As I play online (though much less this year), I don't want to apply something that would break matchmaking or cause disconnects etc. Would just using sider without cpks/dpfilelist be fine online?

Just some chants/balls/adboards would improve things a lot, I'm guessing stadiums are not online compatible, though I remember in PES6 with kitserver you could choose any stadium online and it worked fine.

Guess I should ask further questions in the editing section if I decide to try downloading anything.

And what is the best option file? The OF section on here has almost nothing.

If You use sider FOR EVERYTHING, you can have the whole sider folder somewhere on your pc separate from the game.
That way, Your game file stays intact, and sider will still recognise the game.exe when You play, as long as you run sider as administrator first.You always have the option to verify game files in steam,which fixes the game.

If You already use Live/cpk ( sounds like You are ok with that ) the next step is just as easy.

To add servers EXAMPLE. ( Have picked the hardest, if You can follow this you should be sorted. )

STADIUM SERVER.
1 , Place stadium server in Your CONTENT folder in main sider folder.
2, Place any related .lua for it in Your MODULES folder.
3, Add line to sider.ini exactly like this, lua.module = "StadiumServer.lua"
4, Place any downloaded stadiums in CONTENT, stadium server folder.
5, Edit map.txt and competition text to include Your downloaded stadiums

After 45 hours, most of them painful, I'm pretty much done with this game. I really wanna give it a chance I want to enjoy it because that is the only game that I play every year, for the whole year. The "most interesting thing" is that when I play or watch someone play eF2020, I never get the sense that those on the field are professional football players, but rather a quirk of low IQ silly alcoholics. All these pushes, humping, wobbling, illogical moves, horrible again illogical plays, lack of an adequate reaction, awful awareness and more and more... yikes .. awful feeling.
Every night when I go home after work, done with all the important things of the day, I look for something to cheer up, before it was a co-op or ML on PES, now when I think of eF2020, something turns in my stomach, a lump in my throat gathers me and .. I don't want to think of this game. I thought the problem was in me, but no. It turns out when I talk to people, fans of the series, that many people think like me, either they are just afraid to say it because the crowd will accuse them of trolls, or because they just have a hard time explaining what the problem is in the game. For me, the difficulty is solely in the language barrier, but I personally understand very well what is fucked up in this game. Damn it, I've been playing it almost all my conscious life for god sake.
I've been doing BFL PES mods for many years, administering - moderating forums, paying for domains and a host for a PES site for 10 years now ... even wondering why I'm still doing it, I understand that in Bulgaria the PES community is almost gone, but here it is. I still do it and I don't know why.

I can't stand reading the comments or looking at reviews that say the eF2020 is the best PES of all time, it's an insulting to whole PES Legacy...

I have to agree that the expectation of a whole package is severely lacking.

However, cancel out 90% of the game and you may feel differently.

[ The game is input/investment-heavy. Once you rebalance output vs input, the enjoyment may return. ]

Thing is with PES20 they are so close to having a really good game but as usual there are annoyances that let the game down.
I mean they have all year to make and test the game yet no tester (if indeed there is one) has noticed the awful collision system and refs.
Plus how hard would it be to apply team tactics to teams and not have every team play the same.
The editing community put a ton of time into making the game look better than the other game so throw them a bone and at least get teams playing as they should. Unless I change a teams tactics theres no midfield in any game I play.

This nails it for me and I couldn't agree more. If they could sort out the AI and take away some of the cheap bullshit that it employs during a game and make the shooting more dynamic (Yes I know I only use Basic Shooting but the shooting isn't varied enough IMO) then the game would be a belter.

hey mates,

installed in steam, but germany commentary is worst as hell.

downloaded the dt41_eng_all.cpk and dt20_eng_x64.cpk copy in Data but cant select english commentary as in pes 2019

any idea ?

Once installed, pause game, press space bar (green-ish overlay should pop up) press 1 until you are in the camera menu, then use 0 and 9 to cycle through the options (height, angle, zoom etc). use + and - keys to adjust. Press space bar again to opt out.

It only works when you have the in-game camera on the one you want to adjust via sider (e.g. "you should be on 'Broadcast Camera' to adjust broadcast camera)
