Shielding is automatic and "contextual" in PES, it is not mapped to anything...As far as i know at least. Do you mean something else? Or you mixed-up the threads?

I mean they mess up the update again and this time game saves would be deleted?

If we're talking about edit file (edit000000000), unless you apply live update nothing will be deleted. The game itself always make a backup of edit file it's called bedit00000000.
try to verify your game on steam, it happened to all legit users last week but hours later it's been fixed

It deleted the whole of My save folder,including system ML and replays.Live update is blocked anyway by Netblock module.
Just saying.

Are you sure your steam app doesn't blocked by firewall or antivirus ? 🤔 once steam connects to internet, it should fix the game.

Well, mine works fine tho. Nothing is deleted.
It's probably related about yesterday bugs on pes lite, that's why all of the sudden there's new about today because many pes lite users use this bug to make pes lite into full game, who knows.

We are talking about update to full game via Steam, not Lite Mate.
so here's the deal.
I was playing it in family view.
my brother played the game and we used this option to both start different profiles of the games.
now what , are you telling me konami is serving me lite version? or this has to do with steam?
it all worked well until today. other games we share are still worlking as they should

It was konami's fault. I'm sure steam only provides the updates based on konami files. Anyway like i said many pc users experienced this as well last week ( full version to lite version ) but it's been fixed on the same day few hours later.
If verifying the game files doesn't work maybe you should reinstall the game.

It's the same thing this year, there's just some kind of DLC to differentiate between the versions.
