentic. In any case, I imagine we're grossly oversimplifying the FIFA development process.

Maybe after he wins with Madrid, Mourinho canl join EA to fix FIFA - then he could really be considered greatest coach of all time!
