There was a rumour about the revolutionary new feature in NHL09 a few days back (and I think it's going to be the same as FIFAs). I can't remember exactly, but the basic idea was that you can start an online Be A Pro team and play in online leagues. You select a squad of players, so you have more than 11 to pick from in case people can't play.
Yes I think your right on this. If what the rumour leaked says is true you may beable to have like a clan type team , say you chose liverpool, you would get all your mates on the team and whenever you guys decide to play a game you would all meet and go online and beable to play a match against another team , any time , its a global type league so you dont have all the scheduleing its set up more like a quick game.
There is promotion and relegation hinted at.
This is all from the rumour but it sounds legit and sure would help the team play aspect especialy in hockey all the scheduling held it back imo, this sounds like it could be realy good.
I want seperate volley button nothing worse then going for volley outside box and it does header instead. :/
Get the timing right then
the thing is I don't expect improvement to Manager mode if we still didn't have online gaming then Manager mode would probably be where you want it but footie games are been designed more and more for the online gamer I doubt Manager mode got that much attention

thanks for the vids, but i would love to see the facts that back up what your saying. if it were teh other way around the same thing would be true... just face it man, on-line gaming is the future..Considering that Xbox Live takeup is only something like 50% of all 360 owners + the fact many people have live but don't like to play games online, means that if they ignore singleplayer they're significantly ignoring a very large portion of their consumer base.
Anyways seeing as some can't view this on youtube, I converted it to wmv, cropped the black borders and tried to clean it up a bit:

1) Looks like FIFA x 10 speed - not good. The pace of FIFA is what set it apart
The animations look super smooth.
The final gameplay vid shows the tackling and the player keeping his balance after a sliding challenge. It looked real.
This looks to be a big step up in the gameplay department.

Worldwide (units sold) 19 million as of April 25, 2008[1]
Xbox Live has since passed the 10 million member mark for paying gold subscribers. This occurred 6 months earlier than Microsoft originally anticipated.[14] On May 14, 2008 Microsoft announced 12 million members.
Which facts? Facts that Xbox Live takeup is roughly 50%? Sorry I thought it was common knowledge......

19 million sold in April, 10 million Live subscribers in May, last time I did any maths that worked out at roughly 50%
As far as I'm aware there is no such stat available, one would assume that the 50% is across all the board. I think you're getting bogged down too far into semantics rather than admitting you're wrong in the face of the provided stats you asked for.
lets face it, people who dont play on live are in the minority when it comes to fifa
