eFootball PES 2021 Discussion Thread (CONSOLES)

The main reason I want the money is this, I wanted this game production to be my job, so I will do better job.
But no-one is going to "hire" you with no previous experience (an editing a DB and assets for a game can't really be counted as previous experience in programming) and with nothing already in the works.
That's why we are advising you to start developing something in your free time and then show that in your kickstarter campaign. It's the only way to be taken seriously.
I'll tell you more than this: if the core of the game is good enough, you shouldn't really worry about good kits and a huge DB. Make the game easily moddable and worth playing, and other people will take care of them (and for free).
This is what currently happens with PES. The only thing you need to show is a good core gameplay.

This being said, I don't think I have anything more to add to the subject.
Over and out, until I see something more concrete.

Not to burst your bubbles, a man can dream and all that, but it's missing even basic information on who's doing it. All you refer to are editors, but who's developing the engine? Physics? How are you even trying to come up with something realistic without having any proper knowledge on how to actually create games? Surely you can't just take PES, mod some stuff on top of it, change the fonts and et voila? This just seems to be a little...naive to me. Still, good luck!
i had a bit of hope (when do i not!? ;) ) that some talented user might create something in Playstation Dreams.
and afaik, there are already some football related projects... nothing major but still...!

This is a league of now 600+ full manual players, playing in PES team play mode (11 human players vs 11 human players). Much like real football.

There are casual game rooms active, throughout the day.

And there is a SCOUTING NIGHT event on FRIDAY, especially organized, so new players can display their talents. Club scouts will be watching 👀

Sign up and play! It's really easy to get into it!

There're currently 22+ teams in the league. We're in our transfer window now, so it is the best time to come and experience what everyone's been talking about.

If you're a fan of full manual controls, you must experience it on this mode, for many, it unleashes the full potential of the game.

For our friends coming from FIFA, this is your Pro Clubs mode equivalent.

Finally got 2021 after waiting for price drops and datapacks. In the days leading up to buying it i was playing a master league on 2020 got some enjoyment with all the usual bs and annoyances so thought why not just get the new one as its lockdown anyway and im bored

Im pleasantly suprised in all honesty started a master league on superstar amd its a step up gameplay wise more responsive, better dribbling, and crosses the AI play a little better (although we are talking like a 20% improvement here) but less fouls for sure the graphics are definitely a step down to my eyes seems more grainy?

All in all its worth the £14 i spent for a few hours enjoyment im glad i waited

Long time no post!

Anyway just on to say that I am still only playing MyClub and that the game in its current state is bloody brilliant. Really enjoying it. Perhaps I'm just getting paired with players who actually like to play football.

The balance of the game is great and it just feels so smooth. The game is much closer to the 2020 demo and the online beta before that.

Shout out to Daniel Henry as well if you ever come on here again. I'm no longer on twitter bud

Ive just started using advanced shooting, any tips for me? I seem to fluff it over the line a lot and am hitting the crossbar a lot.

Even EA use simple red/blue generic players with no stadium when they are showing and talking about gameplay details in their "Pitch Notes";

You need something as simple as this to develop/test gameplay before any emphasis whatsoever is placed on the database/assets... You're also not going to get any licensed content so if anything it's probably illegal to be asking for money and selling the game on the basis that it will include all this supposed content for the entire history of football, or for the same individuals behind the development of the game to be also producing (or even endorsing) the modded content with real player/club likenesses.

This is the last time I will mention anything about this until you show something to make it even slightly believable, and tbh it feels like the conversation is going in circles anyway. No point in talking about it further, until it's at least shown to exist in some form other than grand promises and PES screenshots.

Wasnt there a video from EA for this demonstration?

Not for this particular one about volley accuracy, but they do use videos like that to demonstrate changes, there's one in the "pitch notes" I linked in the post.

I wish Konami would be as thorough in explaining what exactly they're changing about the gameplay from one patch to the next, rather than "A variety of minor adjustments have been made to improve the overall gaming experience." :CURSE:

The keeper levitation/superman animation puts me off so badly in this game. Such an eye-sore. There are times when the gameplay is manageable, but then the keeper animations and the constant feeling that players are "revving" up in their running animation, I'm just a loss.

I was watching videos of Pro Evo 2 on the PS2 and the game was so effortless to play. The movement of players and reactions were great, I feel the current games are getting better than they were but they need to up the fun factor and make it more responsive like the PS2 era games.

I think the player running - or lack thereof - is the biggest negative for me. Sometimes I get the urge to play the game but then I remember how much of a drag it can be, and the pace of the players is a key contributor to that. All too often I find myself urging my players to run. Properly run. Fly down the wing, streak ahead of the defender. Unless you're playing with the most lightning quick of players and on a low difficulty setting, it just doesn't happen:

Exactly. I have lost all feeling for the game although I play it a couple of times a week.

Anyway. Yesterday I played against someone in Online divisions (PA0 VS PA0) that I quickly found was pretty bad (I'm not great in any way) so I decided to try something out.

I was Lazio and he Juve.

I forced myself to not taking any shot inside the box, no crossing from any part of the pitch into the box etc. I was determined to shoot from a distance, not insanely far away but a bit away from the box.

I mixed adv shooting and L2 manual shooting.

I had 12 shots on goal. I won 1-0 with a goal that I scored in the 85th minute when I felt I wanted the win and passed my way into the box and scored an easy, close range goal goal past the keeper.

Out of those 11 other shots I saw the keeper doing that same frog like super jump about 6 times, parrying to a corner. I mean EXACTLY the same one.

It's just crap.

Yeah it's one of my main issues with the 2020/2021 builds of football, It's a strange interpretation of inertia they're going for...

I prefer it over the zero inertia we got in 2019 however it's still inaccurate. And I tell you what, Yesterday, Like the sad git I am; Ended up replaying the same fixture 3 times as I could not beat this one team in an exhibition match despite knowing I damn well should be to the point where I was trying to beat the AI out of angry spite - Like I was trying to teach the AI a lesson not to F*** with me!

I bring this up because the "revving" up you mention was never more apparent as I was PSG playing against Lens. I just couldn't get these damn players out of first gear... Mbappe & Neymar especially should feel like they have their trademark rocket propelled explosiveness when you hammer R1 from a stationary or slow jogging position yet the wacky acceleration and the general nerfing the game forces on you when you play as an elite team against of one of weaklings just ends up handicapping you & it becomes a joke.

Anyway, in every instance, Lens beat me 1 - 0, They had the strongest, Most stubborn defence I had ever played against I would concede the type of shitty goal where your defenders can't chill and hold their shape and instead do the National Lampoon's ministry of silly walks routine during a dangerous attack and you know the rest of the story.

how do you take control of your keeper when the other team has a free kick, i can never get keeper control RS just moves to other players

i press r stick button , left stick button, r1 and l1 ----i think it might be less buttons but this works for me. Only move the keeper once the ai commits to the run otherwise they will put it in the unguarded side

yes finally can do it just click them all together been trying to work this out for ages

Was the "dive" combo ever "press literally every button on the controller plus L3+R3" or was that just my interpretation of it?
First introduced, it was L3+R3, simple to execute.
Then KONAMI being KONAMI they changed it 3 or 4 times, while nobody asked for it.
Today it is something like you describe. L3+r3+two others buttons I can't even locate. :P

And it is supposed to work with proper timing. I can't even time myself to press the appropriate buttons needed. :P

And now that was mentioned, since I still didn't achieve "dive", I want to ask something.

It is not that I use dive, but it is part of the limit testing I do every year to the game. I only couldn't try this dive, cause I couldn't hit the combination.

What happens in PES when you are the defender and dive in your penalty box?
Does the AI give an indirect kick inside the box for the opposite, or it just lacks and gives a goal/free kick for you keeper?

Hey Chris, its L3+R3+L1+L2, afaik!

is used this once or twice when it was introduced a couple of years ago, but never was a fan. it was more a "lets see if this is possible" thing to me. like super tricky moves and tricks, this is not my prefered choice of weapon on the pitch!

Is it true that it is better to have a condition rating of 6 or 7 than 8, because the former two have a higher chance to up form arrows? Just saw a graph from PES 2018, but not sure. The graph also says conditioning 8 means zero chance of full down arrow, but my 8 conditioning player has had a straight down arrow in PES 21. This is for offline btw, not online. Does anyone know?

Do you mean this?

I think this only applies to myClub for players with condition C. It should work differently in offline modes.
