I got a big issue with PES in HDR in fact, about saturation. When i remove it, it's better. Edit: but i persisted and found the good balance with my TV setting. All was way too shiny in fact. HDR isn't that good on some games, let's be honest. Sometimes it makes the game less photorealistic, more agressive for the eyes. On the opposite, Demon's Souls with HDR is far better when activated : i checked on my PS5, same goes for PS4 games like Sekiro. But some teams (like Konami) doesn't even check the result of their game in HDR / They left the color panels and system without any HDR calibration.
But personnally, i think it's the best iteration since PES 2017, with zero doubt. Well, i like the physics, and the game is a bit less dynamic than the others (i prefers) but wayyy more balanced. You can't say "i don't want to debate" and "FIFA 20-21 are better" (worst "simulation/realistic" games i ever played) + "Worst Fox engine PES" on the same post bro

PES 2016 is, by far. Then 2015 and... To me only 2018.
Just one thing i hate, it's they've changed R2 to the stick. It offers more possibilities now that i've replayed it and thinked "i couldn't move like that with R2 pushing, but with both stick i can now", no joke. I prefers PES 2019 in some area btw, but not overally. To me it's 17/19 equally then 21.
I recognise it as one of the best football game created personnally, in terms of variety, physics, graphism etc. but not the one i prefers. Just because it's like a loop : same basis improved, since 2014-15 season. So it's becoming a bit repetitive and obviously... Annoying. Fortunately i've made a big break since PES 2019 (that i didn't played too much neither) and didn't played PES 2020 as much.
Fifa 20 was the most "i've completely lost my money" feeling i gotted since... Never in fact. I just can read that even those awful games are better than one i found the best let's say "objectively from my point of view

" which means : without sentiments, just facts that on every area, you can more or less do everything.
Well Advanced Tactics works very well too especially gegenpressing, but to me in terms of base tactics it's still too light or too binary. There's a middle between "All out Defense" and "Frontline Pressure", and variant between "Counter Attack" and "Possession Game"... But well.
Well, i think it's really, really a matter of taste. "Stiff" to me means rigid, but in the good way, i prefers that than players running everywhere for no reason.
Well, the same way i didn't liked PES 3 at the time (no joke, i founded it wayyy too easy to score, until WE7I who was more balanced) and didn't disliked
that much PES 4 / Well in fact i founded WE8LE far superior. At the time i repeat.
