FIFA 10 360/PS3 Demo Feedback + Videos

Ahh cool. Makes sense I guess. So it would be more or less impossible to perform the bridge in the practice Arena, when on your own? Unless of course you use it on the goalkeeper. Now that would be impressive.

I did it on the keeper as well

I think he just toe poked it under his body though so it wasn't that good

I love using the bridge move - I approach the player at normal dribble speed, flick the rs and sprint -

Its awesome as a turn of pace

How do you pull it off (Oo-er) ?

In the guides on Youtube, it says you should flick forward on the right analogue without holding L1/L2. I've tried this, to no avail. It just seems to... well, do nothing, really.

Flick the right stick forward three times, is that the one you're all talking about?

I think the practice mode will be perfect to work on these things. The RS flick gives the bridge and also another acceleration animation (typical of Lennon,Walcott).
Practice mode will be more than welcome for me, I know I'll spend a lot of time on it

I think its inclusion is nice but its execution is shit. The flick is weak and the following volley is also poor, so far I've only managed to hit the post but I couldn't hit the ball powerfully

The animation for it is all wrong, When Henry did it he flicked it up but moved to the side (in this case the player should move to the side where he can hit it with his stronger foot) and then strike the ball on the volley on the up. The good thing about it currently is the ball physics are realistic and make the shot look crap with little power.

I don't disagree. A believable animation married with the right shot type really makes a goal special. I don't see Chris passing this issue on from here, as 99% of the time it's not an issue. If you want EA to improve this then by all means leave a note in their Demo Feedback forums.

Again, I thought the manner in which Lami in particular replied was not at all consistent with his recent posts, which is what compelled me to respond.

I barely post in here. I happened to see Jamezinho's post then thought I'd reply to him. Then saw Radiation's one and thought I'd like to see what he's on about. Played the clip and said to myself wow nice, but then as the clip kept going it looked just wrong, in fact totally wrong. Therefore, I have added my input. Is it ok with you?

Why'd you even have to bring up PES? I can't see myself mentioning anywhere... If that wrong shot technique was in PES as well then I would say the same, not in this thread though, you know where ;)

So no need to get all defensive and jumpy.

I like the ball physics and sliding in Fifa. I also like how the ball floats when crossing it from side to side.

Anyway, I'm out.

If one of you had commented on it then I'd not have bothered responding.
Didn't know we were limited to one response per post. I'll take note from now on.

However, given that Lami has been exclusively positive elsewhere, I did feel inclined to pick him up on his mock incredulity.
Ah... So that is why you got defensive. So you're hurting that someone likes the other game? Well I happen to like it. Don't hate me now..

FIFA has never gotten the kits or faces quite right.

BTW, have I figured out the dribbling? Messi, Iniesta, and Henry can move at sharp angles with just LT, and I sprint out with RT. With Zlatan and Xavi, I use the skilled dribble and RT and that is enough to give me the space I need.

Also I can defend just fine with running jockey, assuming I'm not out of position.

Yeh i've noticed that you can do some great things with Ibra. He definitely is different to control than messi. He's slower but amazing at skills. Messi is fast with sharp skills. Hard to explain. You feel it when you play.

Gameklip, that first vid showing the ball physics is good ... apart from the tackling foot going through Cole's foot ;)

Foot goes through the ball on the Ribery vid as well :(

Yeh it's a shame the clipping exists. they need to work on that for 11. the physics are still the best i've seen in a sports game though.

Hi all, i remember from months ago now that it was said that the right stick can be used to switch foot but i have not heard anybody mention they have done it.....does this exist?

I mentioned it earlier. It happens when in close control (L2+R2) just flick the left stick quickly and it switches to the other foot. It's difficult to pull off without having enough time though. Put it this way, try it on Professional not World Class in the demo..

I hope skill dribble will make goals like the first one in this video possible:

YouTube - CCFC goals of the season 2006/7

Probably the best goal i've seen Coventry score while I was at a game...
Leighton Baines' thunderbolt for England U21s against Germany U21s at the Ricoh was incredible though, best goal i've seen in person by a long way, can't find a video of it...

hope they fix out the cpu, when there player breaks free, my keeper goes so far forward and gets chipped everytime they break forward, 9/10 1 v 1s in real life they attempt to shoot round the keeper, so this is the most frustrating part

Flicking the stick switches the foot as well? Is that definite or is that not just a happy accident when you move a certain way?

I thought it was just clicking in the left stick that did it (try it in the arena and the switch is totally obvious).

Not really that fussed what you do or don't like - neither of us mean anything to each other or ever will. Just seemed strange that you don't mete out your opinions consistently so I pointed it out, albeit with gusto.

Messi steals the ball and Barca have plenty of room to attack, but does Ibrahimovic go for the easy finish, no he does not.

Hmmm have we all got one of these goals ???

They do seem similar (apart form Joe is rubbish and missed his lol)

Clicking left stick does nothing. Keep trying it at different angles, positions and just standing still and you'll soon see it was all in your head.

I don't think clicking the stick does anything either... It must be that the direction you point the stick changes slightly while pressing down on it.

I find that you can just manoeuvre your player quite easily/quickly so that their body position is such that it would be easier for your player to use their preferred foot quite easily/quickly with the 360 degree control :).
