They need to somehow make it possible to hit a long/hard manual pass in a shorter amount of time. Lets say I'm defending a corner and gets the ball outside my box. I know I have an attacker half way up the pitch and if I want to pass him I have to hold the pass button for like a whole second to charge up power. This is really unrealistic and sometimes you don't have the time to do it. In real life you can hit a hard pass really quick because you don't have to wait until you have power enough to hit it.

I'm not sure how they should solve this, but at the moment I'm playing all manual but semi on passing. I only use normal passes when I need to quickly hit a longer pass and use through balls for every other pass, even in situations where you normally would pass a normal pass.

Maybe if they let you hold in another button when you pass and that would make it a harder pass/make the meter fill up faster.

this is my no.1 frustration with passing on Euro 2008 and it makes the game seem stale and not fluid!

Gotta say, all this 8-directional movement looks crap. And with scripted passing turned on, reminded too much of PES. Eewch!

Sounds like they've made of the important changes to manager mode you wanted...ie. you now have more control over pre-season friendlies. Yeah, that was pretty much the only thing they needed to address :LOL:.

Here's hoping the PS3 version is much better than the PC appears to be.

They said the same about Euro and there are differences in speed (although really minimal), performance and graphics (color palette, graphical pop-ins and glitches...). Hope they deliver a more refined product for the ps3 this time.

Interview regarding features etc. for the Wii version of the game. I currently however have as much interest for the Wii version of FIFA 09 as I do for watching a whole season of "Katie & Peter". I would rather hack away at the old baby wand with a deluxe pencil sharpener.

But.. each to their own.

I'm sure I've seen you can pick the speed you want on 09, 08 or Euro or in between...

I wonder how that will work Online? can you only play against the people that play with the same speed? I think i'll leave the speed to default at first (inbetween) and if its to fast i'll probably then go to 08, great feature. Theres no way people can complain about the speed in 09 :))

in NHL there is this option, and in a ranked game i think its always the same, but in a non ranked match you can select what you want...

Was really happy to read about the speed option.

Its a great feature, and one that makes a welcome return after.....a decade when pes and fifa had it.

Adding Speed option is just stupid

what happens when you come to play online if your used to playing a faster or slower speed?

everyone should be at the same speed with no option to change it, really its taking more realism away from the game

u make a very good point there about the online aspect of it, personally im happy there is a speed option but that point u make certainly made me think again

If you're going to play online then use the normal speed. If you're not and you like one of the others speeds, use that. Not rocket science tbh.
