How about you wind your neck in? Its a discussion about the game. Stop jumping to Konami's defence.Jesus guys. How many days, three? You're whining about this ONLINE demo test for three days now and bashing Konami for no reason.
I mean seriously. How can you say that Konami's marketing is crap when they literally saying on ther official site what the hell this beta game is. And you didn't have to scroll down because the MAIN info is there on the top! You're just lazy af to read it!
https://www.konami.com/wepes/obt/en/ps5/
But hey I can copy it for you AGAIN!
"The purpose of this beta test is to evaluate the quality of the online matchmaking and connection to the servers. Please note that gameplay mechanics, balancing, animations and graphics are all under development and will be improved before the official launch."
Now please stop this nonsense and wait for the official game. All of you are acting like 10 year olds. You can judge the game when it's released.
It's obvious btw that this engine is still FOX not UE5 or UE4. You've seen the first teaser that's how the game will look like. Be patient for Christ sake.
Konami made another version just for testing the netcode? Surely one can't be that naive to believe that.
The second claim doesn't really make sense – in what world does a game publisher/developer decide to test out their servers/netcode in some generic fashion, in a manner unrelated to the game they want people to play over those servers, and to do so they release a football-themed game made on the engine they're using for the new football game they're making? When you spell it out like that, it is absurd. They already know how their servers handle a big load. They have PES running on their servers already and thousands connecting to them right now. This is a connection performance test for an early build of the next PES game (whatever branding they end up using).
New Football Game : Online Performance TestSeriously, what was the point of this test?
Hello Daniel.Dude, this is said very much. There is a game called "new Football Project". It was made by Konami for Android. You can search it on google. Its the same game, beside that you can now controll the players.
Even the UI is the same.
The name is the same.
Its just a shame that people don't wanna listen/read anymore.
Its absurd that they called it "new football project", thats the same name they give to a game in December 2020 for Android and that people stil say "its PES 2022"..
When you look on YT you see a video of New Football Project. Its totally the same. Even the UI is the same. Thats what in front of your eyes. Not the things you are claiming..
They wanted to know if the server are stil good when lots of people playing a game. Lot of the questions on the Survey can be asked for lag control..
Hello Daniel.
This online testing version is NO demo or beta version.
Nothing there the judge the final product.
There are some things like pace, deflections (ball behaviour in general) etc that looks and feels promising for final version.
But I think gameplay, graphics (awful player models, crowd, graphics in general) etc will be totally another level like in this version - I think Konami does not want to show anything regarding PS5 / XSX version at this time, especially not in a playable version.
I think end of July we will see what PES 2022 is capable of and hopefully we will have a demo in August.
https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/2RCJ...41.1296029230.1624514025-478066750.1622083492God, i can't do more than this. If people don't wanna know, they don't gonna know.
Why Konami don't say "its PES 2022 beta"? Why they give it the name "new football project"? Why are they claiming its only for testing servers? And we all know there are Server issues with PES 2021?
And why does the UI looks like the UI of New Football Project on Android/Mobile?
Why you call my Daniel, i don't know. Another proof people don't read anymore![]()
You’re really misunderstanding peoples issues.
The game is also just 8GB or something? Thats the proof its not UE and its not PES 2022 but meaby a mobile version.
Most of the games who are nextgen are much bigger. Even PES 2021 demo was bigger.
You’re really misunderstanding peoples issues.
Yes this beta test may be the mobile game or based on the mobile game but this is 100% what the next gen game will be based on at full release.
The next gen game will be based on the mobile game/ Fox engine game.
There’s no other magical, super, full next gen game in development. This is what you’re getting.
Is it worth the negative feedback they are getting from hardcore fans? It's not OK to release unfinished builds like this, first impressions count a lot.New Football Game : Online Performance Test
It's in the title?
Why do you think that?
It more logical that they don't want us to see anything about the game PES 2022. Therefore they used a mobile game.
Dont forget they claiming that they working on PES 2022 two years by now. So if you think that this is it, then you are naiev..
Ofcourse this is just a network testing thing. Thats what Konami states on their website.
When you are right, then Konami lost it. Two years of working and this it what it is. Hilarious. But i think, we better wait for end of July.
Dear god, please stop with the "this is not pes it's some other game".
Yes it's not the release version, everyone understands that, but it is the next pes at some point in development and people are discussing that.

Not trying to defend Konami here, but I don't think they would want to give away what their game will look/feel like through an Online Demo test. This differs from PES 2018 in that we already knew that it going to be a Fox Engine game and nothing mind blowing was expected. Is it worth the negative feedback they are getting from hardcore fans? It's not OK to release unfinished builds like this, first impressions count a lot.
(To compare, PES 2018 got a similar online test around August 2017, but it was a way more advanced build back then
It's better to set our expectations straight, and get a bad backlash now --which will be tempered down by calls of it being "just a beta"-- then have it mellow down over the next month till the official reveal, instead of have us build up the game with high expectations, then the reveal is met with a storm of backlash. Is it worth the negative feedback they are getting from hardcore fans? It's not OK to release unfinished builds like this, first impressions count a lot.

Yeah the discussion is non existant. It's just become an echo chamber of low effort complaining or cussing about a clearly unfinished, free product. So much drama, we have reached Emoweb-territory early this year. I have made fun of this Online-test-Football-Whatever but I don't see the point in acting like it's some traumatizing event if the final game turns out to be poor. I don't think it will, and I actually think some people here will be pissed off if they can't have a never ending moan about how bad it is, but either way, I will live. Or at least the game being poor won't be what kills me.
I have always been passionate about PES, but come on. It's still just a video game.
How can I blame Konami PR when the discord surrounding this franchise has been nonsense for years? First it was builds and their states, then it was just the demo and not the final game, this year it’s just a beta.I dont like this...
When Konami states: This is PES 2022, this is for next gen, then nobody excuse them. But they are not clear about what this is. They called it "new football Project". When you search on YT you can find some footage from a half year ago. Thas looks like it, only different is that the footage is about manager game.
There is a cirkle around the player that you can find in a mobile version of the game..
So it can be a new football project, it can be a port of mobile version, it can be pes 2022 in a rough state.
Blame Konami PR, not the people who "excuse them"..
This game don't looks like next gen. It looks like 2008.

I was testing some more. The connection seemed not that good, even when I choose users nearby. This translated into the software for me. I was really digging deep and such but the only good thing I can find right now is the raise in access numbers for this website!
E.V.O.
have a relaxed weekend you all!
