eFootball (All Platforms)

I played three matches. One was really laggy, the other two quite good. I think finally they improved shooting, i scored one quite satisfying goal and even basic shooting felt a bit less restricted.
In gameplay there are some good things some bad things. This is definitely going to be another missed opportunity by Konami. They always improve something and make other things worse.

After playing it on my Ps5 i am not so worried anymore about graphics, they are so bad and replays struggle to even reach 30 fps, the pitch is grainy, noticed that the crowd from aerial view is one big gif of people jumping together, this can't be how they will release the game. It's so ugly it looks like a Ps3 Pes game.

I don't think you should delude yourself thinking that the final game will be completely different from this. Unfortunately, the final game will be based on this, that's for sure.
 
The biggest problem is their horrid communication. They are simply bad at it. Nothing is ever clear. And whatever is left of the western branch has done nothing to help them for the last decade.

They’re a cheap company and that translates into everything they do. Just this week their official merch store apparently stole Silent Hill fan artwork and was selling it on printed shirts. Their profits overall are skyrocketing however.

It's baffling that this is something open to the public, these networking betas are pretty normal for games. But they're closed, always closed, because the experience won't be good.

It doesn't help that on top of that they decided to just slap the mobile version into the consoles. Even if the final game is miles ahead, again, this will be the first look fans have at your game. It's just bizarre.

They even change the name, so nobody could see this is PES. Its only to test the online gaming.
Maeby they can test it with PONG.

This is not a beta for PES 2022. Its writen all over.

Its clear, when people take the time to read. Its not a beta for PES 2022. We have to wait untill 22-07-21. Then we will have more information about the game PES 2022.
They even changed the name, so no one would think this is PES 2022.

What on earth were Konami thinking releasing this load of rubbish? Prior to this I was interested but not excited about PES 2022, mainly because we all know new game engines/consoles and PES do not mix very well (PES 2008 and 2014). Now I have no interest all and any curious football gamer who downloaded this is likely never to touch the full game.

At least now we know why Konami were so quiet and only did one interview where they didn't say anything - its because they've got a real stinker on their hands.

Konami appear to have confirmed to.both eurogamer and ign that it is an early version of the game they will release as pes 2022. And they imply as much on their own website.

Lets hope we're wrong but every indication is that this is the a beta/alpha what have you.

Oh yeah I also saw several passes made by people with PA set to "1" going astray. In that regard I think you're right.
In the two matches I played till now, my opponent with PA1 (green bar) would average 75 to 80% passes while I would average 65 to 70% with PA4 (red bar).
Keep in mind though that now PA1 is the maximim assistance allowed and PA4 is "full manual" (which I find a little more difficult than PA0 in PES 2021) so the percentages don't mean much.
What is good (and sorry for thinking you were joking) is that at the moment also with fully assisted passing, passes aren't laser guided anymore apparently.

On a different note, second match pretty smooth even if I was matched against a player from Brazil. Then it suddenly froze out of the blue around minute 80 and... You guessed it. Game over. Again.

I think the reason they may of done that is for the trigger feedback on PS5. On fifa it gets harder to press as they get tired. Or offers more resistance. I have to tun it off as I use R1 for sprint and R2 for finesse.

Default is 1, manual is 4. So if manual is 4, should 3 not be least assisted? Does that mean I was playing highest pass assist? Or lowest? :LOL:
I need to look at some pictures of shoes on twitter... the answer might be hidden there... :LOL:
 
On a different note... I don't get that hideous circle around players when I'm on the ball on Xbox One.
To be fair, I don't get the crowd either and the game looks like ISS Pro 98 (kinda) in terms of resolution and player models... So it may just be that they scaled it down too much on Xbox One and some things went missing.

Just bear in mind that this is allegedly the fruits of two years worth of labour. For that reason alone, this cannot be close to the final product. Let alone the quotes last month of them striving for photo realistic graphics.

Maybe I can't see it because I reduced the "on screen garbage" to the minimum (no nameplate at the bottom, no guides for movement or for free kicks, things like those). I like my PES (and FIFA, for what it's worth) matches to look as much as possible like the ones I see on the TV in terms of graphics/presentation (apart from the essential things like cursor above the players and power bar which, playing without assists, is pretty much mandatory).

I assume it is combined with "movemnet guide", so since you switched off you don't have it. Just guessing.

I would agree if it wasn’t for the bizarre survey asking if you are happy with the games mechanics from tackling to tactics and shooting.

That just doesn’t make sense to me.

Surely the questions should be limited to connection and stability during the game. Not, how do you rate the shooting trajectory etc.
 
It appears they've brought back the R1 + R3 knock the ball on animation but I need to test a couple of times when these idiots aren't spamming pressure mindlessy while i'm experimenting with the controls.

By the way, How do we actually do skills now? It seems the L3 + R3 method no longer works?
 
So this is their pes22? :LOL::LOL::LOL::LOL::LOL: Why the hell did they delay it a year to get an even bigger mess than pes21? So these Japanese ... I had a good opinion of them, but when it comes to playing football, I think they're just idiots.
