The dreamteam thing could actually be good if the game would have some sort of balance preventing you from ending up with a team consisting of only Mbappe, Neymar, Mess, van Dijk etc, etc which will be the case in a couple of weeks. Then the game will be FUT. It's of course what they want but the idea of different playing styles, grinding players in training etc is quite fun.
I'm with you both on this one, it's so disappointing when most players have teams that look almost identical only a few weeks in, but that's how myClub was every single year really. I find these online modes to be such a waste, because I actually enjoy them conceptually, the whole aspect of the cards reminds me of those sticker albums for tournaments and all, it's nostalgic in a way, and it's made even better by having those cards actually level up, as you see all of the players you're fond of growing with time. I feel that the main way myClub stopped you from using all of the top players that were given to you within the first few weeks after launch was by making their contracts really expensive, but now that's no longer a thing, so I wonder how most teams will look in a while. I do wish these modes had an actual grind, in a way that you were actually incentivized to level up your current players instead of going for top players as soon as possible, and it's how I played myClub for the most part, I'd get all of these legends and stuff, but almost never use it, I preferred playing my weaker team. I have a hard time understanding how Konami makes a profit with micro transactions when it's always so easy to acquire top players, why do people buy it?This is something I could never understand. Why not add some sort of a grind? Its so rewarding to build your team over time. Back in the beginning of Master League when after first season I could only buy 1 or 2 players and they were just slightly better than what had.. it was so rewarding to experience that slow progress..
At times I feel there might be some internal conflict in Konami, from what I can see the developers are aiming for a simulation, with a lot of the things they've tried adding to eFootball, but while this is their vision, what they want to make, it's not what the marketing at Konami wants, since they know it's not what sells.I’m confused by Konami. Are they pushing a Sim still or are they getting away from Sim? The messaging seems very mixed. They seem like they’re unsure themselves. It’s pretty much the first question they needed to answer for themselves…
