Well I feel like Fifa 08 was a complete revolution for the series, pushing it to the point that we actually for the first time (for most of us) thought it was better than pro evo, which is a pretty big deal. They completely redid the engine. I don't think you can expect a revolution every single year in any game whether it is a sports game or not. You get to the point where you think you have a good engine to work with and you tweak it until you're getting the most out of it and the best game possible, which is what I think theyre doing now. Last year was excellent but there were loads of things that obviously needed to be fixed most of all gameplay-wise. The most important thing above all other things is getting the gameplay perfect, and from there you can sort out all the extras (in your case, manager mode). The game for the near future will be an evolution each year and if they havent worked hard on manager mode this year (which we're still not sure of) I would think it would be high on the list for next.

I've not been able to upload the last few scorchers I've scored as it always fails to upload (after waiting 2 minutes while it tries). Rubbish.:brick: My hard drive is begging to be filled with lovely replays. Is that too much to ask, EA?:pray:

I'm with you, there. I was thinking about this today. The arena is great, and all - brilliant to mess about in while the game is loading - but I crave a proper training ground mode like PES has with tutorials and training challenges.

That EA Sports Online League sounds great. It could work in combination with FIFA's manager mode. Imagine you create your own club and your the player manager. You then signup 9 other players (10v10) and some subs and join the league. EA will act as the FA/UEFA/FIFA/Sepp Blatter's mum. For transfers depending on how well a player performs over a season their value will go up or down. A club will then make money by doing well in the league and then signing the best players from other teams.

EA could then monitor that no bungs happen. They could also limit the amount of foreign players in the league and prevent foreign investors from countries where there has been civil wars or coup d'etat's buying out clubs.

JUST IMAGINE PEOPLEZ. IT COULD BE LIKES FOOTBALL MANAGER LIVE BUT YOU ACTUALLY PLAY THE GAME AND THE NETS ARE LIKE FOOTBALL KINGDOM. AND WE ALL LIVED HAPPILY EVER AFTER.

I bet you a Ugandan shilling that this is anounced along with all that other crap like live weather and Player DNA at Leipzig Games Convention.

This should have gone in the questions thread but i was too late, i only remembered last night are having a few games for the first time in ages

Are the throw ins still useless and shit?

there were more but i forgot :LOL:

I scored some stunners again last night as well so i think the long range shooting is fine. I should have saved em really

What's wrong with throwins? Numerous options to how you take them, I can find my player easy, generally take control of the recipient and run him into space, long throws into the box especially are great when you use a headed through ball to a forward for a tap in.

Only shite thing about throwins is that you can't choose who takes them, annoying when they decide your 6ft 4" attacker is going to take them rather than your LB who has the long throw trait......

Nah, I'm with Coopz, throw ins are utter shite. Especially online where it can and always is exploited by your opponent who can nip in front of you and steal the ball.

They're not so bad offline, but online I'd rather not have a throw in at all.

I think the throw-ins are ok but there's room for improvement.

I nice touch that I'd like to see is if the thrower can move along the touchline to steal a few yards. I remember this from the Actua Soccer 2 days - if you took the piss and went too far the ref would take notice!

Thats another problem

long throws when your level with the box. I can score 9 times out of 10 by long throwing, flicking it on and my other striker nicking it past the unresponsive defender

BAP is awesome and is the future of football games, who don't want to be one player like in real life?

it the most realistic thing that can be done in a footy game

Exactly. I love the idea of BAP and 10v10. Im also going to get NHL 09 this year too and I hope the same feature is implemented into FIFA 09 along with some manager mode improvements. But I guess we wont know until Leipzig.

1- the BE A PRO cam sucks :|
2- you really enjoy playing on your own as 1 guy when the AI around you are retarded and you are left watching your teams AI try and get the ball?
3- it is fun online but as i said half the people online are idiots and just run forward which ever position they pick

I just think they should concentrate on Manager Mode before this gimmick

who plays offline when you can play online be a pro and that is the whole point of the video I showed you make a whole team with friends you know and play online vs 10 other players on a seperate team! F***ing sweet

I would never use the Be a Pro cam. And if they add zoom, height etc options to the cameras for the 360/PS3, then we might hopefully zoom out so that we get a good overview of the action even from the "normal" cameras.
