eFootball PES 2021 Discussion Thread (PC)

Hey,
I have not find a Thread about the Performance on PC.
Because the Ge is stuttering and higher than 1080p not good playable.

I have installed FL24 & PES2021 separately.

I‘m playing on Mini PC with following specs:

WIN-Mini-Gaming-PC

Prozessor

Installierter RAM

Geräte-ID

AMD Ryzen 7 5700U with Radeon Graphics

1.80 GHz

64,0 GB (55,9 GB verwendbar)

Win 11 Pro

I have increased the VRAM up to 8gb and the Specs in Options Menu are:

Good
Good
Ok
Ok

Display is a 4k LG TV 65“

Display Resolution: 3840x2160
120Hz
HDR on

Any Ideas?
Best regards
Christian

Your miniPC is not powerful enough to run the game at 4k. Turn it down to 1080p and lock to 30, or 720p 60. You need a dedicated graphics card to run this game at higher resolutions.

As an offline mode and CPU AI enthusiast, I cant stand what eFootball has become. Having ignored the game all these years, and I see Konami has decided to allow us to play 20-minute exhibition games against the CPU AI, I decided to try at last.

Konami released Asian Champions League/Asian Champions League 2 teams recently, so I created a 20 team league from Asian Champions League 2 on a website (screenshots below)

I have been having an absolute blast without caring about Coins, GP, XP, Cards, Microtransactions and more!

Playing as Sydney FC, against some mighty Asian teams from Thailand, Vietnam, India, China, and Uzbekistan in all sorts of weather conditions has been fun!
Generally the player ratings in this league are between 65 to 75 and every game has been a nerve wracking experience.

Few observations, playing in Super Star mode
  • The CPU AI is definitely less predictable compared to PES 2021. They make mistakes, and not every pass is laser guided to teammates.
  • In PES 2021, the AI slowed down dramatically once they approached your penalty area and indulged in a lot of dribbling, stopping. Here they are more direct. If they reach your box, they will either find a pass or shoot.
  • The Player ID is amazing. You really see some standout players execute skill moves. I got slaughtered when facing Musa Barrow of Al Taawoun FC. My defense could not handle him. Sydney FC has Douglas Costa and he single handedly has won matches for me!
  • Having played some 50 odd 20 minute games, I wanted to know if the CPU AI also has Team ID built it, where every team plays a different style like PES 2017. I would say it is not noticeable, but the variations are subtle. Some teams, like the top 5 in the table, are super organized; they dont give you space to work with and cut off all passing lines. They dont expose their CBs against my wingers. Some teams press relentlessly and some teams have their full backs bombing forward, leaving them totally exposed on counters. I think there is definite variety to be experienced if you play an 18-20 team league home and away.
  • Playing a slow patient pass and move game is totally possible. Using Finesse dribbling in tight situations, waiting for the last moment and playing through passes is joyful.
  • I still feel the CPU ups its ante if it is behind a goal and pressures you more. I have seen some teams do it and some dont.
The CPU AI is definitely an improvement over PES 2021. If Konami has added so much to the CPU AI, why not add all the leagues, creates various tournament modes, and sell an iFootball for around $50? I will buy it. Every year, as EA FC is trash and UFL is going to be an online only game.

But it looks like the suits at Konami can't be bothered, and this post will give them nightmares as I'm exactly the kind of player they hate!

Do any of you play offline exclusively? How has your experience been?

As you can see playing as Sydney FC, I'm comfortably mid table and my next game is against the Korean Hyundai team.
Need that win!

And so i am quitting this game again. Running on Twiggy's mods on FUMA for the first time. It felt really great and I will say FUMA properly opens the game up.

However, it is too unforgiving (for me) with not enough in return. The CPU is still given too much leeway and will run circles around you with 100 percent passing accuracy if they do choose. (On professional with DD on professional as well btw)

I have said it before and for now, sadly, still stand by it. PES21 is just rotten at its core and that will come to the surface sooner or later. Mods or not, FUMA or not.

So, it's pes on the shelf again until i get pulled in by mods again.

I’m using evo web patch it was all good until now the game crashes when I start the second season in master league.please help how can I fix it?

I want to play SP Football Life 2025 on tivi LG C1 4k 120hz. Which GPU is enough for 4k resolution (I mostly play PES)? Thinking of upgrading to RTX 4070.
My current GPU RTX 2060 can't run on 4k smoothly.

Before you put it back on the shelf, let me ask: do you play with mid table (italian) teams on long grass and have you tried setting the CPU form arrow down and yours up, untill the challlange is more bearable?

I'd also recommend to play with the same teams again and again so that you really get a good feel of all players, both yours and those of the opponent.
As soon as you start winning more regulary, you can decrease the CPU form arrow handicap.
Important: play around with marking and always apply the man marking strategy on the opponents striker and dont forget to reactivate it their striker gets subtituted.

The thing is, this game is a strange beast, a platform for possibility both good and bad. Only when you play it in good spirits, with mental clarity and focus, and cater the experience to your exact level and liking, it will return what you put into it, and more.

However, as soon as you get frustrated and impatient and go on auto pilot, as soon as you stop feeling each pass and no longer strive for absolutele perfection as it where a real match on the highest level, then it will only drain you more. In a way, the game is a mirror of your state of being, you always play mostly yourself.

Edit: Funny, I just put on the Rogan Podcast with Elon and he describes the same thing in minute 2 and 7 in relation to playing the highest difficulty in Diablo:

I always post these kind of messages when I'm annoyed with the game, so there's that. The game to me definitely has a golden lining to it, but you have to sift through a lot of horse shit to get there.

I am now on season 13 of ML, I only play ML and I don't want to fiddle around anymore with form arrows and such. Mods I will test and try most definitely and now I'm giving FUMA a shot, but that's where it ends. No other game gets this kind of leeway from me but I have to draw the line somewhere .

As for your questions; yes I've played in nearly every league, always start with the defaults and work my way up. Those first few seasons, say up until season 6 at the most, are pure bliss. I like playing in the Italian league and then switching to Eredivisie after about 6 seasons. Premier League after that.

After a certain amount of seasons the AI tries to reign you in and does not let up anymore, leading to frustration.

I've tried every type of (control) setting and tactic there is and have clocked 770 hours in this game alone (many more in pes in general since pes 5). Worked my way up to Legend difficulty and back then. It's not the winning that bothers; I can win on every level pretty consistently. It's the way HOW the AI plays that is frustrating to me.

So it can also be i am a bit weary of the whole pes thing. I am not dishing out 80 euros for the FIFA/FC however.

ML is the only mode for me so that means i get stuck at times and give up on the game. Endlessly replaying the first few seasons is also not an option.

I don't know what it is lately but every god damn football game sucks....ever had one of those days trying different games and none clicked...games that usually are decent...pes 6...pes 17...FL25....all felt like shit lol

Had one of those days as well, suffering from Pes 21 fatigue I decided to pick up one of my FIFA careers and every one was horrible (15-16-17-19)

I play eFootball (Steam version), and have two monitors, I noticed that Full Screen mode never works, I made sure I selected that from the Settings.exe, but the game plays on Windowed mode regardless, and the title of the Window App (eFootball) appears on the 2nd screen! I can move the Window just like any Windowed Mode app, so Full Screen mode is not working at all, and I cannot take benefits of that. Any idea?
