No more running along tracks… trust me if your pass is too short the player will make the attempt to stop short and collect it all this under your control and depending on your response-time, not that of the game! As soon as you dispatch a glorious Xavi style through ball your striker is onto it but you also have the ability to control his movement so as to cut or change direction once he reaches the ball.

wow! i cannot wait, i just hope its not like euro where everyone was in love with it and then got over it quickly, but this is looking excellent, poor old pro evo has been left behind!

fifa 09 will deffo be more like fifa 08 it looks like it and also long shots and finesse is back thank god Euro 2008 was bollox after the 1st week!

must say i loved euro when it came out, but quickly got over it, now back to fifa 08 and still loving it, but fifa09 looks incredible! just cant wait

same as me I said it was way better than 09 but after playing it for 2 weeks I got annoyed with it!

I have one question, will you be able to add your pic to your created player for BAP mode?

I ask because I noticed on the video that your BAP player still doesn't have a pic next to his attributes. If not, hopefully next year.

My spanish friend just translated a few stuff for me from that video


there will be over 50 songs

The Demo will be Released the 2nd week of September 11th it will be due to xbox live releasing demos on a thursday

Release date from the video is october 3rd


The demo will be playable online

Xbox live releases demos at any time, its the PSN that only updates on Thursdays :|

Why do you always put this smiley - ":|" in every post? :LOL:

About the game, the gameplay does look improved, the dribbling and turning looks much sharper and it looks like the defending team can't just hold down the button to pressure the attacker constantly, and always win the ball, which is very good. I would like something like PES5 where you get good at shielding and doing well timed traps and turns, you can be very hard to get the ball off - I often frustrated my mates and people online who held X by keeping the ball and drawing fouls, that coupled with me practicing free kicks a lot on it and I scored a lot of goals :)). When I came up against a more tactical opponent who defended properly then I could not do that.

I love the way it cuts from the arena to the stadium, looks really nice.

Saw the vids and they look quite good/promising. However my only gripe, so far, why are the stands so far from the pitch in every stadium. It seems you can't see the crowd during gameplay.

at 31:28 of the video there is a cross and header.. the ball looks way too floaty imho... looks like crap.

Looks like US release date might be a week later, some sites say October 14! I hope that changes to the earlier release date.

I think it adds to the general atmosphere, and is disappointing that they've left that unchanged. Other than that its looking good.

the distance seems fine when the video is shown at old trafford, however the video at anfield there is quite a distance between the crowd and field, which isnt like this in real life as there is only like a couple of meters from the edge of the goal net to the stand.

I also left it uploading to youtube last night, woke up this morning and it says "This video has been removed due to terms of use violation." no fucking idea why :(

I wouldn't be surprised if the reason they're always so far from the pitch is precisely to ensure you cannot see the crowd during gameplay, which would probably have some significant framerate overhead.

I'd love to see some stadia where the crowd are right on top of the action, but I'd sooner have the gameplay flow as smoothly as possible.
