Why do I don't have a LIVE0000000 file in my folder structure? Although my game says I have V 1.01.01, but still no updated transfers

Live update should be installed on fresh game without any OF or WPes. After live update you can install Of. I needed to delete edit file from save folder then updated live and at the end OF

That's the thing I don't have any OF installed, and I saw people doing fresh installments and that didn't help them so reinstalling the game, don't think that will help :(

Every time I get into the game it download and apply the last "live update", and it also happens when I start a new match...even If I click "yes" when it asks "do you want to save (or overwrite) new data?".
EVERY TIME....How can I fix that?

Any solution for this?
I applied the live update, then imported the "PES 2020 V1 Option File" from PESUniverse following a tutorial from youtube...every time I launch the game the live update starts....

I haven't tried this yet, but I'm thinking that we can edit the hosts file (C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc) with notepad and add the following:

127.0.0.1 pes20-x64-gate.cs.konami.net
0.0.0. pes20-x64-gate.cs.konami.net
127.0.0.1 gate.cs.konami.net
0.0.0.0 gate.cs.konami.net
127.0.0.1 34.210.179.237
0.0.0.0 34.210.179.237
Works..very nice simple idea mate...better than my hex edit the shit out of the exe :)
I did put another "0" in front of 0.0.0. pes20-x64-gate.cs.konami.net...so

127.0.0.1 pes20-x64-gate.cs.konami.net
0.0.0.0. pes20-x64-gate.cs.konami.net
127.0.0.1 gate.cs.konami.net
0.0.0.0 gate.cs.konami.net

0.0.0.0 34.210.179.237

I’ve no idea what they did but defending is so much harder and a lot less fun than the demo. It seems completely random if the player I’m controlling will actually make a tackle or just shimmy around an attacker until they’re goal side.

My defenders just do walkabouts when the opposition is making passes too leaving a load of space open. Not to mention the bug(?) of players stopping and turning the wrong way when I’ve switched to them leaving it impossible to get back.

These issues seem a lot worse in the final release compared to the demo.

Oh and yeah, must have typed it quick and didn't pay attention! Thanks for pointing it out.

Bit the bullet, first footie game since FIFA18 for me. Enjoying it immensely so far.
Am a United fan, and playing as them feels like real life at the moment: not easy! I was really struggling (Top Player) until I switched tactics, and played on the counter. Moved the midfielders deep, tracked runners and then looked to spring the forwards, and I've had great matches since then, barely ever getting more than 45% possession. Some amazing things I've seen:
- Lindelof put a free header in his box backwards and past De Gea, under no pressure. Frustrating but felt on point!
- A CPU character dove for a penalty and got booked.
- Scored a deflection off the back of a defenders heel, the most realistic looking goal I've seen in a football game.
- Poorly rated players suck. And lots of United players are poorly rated.

The one thing I'm struggling with is defending in my box, particularly when it's high pressure time in a match. The CPU forward always seem to get a yard of space, and can almost always get a shot away. They seem to turn much faster than me, and almost every goal I've conceded has been similar - I can't get near a midfielder, he plays it into the feet of a forward, takes one move before I can switch and he's scored. Any tips?

It's cool to watch but it's horrible to play this game. It's looking fine but it's playful for playing. Almost noting make any sense. Thing is just happening for some reason that I can't get. It's almost impossible to dribble vs AI because AI aways is waiting for you there where you feint or dribbling, you never fault AI, its always know what button you pressing where you going and how to FAK you. Again there some good animation, good graphic but it's painful for playing.

I love football games like PES 5, PES 6, PES 2013, PES 2018 where the gameplay is intuitive, makes some sense and you know what to expect when you press THAT button with THAT player... what you can feel, what is happening on the screen makes some sense, make YOUR sense, here in PES 2020 that seems is missing...

At least in Demo, you can make some cool, goals, dribbles, tricks, but now all it's gone. AI cheating and same times make the same pre-programming errors for that fake " randomness " feel again and again. The idiotic decision for fines control to be on Right stick now stinks even worst because the game does not know when you take the right stick, you will close-fines dribbling or you will make feint-trick and its need more time to see what you want that time make this fines dribbling most of the time USELESS because you lose momentum.

It may take me a while to set up and swallow the gameplay, but at this stage, I can safely say I hate the game.

About you saying "AI knows which button you press", this was absolutely shocking evidence in PES 2019, when you get a goal kick and you want to pass the ball to your player, from the moment you press X, AI already start to close you down

I’ve noticed this as well. There are times during games where the AI knows what you’re going to do as you do it. I’ve noticed a few times as well that it seems to take over so I pass or shoot in a different direction to the one I have held on the controller. I think I’m just going to stop playing this game for a while. It’s too frustrating.

I agree with both these posts about the AI being psychic. Like they're scripted to react to your direction changes when you are dribbling.

There are just so many issues ruining the game for me. It just doesn't feel fun at all. Few things I've noticed as being big issues...

Some of the animations are far too long. For example, after a collision, your player is stunned for about 3 seconds.

The referee is terrible. I've been clearly fouled in the area about 5 times and not received a single penalty.

AI tactics are abysmal. Worst case being the deep defensive line/swarm the box combined with conservative defence style that the AI uses. Means you can literally walk through the midfield unchallenged, but then be presented with a wall of bodies.

General unresponsiveness in tight spaces. Applies to when you are dribbling in tight spaces or when you receive a pass.

Finesse dribbling - as soon as you face a defender up and touch the right stick, they seem to just stand off you. This is fine, however, I've stood with the ball for 30 seconds (real time) without anybody trying to tackle me. This is also a problem when you keep possession in your own half against teams with low defensive lines. Nobody comes to tackle you for a minute or so (real time).

There is too much open space in the pitch...almost like it is a bit too big - not a massive issue granted.

Practically every player in Master League is ridiculously expensive. I've just sold William Carvalho for £104m. That's insane.

Anyway, the game has some great elements and I will keep going with it. Just gutted I am not feeling the same enjoyment as some others seem to be doing

anyone else getting errors when trying to apply live update. Getting asked to choose my country and accept the licenses every time i load the game, then when trying to apply update getting an error message, followed by another regarding verifying account or something.....

Whenever i want to replace host file with the edited one, windows refuses to save, any idea ?

i corrected those "stuttering" problems by putting the game on 60 fps and activating vsync on the nvidia panel
if the game were on 30 fps it was still shit

the gameplay on match day its closer to the demo because the players arrows are always up and you "gain back" the quick players mobility a little bit

the gameplay difference its night and day after those changes

its not on the level of the demo of course but still, i guess i was suffering from massive input lag cause by this, i dont know..
