It’s just been silly. I’ve now scored 2 own goals in 3 games from simple pass backs to the keeper and have hit the post/crossbar 5 times.

I’ve read the post hitting is a known issue but has anyone experienced own goals?

Especially this year, with the R2 trap feint, the bad awareness and the passes with minimum power on PA1, registering as cannon shots, I strictly avoid to pass to my GK, if the pass is not 500% safe.
Among this, the ball clearence with:square: is nerfed to its historical minimum. By pressing ball clearence, 95% of time means a well weighted pass to the opponent Steven Gerrard, waiting in the edge of your 18yard box and ready to knuckle a midair screamer. Decreasing even more your defending options.
Meanwhile in reality, even CBs of my local team in my hometown, which plays in the semipro league, know that when we shout clear the ball means, smash it outside of the stadium and probably inside the nearby cemetery, 100 meters nearby the twon stadium.

Since switching to auto player select i get close to zero bad awareness off my players. Just a thought as its made the game more enjoyable for me and i liked it anyway

I am on thoughts about changing to auto. I really believe the awareness will be OK, but what about transition to defense?
Are the auto picks reliable?

i finding defending better too as the players seem to track better and then switch - bottom line i was losing on superstar Euros - switched and then won three on the bounce. Everything just felt more aware and i switched because i was having some of the issues with late selection but thought it was my reflexes in my old age (43)

Like the really good roster creators in the 2k community sets tendencies very close to reality,and that really makes that game so much better.
If we had tendencies/aggressiveness/foul slides here,that would probably make this game do much better

Every sports game should have some kind of tendencies system to do along with their attribute system. That should be a prerequisite for making an offline mode.

So I'm playing ML the other day I get a message that Greenwood is hitting a period of rapid growth. Except said message was after the last match of the season. So now I'm wondering if it's going to carry over to next season or if it will end when the calendar resets lol

I had a match where I was winning about 3-0 at half-time, so in the 2nd half, the cpu had gone into super-boost mode and had decided none of my shots were not allowed to go in. In the end, I stopped trying to score and decided to focus on stopping the cpu scoring an inevitable super-ping-pong cheat goal, but in the last minute, it awarded itself a free-kick (cpu attacker ran into my defender, so any contact was going to be given as a free-kick to cpu). Of course, as with all cpu free-kicks, it was perfectly on target for the top corner, but I had already done my usual move of making my goalkeeper step to the side to save the shot, which he duly did. But the game decided it was having a goal anyway and made him slap the ball into the net.





Another nice cheat - my attacker gets clean through on goal, with about 4 yards gap on the chasing defender, but the game decided to make my guy go into spasm, so the defender immediately catches him. The contact making my guy stumble was a nice little bit of icing on the obvious cheat.

Auto select does help with those moments where when you switch to a player you potentially pull them out of position. It's just hard to learn since you're muscle memory is so used to switching manually.

I don't think that's the game cheating. It's just crap programming. To start, the CBs always get too wide when you're in attack leaving a huge gaping hole in between them ripe for a through-ball. 2nd...The poor awareness/not recognizing who's the best player to get the knockdown header pulls your CB even more out of position.

I'm the attacking team, playing in red. It's my attacker that has a 4 yard gap on the chasing cpu defender but as my attacker reaches the ball, he goes into spasm and I am unable to move him until the cpu defender catches him, and then shoves him for good measure (no foul, of course).

But I do agree that it is crap programming.
 
Yeah those clips just look like examples of crap animations and crap awareness tbf.

On the topic of free kicks though, the AI has scored like 1 against me in the last 2 or so months. Most times they just put it into my wall.

On own goals, I've seen one this year by the AI.

Ahh...yeah the stutter slowdown looks horrible.

You shouldn't even have to double-tap the sprint button in situations like that.
 
anyone know what "special strip" is in myclub? I can copy other teams kits but not sure what special strip means.

You can use it as an additional kit to your online team

Out of interest, does someone tried to play pes with latest Liveupdate? Did you notice something new in gameplay?

Hi Master(ciao Vito sono Kimi85 :)) )i've noticed that the rhythm has decreased respect last week. I haven't see anymore "weird ball control", and that the weight of the players has came back(partially)...i must to tell you that i haven't made any Live Update, just let Pes download some datas as usual(every Thursday), but as i said i didn't provide to apply the last Live Update. As i sustain since long time, any change on the gameplay could be done even if you don't apply any Live Update or Data Pack.

Hi Master (ciao Kimi85) i never dowloaded any Liveupdate BUT now i've done that and something has changed: weight of player, reaction, phisicality, and i seem that stat have a lot more impact on the pitch. Maybe placebo but i don't think so.

It's not "placebo" because even in our(you know) italian forum some of us got the same feeling. I had two game this morning and the sense of lightness about players has desappeared. A few days ago if you were managing Insigne or Bonucci it was like the same thing. Now as i said this feeling seems to be gone. We are still far away from good balance, but at ieast the crap feeling that i had after DATA PACK 7.00 was installed just changed. We see next Thursday wich present has Konami for us...

Seems so long ago when we where simply playing games instead of 'testing' and 'trying' them. Last week i spend two consecutive evenings switching from 2017 to 2019 to 2020 to 2020 demo to FIFA20, just to decide which one i want to stick with for the time being! Still undecided.

How can I play the demo if I have the full version on steam??????? It is not possible !!!!!
