Looks exactly the same but I have no problem with that, PES/WE was the same for long enough with the tiniest little tweaks. As long as the reaction times are good and the goalkeepers are a lot more realistic, I will be happy.

Yes I think your right on this. If what the rumour leaked says is true you may beable to have like a clan type team , say you chose liverpool, you would get all your mates on the team and whenever you guys decide to play a game you would all meet and go online and beable to play a match against another team , any time , its a global type league so you dont have all the scheduleing its set up more like a quick game.
There is promotion and relegation hinted at.
This is all from the rumour but it sounds legit and sure would help the team play aspect especialy in hockey all the scheduling held it back imo, this sounds like it could be realy good.

I really hope they sort out some of the major flaws in FIFA 08 and Euro 2008. I'm sick of players not running into space or at least attempting to, and I'm generally sick of feeling like I'm not in total control. I press switch player (fully manual controls) and my player decides to run in the opposite direction, I aim a pass at a player, he runs away from it. How hard can it be to program a player to come to the ball or assess how to come into space. Surely we should be able to control off ball movement as well as on the ball.
God forbid I go back to playing PES 2008 on the Wii, but at least I felt in control of every element of the gameplay.
I just hope they make the game fully organic. I'm sick of the scripted CPU that sneaks into the tiniest loopholes in my defence, and the scripted gameplay elements including the age it takes for players to make simples passes, not to mention actually shooting.
I'm really in need of a new football game. I've just sat playing Euro 2008 for the last two hours and I feel so wound up and frustrated. In general, I'm back playing PES5 for Christ's sake. EA have the money and the potential, I hope they really use it. Time will tell.

I want seperate volley button nothing worse then going for volley outside box and it does header instead. :/

Considering that Xbox Live takeup is only something like 50% of all 360 owners + the fact many people have live but don't like to play games online, means that if they ignore singleplayer they're significantly ignoring a very large portion of their consumer base.
Anyways seeing as some can't view this on youtube, I converted it to wmv, cropped the black borders and tried to clean it up a bit:

thanks for the vids, but i would love to see the facts that back up what your saying. if it were teh other way around the same thing would be true... just face it man, on-line gaming is the future..

Very difficult to judge with the low quality and the distance away the vid is shown, but...
1) Looks like FIFA x 10 speed - not good. The pace of FIFA is what set it apart
2) Players still sticking too much to formation. Some of the early gameplay vids show absolute cluster-fucks in midfield. Looks like a school-boy game.
3) Keepers look as bad (and have same animation). Like posted above, the guy was going on about how good the keepers were now and the video shows a typical FIFA 08 30 yard effort fly past the GK. Not saying that you shouldnt score 30yarders, but it looks same-old...
4) Nothing jumps out and screams revolution. I know PES iterations were basically the same with tweaks, so hopefully this will be the case, but I'm a bit pessamistic after that vid.
The clip right at the end looks ok TBF... nice sliding tackle, quick response and the ref waving play on.
Guess we'll have to keep our fingers crossed...

The animations look super smooth.
The final gameplay vid shows the tackling and the player keeping his balance after a sliding challenge.It looked real.
This looks to be a big step up in the gameplay department.

Don't worry about this, I've personnaly uploaded gameplay videos to youtube, both the FIFA and PES variety, and it always look faster on youtube than real life...

Yeh i agree it looks very smooth, i disagree about the player sticking to there position PB, if they just were everywhere then there wouldnt be much structure to your play. for example i break and im about to pass to Ronaldo to break on the wing and realise he's standing randomly out of position

As far as I'm aware there is no such stat available, one would assume that the 50% is across all the board. I think you're getting bogged down too far into semantics rather than admitting you're wrong in the face of the provided stats you asked for.

its not semantics, there is a difference in number of people who play fifa online and the number of people on live... these are two different facts and it is clearly not semantics.... lets face it, people who dont play on live are in the minority when it comes to fifa... i thin most on here tend to agree manager mode is shit
