It's like Konami making a trailer and showing how looks their beaver, and then some people talking and thinking like are some mystics involved because the game it's not like was presented in the trailer, and the beaver could be something different... but in the end they'll release literally their beaver...

Pretty much the only thing that 2k gets right is graphics,offline modes are pretty much every mode having an insane amount of grind without paying

Wow, I guess this does help a lot to put things in perspective. Outsiders (like me) often have this idea of Nba2K being this almost perfect thing in the field, but it's evidently really not. Hearing the argument of this guy, I think that if we had a 2K football game it wouldn't be something so incredibly far from what we currently already have.

Agree!! AI is dumb as a brick both on offense and defense and there is an exploit in every game mode (5v5 or 3v3) that allows you to score in every single position without any resistance from AI (at least in NBA 2k20 and 2k is aware of that from the release, but didn't care/had knowleadge to fix it) - so yeah 2k have graphics and presentation and that's about it!!

Go play Myleague (which is the best sports SIM out there) and completely free of grind/VC
You're describing what's pretty much the 2k version of the Journey.

Agree completely. Good times!

FIFA was pretty good around 2007-2011 too, we had FIFA 08 which I loved at the time, FIFA WC South Africa etc.

It's all been downhill for both PES and FIFA since.
 
Number of pro players on 2K counting only IG and after transfers (i selected "Nba Series 3, i suppose it something like that):
Around 882.

Same for PES 2021 removing fakes and featured and keep only real players, perhaps some duplicates to remove (there were 10-15 to remove from AFC so)
Around 20675. Without J1 and J2 (so around 1300-1500 players in more, let's count around 40 as teams in J-League have big roster *44... counting the 2 removed and two promoted, free agents created.... It's litterally more than all player you got in 2K.)

Incomparable, and i even decreased a bit PES number in the doubt. Fifa should be around the same number, they got leagues PES don't have and vice-versa, but perhaps around 500 to 1000 players in more (i didn't remembered the very low division on England and D2)
Practically the same number as players in total on NBA2K difference from a game to another.

Don't imagine you will get the same LOD for all players. 22 vs 10 on the pitch +2 trainers let's say, and they even got the luxury to put tons of realistic crowd, without slowdown.

.... Number of players on the pitch, to handle and the size of the court, not necessary to put it there. And ONLY 2K Czech who doesn't exist anymore was focused on Europeans/International sports such as Tennis with Top spin.

You see 2K with NBA eyes, but if they do a Football game, it won't looks nothing like it, except perhaps presentation. Mode? i don't know but yes, it's possible. But whatever : if "Michael Owen's soccer" or i don't remember the name gotted a career mode with the same gameplay... I would not lay a finger on it.

Plus, you can count they won't got access to every licences like EVEN for presentation : they got all freedom they want with NBA2K, zero restriction.

I only talk about NBA2K view or their American games against football, soccer for them. Not especially vs Efootball of course, Fifa too.

Football games is an hard world. Especially since EA dominating it (not the case for NBA, they never worked with those exclusivity shit : looks how many games on Snes / Megadrive until PS2 with NBA licence ;)

I don't think the "level of trash" of a 2K FOOTBALL / SOCCER game will be better than what with got now. Any-days.

You have no idea how far even the "trashy" Fifa or PES are really. Because there's nothing to compare.
At least, there's 2 teams of devs who gots bollocks to try to enter the competition, which is not a bad thing : we will know what level are really the trashy games as we call them (Fifa 20-21 for) we're playing are that amateurish / as the competitior aren't big companies.

It's a good way to compare. But Namco, 2k, Capcom, i don't know what other big company i can put on a paper who's already made at least a sport game on the paper, didn't tried since a very long time.

The trailer highlighted just five Team Playstyles, and Konami has confirmed to us that there are no immediate plans to add more.” There will eventually be more opportunities to tinker with your team’s tactics with “the ability to give tactical instructions to each [individual] player.” This will, however, not be available at launch, and will instead be rolled out with a later update.

The Duel Camera – a new camera mode that zooms into individual one-on-one battles during matches – has been the subject of much contention among those waiting to get their hands on eFootball. While the dynamic camera aims to highlight Konami’s focus on one-on-one battles, many have worried they won’t be able to turn off the zooming or switch to more traditional camera modes.

Konami says that while you can’t turn off or alter the zoom in Duel Camera mode, standard camera modes will be on offer as well. “Stadium camera, Dynamic Wide camera, and others that were included in previous games will be available,” Konami tells The Loadout.

The final grey area from the gameplay trailer was around the new Sharp Kick mechanic, which takes more time for your player to perform but allows them to execute long, arcing passes or powerful, dipping shots. It was not totally clear from the trailer exactly how this would be performed, but Konami says that it will be manually performed by you with its own button bind.

Using a PS5 controller as an example, Konami confirms that Sharp Kicks are performed by “fully pressing the R2 trigger and kick button.”

Wtf have they been doing this last year when simple gameplay mechanics are not included at launch...beggars belief that they actually marketed the 'sharp kick mechanic' but to then say its not in the game for a while :LOL:

Gameplay updates will be for free, they can't make an update that costs money that allows you to do X or y move. Would drastically separate players that pay from those who don't and would ruin the competitive eSports vibe they are trying to give to the game, besides it would be so bad press that people would stop playing and they would loose money.

Even cameras will "come later"!? It will practically be a skeleton at launch lol.
EDIT: misread that line, it says the opposite, so there WILL be cameras from the get go.

It will be a skeleton with a shirt on indeed.

The majority of time must have been making it XPLAY , it's evidently not been on menus , gameplay , graphics , animations , menus , tactics etc etc so there's not much else to conclude
 
Miserable update today. It's the worst case scenario unfolding. So not only will the five pre-defined Playstyles combine attacking and defending etc. They also won't be editable with no plans in the near future to make them editable. Extremely dumbed down tactics.
