eFootball (All Platforms)

you actually thought that there would be some progress in the game before it have a "full version" the game would be as it is. So far, there will only be minor changes. the most unusual is when it is written 2.4. is dead, what the hell is wrong with you because there is small difference at all between 1.0 and 2.4... the game has potential, but there are a lot of bugs, shortcomings, there are no teams, and they even have license agreements with konami, half of the things are locked, still online it's nothing special and it's like a beta version for me. I give them the only hope with the master league, but only IF the game is greatly improved, which I expect.

Tomjaz i really think you misunderstand my point especially when you speak of the lack of things to do and small differences between 1.0.0. And 2.4.0. Which isnt true at all. There's not only large differneces but the game has become rudderless with constant changes literally on a weekly basis.

My point on 2.4.0. Being dead is its simply unplayable in regards to just gameplay alone. Since 1.0.0. This has by far in a looong way been the WORST version since then. This is especially annoying since while 2.3.0 wasant anything special i was at least having fun online playing Full Manual against anyone and actually winning vs Assisted players, thats now just gone in 2.4.0.

None of my point covers the barebones disgrace the rest of the 'free to play' game is. We all know its pathetic, we also all know online is a dull, pay to win only shitshow. I'm speaking only in gameplay experience because this is all efootball is and has been since October 2021. There is no full game or proper offline expeirence.

I'll take 2.2.0 over the christmas, new year period for example. The gameplay changed literally week to week via tweaks after every live update. Some major things such as chip shot mechanisum changing entirely to gameplay rebalancing which resulted in me going from dominating matches using a very aggressive 3-4-3 diamond possesion formation to losing vs noobs using the usual Quick Counter and G.Zielder (Klopp) then the next week it changed again to make possesion game actually viable again.

This is why i said earlier the game has lost its identity. Its not FIFA which is full arcade online, its nowhere near deep enough to be a sim. Its all over the place. It's got the potential even now to be a sim we can all enjoy but its ruined by dreadful balancing in tackling, passing, suspect ball physics which seem to help one player over the other.

it's your own fault that you're playing this game all the time. I tried a few games with each update, but I didn't notice any noticeable differences... The biggest difference was between 0.9 and 1.0 and that's it... of course in the long run you will find more bad things in 2.4.0 than previous versions because they haven't made drastic progress since 1.0.0

So there you said it. You only played a few games so your not aware of the major differences. Even the weekly changes. i don't know why your trying to go on as if you have more awareness than me on the games current state.

I don't get the whole 'its my fault' for playing it as if I'm being forced to play or something  what a bizarre comment.

I'm frustrated because some of the versions since 1.0.0. have been very good and fun
Now its dreadful. I have experienced better so its important to voice this so Konami know this aint acceptable.

As for potential. Look at the step by step dribbling above. I spoke about this when 1.0.0 was released, its just a shame this is totally undermined by the overpowered beyond reason tackling mechanism. Even as I've been going back to PES 2021 which is still better overall, it dosen't have anything close to that.

what is not clear to you? no BIG CHANGES since 1.0.0! not your minor changes that you see after 500 hours of playing... No version has appealed to me, but it hasn't until now. I like the style of play and they need to use this potential with a lot of improvement. New animations, physics, ball, graphics and etc

No big changes but after for example 3 update the game was clearly different, even added the teamates pressing which is, i would'n't say BIG changes, but very palpable changes like almost an annual version to another on some games, ain't joking (just check some others yearly games and i don't talk about Fifa)

I remember it was more or less balanced on 1.40 no? I tried but i just can't with all the circus to start a game or whatever, didn't feel at ease at all from the 2nd reason, but the first was the 2 dimensional Ball physics in a 3D world.

Got a small hope at first as the physics law and the dribbling, positionning was respected, thinkin the game would increase in "technicity" or technology/algorithm call it how you want, but it's the same build since the 1.00 with some added animations perhaps on one version then stop > the game would still always the same without changes and they just "slidered" the games.

Even if i truely believe the engine is more open to new algorithms : it serves to nothing as now is making the game quicker and easier for more reactivity and plug'n'play for guys who don't give a damn about football but loves Skybets and all. They didn't completely bashed the law of physics like Fifa so for some people : there's still a hope. To me they make a 90 then a 180 move, and i think it's definitive.
That's the game present and future and i won't see why they should change it... Only if sales drops again.

I found refuge in retro, but i don't know for how many time. I must admit that those games, as good as they are, are limited. Like Street Fighter II or even III and all sequel, there's a moment when as good as it is you want some change. Not even something better : just a change following the same path.
Change(s) doesn't means totally different, i would like another real PES, but that game isn't unfortunately and will never be (well from my taste as i liked the (17-19-21, and tolerated the others except the 16 and 18)

Pes 11, 12 and 13 are the Candy of the cupcake still funny to play them nowadays

To be honest i only like the 2011, the only who got the sensations of physicality, and weight shift, ball strength... That's a fundamental for me.
The others don't have it and i even prefers PES 2014 but it's not the subject. On the old game i would prefers to switch to the concurrent version 14 on PS4 or PC.

Just to say that everyone got things which are close to our hearts, and without it... Like the feeling of "solidity" in every sense.

It's hard to like some game : the issue is it was present and they removed it one game after another.

 calm down. There has clealry been big changes.

In 1.0.0. If you didnt use L2 to defend you got schooled by a good player because defending was good and very manual but very raw and full of bugs and flaws.

2.0.0. Changed defending completly as it became in control easier and very automated, along with positioning bugs and refinement to all formations so off the ball the game became less open by default, problem is the CPU just holds your hand just defends for you too much.

That alone is a big change. As you said, if you arent playing in much so its on you for not seeing this immediatley when 2.0.0. hit. No need to get so worked up and expect everyone to agree from your perspective.

Seems Ricky is enjoying himself on Manual at least.

The best most enjoyable way to play the game and best fun had over the last 6 weeks or so was manual on the rather mediocre overall 2.3.0.

Hey I would play everyday if there was a manual-only league I can log into. I just hope it's moddable by the time offline is introduced because every single match looks the same as it currently stands.

Manual works when everything else in the game reaches to a general level of satisfaction. I'm talking teammate ai, opponent ai, player movement, movement sensitivity of the controlling player, refereeing, collisions, animations, and other nuances that add to an enjoyable experience. You can't successfully pass the ball manually if your teammates aren't responsive to your inputs. Efootball is a downgrade from pes even though pes wasn't always that good when it came to manual controls.

Also, who the fuck is going to play manual in a game that rewards instant gratification? Manual controls is about playing the game with patience and awareness rather than blitzing your passes to the 6yard box. Hell, most pro players don't give a shit about manual controls. Again, everything in this game is cheap. Cheap thrills, cheap results.

Why do you think we all mock fifa and deservingly so? Same reason.

Amount of things happening on the field sometimes simply insane, specially when momentum (scripting or whoever call it) do not let you to score by any possible way (passes are goes to completely wrong side, bar of shoot (pass) is not correct to your press to button, script simply move players from your own teams from path of opponent end etc and even controls simply stop working).
Sadly it is real state of soccer games now.
And "git gud" is a good strategy but not so suitable to this.

Holy cow! I did not play for some time, and ... what he&& Do they do with the game? It's fast as %a(k ! Everything is happening so crazy fast, it's like Sensible Soccer in Steroids, it's almost faster than FIFA or even worst now... it's pure arcade fast.

Do you know the Boiling frog story? That is what is happening here! They heat it up, fasting up slowly after each update ... now is a ludicrous level.

What camera angle are people using to get a good view of the pitch?

I was using blimp for a while and the view was perfect but I just couldn’t get to grips with tackling.

Using dynamic wide custom just now (0 zoom 10 height) and tackles are much better but it’s just a bit too zoomed in for me.

I messed around with stadium but couldn’t find an optimal view.

I see no point in having an club edit mode if you're negotiating for more licenses. Granted, these licences end up being utterly useless, but the whole point of having an edit mode was to give modders and the community the ability to add a sense of authenticity to the game. From a business perspective, I don't think it would be beneficial to Coinami to allow users to edit clubs and use real licensed team in their games that they don't have the licenses to, and risking further negotiations with other licensed clubs.

We ignored all the warning signs that followed Kojima's exit thinking what happened to MGS, Silent Hill, will never happen to PES, but it happened. Coinami does not have in their locker anymore to innovate and making good games. They are not going to spend the money and manpower to develop Efootball into this juggernaut of a game that we all hoped and expected. When a company as grossly incompetent as Coinami spends 80mil to make a game and it underperforms in sales, don't expect that same company to do it again with their other IPs. The best you can hope for is Coinami selling the rights of Efootball to a company like Sony, but I doubt that will ever happen.
