eFootball PES 2020 Discussion Thread (PC)

Morning guy's, how do I get passed the user terms on start up to enable updates please, I click on agree to terms but I can't seem to get rid of the pop ups?

It's probably a really simple solution but I can't see it :CONF:

OMG.. Difference between Top Player and Superstar in ML - more scripted and nothing else.
Why do we need all these new ML features if AI turn on scripts when he loses?

True, I really feel like I don't do the passing in this game. It's basically following a flow chart where a lot of randomness gets induced, ultimately resulting in a boring game where you're not really in control.
Every game I played the ai is just passing the ball back and it's just super frustrating to play against. I cannot understand how some people say they're frightened when an AI player is running at their defence. Just stand in front of that player and guaranteed it will pass the ball back.
A lot of cursor fails where the ball is literally in front of one of my players but still I won't get to select the player or it's already too late. The AI is too strong in this regard too, I feel like every 50/50 situation where a ball is not in possession by any team but rather bouncing in the penalty area will mostly result in them getting the ball. Well not every time but you sort of understand what I mean when you play a couple of games. This is not a 2020 problem rather a current gen issue.
On every aspect I just listed I think the demo handled it better. It just baffles me.

This is weird. Try editing United so they have Rashford and Martial up top and the Lingard in behind. And obviously play on superstar if you aren't already. My first game was against them and Rashford constantly tried to beat a man and get a shot away. They had something like 14 shots. Still got a cheeky 1-0 win though by hitting them on the counter with Aubumeyang and Pepe

Hello guys! Just to report I activated the game via VPN even steam send me message that I activated the game and if I have any issues to report :D
I have a problem with stuttering. I bought new pc this summer and I am new with Nvidia settings (AMD user before). Tried to disable last two cores in Affinity but with no luck. I have connected my pc with 60Hz tv and I don`t have problems with other games. Even Pes 2020 demo was buttery smooth but vsync options from demo were gone from the settings. Tried to set vsync with Nvidia profile inspector, tried half refresh rate, 1/4, 1/3 but nothing changes. Anyone managed to fix the stuttering?

sorry but ive played the demo A LOT ! 15 minutes full manuall and it was bloddy good, co scripting, misses passes by AI even on superstar, locical misses shoots by AI

now in Version 1.0.1.01 playing against CPU its like in PES 2019... 1on1 not far as enjoyable as in the demo, CPU scores if they get the chance, less physicallity, not a single faulty pass by AI. and just pressing..

liked the Demo much more...

What is your cpu, gpu ? what resolution you are playing at ?

I really can't understand your bad impressions. Really. I enjoy it like in the demo. Maybe it's style of play. I earn fouls, many- many missplaced passes by AI. And most importantly like in the demo many mistakes in first touch by AI I love that. I scored Lewandowski yesterday amazing goal. AI in midfield won the header wanted to pass backward to the last defender and he did not manage to take the ball by first touch. Lewandowski was offside but he took the ball and was 1vs1 with the keeper. That was amazing. Big difference between teams like England Vs Kosowo or NL Vs DE

100% agree mate. The biggest problem it's Konami let us try this masterpiece that Demo is...

There 're a lot of subtle changes that makes the overall game huge worse than demo in terms of fun:
ball physics, automatisms, physicality, player control, weight, AI humanity,...
Maybe someone will create a mod that takes all the best bits from the demo ^^

Hi, I fixed the stutter by going into 'Manage 3D settings' in the Nvidia Control Panel. Under the Program Settings tab, I selected the PES2020 exe so I could tweak settings just for that. In the settings list, I changed 'Preferred refresh rate' to 'Application-controlled' and the 'Vertical sync' to 'Use the 3D application setting' and it seems to work for me.

I'd love to get a view on everyone's favourite PES(s) so I can see where they are coming from when they put up a view.

My fav were..

ISS Pro Evo (1 and 2)
PES 2008
PES 2015 (don't laugh I'm willing to discuss this!)

Winning Eleven 7 International

Greatest football game ever made.

I’ve only played two games admittedly, but in my first I was Man United v SPAL and they committed around 5 fouls to my one. Second game I played as a lower league team against Juve I think and I committed a bunch of fouls. I generally think the referee is a bit better than the demo.

Winning Eleven 9: Limeware Evolution by miles. As I posted here and in the PS4 section PES 2020 has right now the most advanced cpu AI. Only minor issue is that sometimes occurs a hesitation in movement on loose balls. They can easily fix this though.

Hmm.. weird i haven't had stutter problems with intel and nvidia mix all this time with PES series.

I would try..
1. Update nvidia driver and or
2. Use frame limiter set to 60 in Nvidia inspector as wel as vysnc on.
tried all that but with no luck... also tried to lower ingame settings to medium but that is not the cause. Drivers were updated two-three days ago. don`t know what to do... demo was buttery smooth

What kind of monitor or TV do you have. Do they have gsync, freesync. What FPS are you getting and is it constant.

Another classic.

tv is Sony Bravia. In windows settings it says 60Hz also I have set the pc in Game mode just becouse of that and low input lag. With different vsync options I get different types of stuttering, sometimes more sometimes less but it stutters a lot. Fps are not the issue, I ran more demanding and far more fast moving games without issues. Will try that low latency mode described above, that is my last hope. Any other suggestion maybe?
Thanks for helping guys, all of you!

I can't really produce a list of my favourite PES games as I usually find something good and something bad with each, but well... You're not the only one liking PES 2015. I think it was a very good game overall (once again, with its shortcomings).
Then I'd say PES 2017 (overall the one I liked the most till now, but I think PES 2020 will end up being superior if they don't screw it up) and, for the old-school games, PES 5.
I know PES 6 is generally held in much higher regard nowadays, but all in all I felt PES 5 more "lifelike" (even if it had its fair share of bugs, too).

Have you tried vsync off but limiting your fps to 60 or even one or two lower. I'm an Nvidia user thats gone to amd and the one thing I found on both cards oddly only with both PES and Fifa is they don't like fps over you refresh rates. Had to use a work around last year involving rendering the game with my 1080 ti but using a program to send the display output through a rx 550 to my tv

I had stutters in the demo when I updated to the latest NVidia driver 436.15.
When I deinstalled it and went back to 435.02 it was gone.

Maybe try that.

Can I ask here Mate, and everyone else, please don't engage that post by @fatehasfans ( which I have now removed as off topic, sorry Pal. )

If people want to discuss their favourite PES games & go retro, either find a thread or start a new one.

Keep bang on topic please. eFootball PES 2020 PC.

I've only really played 2-player games on the full game as had a friend round last night but I can't really see much difference from the demo. Maybe a touch pacier in feel but that could be down to using different teams (The Dutch national team are phenomenal in this).

My main issue is the lack of V-Sync options as I felt turning this off and letting Nvidia do it helped with the demo, though I haven't had any major issues with low latency set to Ultra.

I mention in various places that I play fully manual and I know this irritates some people but hopefully it won't here. I feel it's important to say as this could be the difference. On manual, I'm probably less likely to notice any differences in terms of pass assistance and shooting so if that's changed, I probably wouldn't notice. Similarly, the 'on rails' criticisms aren't as relevant to me. I'd heard that criticism of PES for years and never really understood it, even when I played with default settings. It was only after struggling on manual and turning PA1 on that I suddenly felt really removed from what I was doing. I can't play with assists in football games at all now and it's a bit annoying as I'm not great on manual but the games just feel so much better and more rewarding.

There are all the usual issues for sure but, having played Konami football games since the first ISS on SNES, I think I'm just used to them. People are right to complain and ask for improvements in presentation and other areas but after nearly 25 years I'm just hard-wired to expect these 'quirks' now. It's wrong of me, but I do read some of the criticisms and think 'what were you expecting?'

Ultimately, I paid less than £30 for this game. I've already put 30+ hours into the demo and will play the full game for at least 100-200. It's hard to complain too much about that and I do really think it's the best PES yet. It's hard to compare it to memories of 5 or 6 because they were different times. It is flawed and I celebrate the efforts of people who criticise and push for improvements because we need them, but let's keep a little perspective.
