Why is anyone ever surprised by the ineptitude of the British FA? The organisation has even less credibility than FIFA. It's a bunch of talentless sycophants, put in place due to going to the same posh public school as politicians and not having the intelligence or drive to actually do anything off their own merit.

Their agenda is determined by the media, which is controlled in such a way as to pander to the stupid masses. The Sun is the most purchased newspaper in the country ffs.

If anyone expects the FA to show understanding, logic or even consistency in any of their decisions you're in for a disappointment.

Finally, because I take real exception with people making lazy, uneducated opinions based on the media and who shouts loudest (as per above paragraph) - if Suarez had played for United the past 10 years of FA action action against United suggests he would have received a harsher ban. Because, as the the committee that charged Wayne Rooney with using foul language (and he remains the only player ever suspended for it) that players and teams most in the public spotlight are held to a different standard. Just writing that sentence down should prohibit you from being on a disciplinary committee, much less running one.

YouTube is full of clips of incidents involving United players which should have resulted in retrospective punishments. A couple at least each from Rooney, Vidic and Ronaldo when he was at United, so I wouldn't start blowing that whistle just yet.

Of course every fan thinks his club is never advantaged by the FA.
I don't think that htey are biased, i think it's just ineptitude.

To be fair to Man Utd and beachryan, one will find less incidents on youtube about clubs like Sunderland, Fulham and Queen of the South because they are less targeted by fans of rival clubs. That doesn't mean that there are less incidents where they were advantaged than other clubs...

To end this discussion for until the end of time: only Spurs are really disadvantaged...i should insert a smiley here, but i can't be bothered...

That's a ridiculous argument. In almost every single match between every single team in the league there is likely to be a potential red card offense, or second yellow offense.

The only difference is that with United people are ABU enough to sit down and make YouTube clips of it. And fans of other teams are sad enough to watch them.

Show me a player (other than keepers, and even then...) who has gone their whole career without ever having done a tackle worthy of a sending off (either straight or as a second yellow) and I'll show you a liar.

I consider myself pretty calm on the pitch, but I've definitely mistimed/completely missed what I was trying to do and could have had been punished more - and that's just in Sunday league! (and have a good number of reds anyway)

I got told by a mate that Swansea played utterly shit today at Southampton yet we got a gift for our equaliser. I think the Arsenal v Fulham game will be the feature match on Sky tonight, Arteta even missed a pen to make it 4-3 in the last minute I heard!

Way to respect the manager that initially moved you forward when you won the lottery. Maybe you weren't a fan back then, to be fair.

Get used to seeing City on top. Doubt we'll see anyone else there until Arsenal get back to the top in the summer. Especially when they get knocked out of Europe formally.

Chelsea aren't there yet, and even Fergie can't overhaul the difference in squads.

How many years of City winning the league will it be before there's an ABC movement? As a United fan I look forward to not being hated by all other teams for a change.

Congrats on the whiny bitter rant :TU:

Why should I respect Hughes? He's a managerial idiot who can't back up his own arrogance.
He did not move us forward. He took a team which finished 9th into 10th, and then spent a ton of money and had us slipping down the table, with no chance of CL qualification, until Mancini arrived and righted his wrongs.
Hughes is an average manager who shouldn't be anywhere near top players. And the less said about his ability to coach/manage a back 4 the better. He's Harry Redknapp without the attacking flair.
I could go on but it's not worth it.
