eFootball (All Platforms)

I'm still enjoying it.

Watched Spoony's comparison and he sort of says what I was thinking. It is snappier and can feel faster, but it really isn't.

I don't think they have cut animations either (well, I am not seeing more or a regression from previous versions). I am playing on a 65" screen with camera settings custom 3, 0, 10 so the players are like well over two inches tall relative to the screen size on the near touhline so can see animations clear as day and not seeing any (more/worse) cuts or the likes.

My main issue at the moment is it isn't too challenging on Super Star (not a complete canter either, admittedly), but most squads are not best starting 11. Just going to need to wait to see how both Legend plays out and online too.

After waiting an age for the download I thought I was due at least a game before bed.

- Player switching was on point for the first time. If they keep this up it'll be at PS2 standard in no time!

- I didn't have any target selection issues when passing on full manual.

The dribbling has taken a huge backwards step IMO. So many missing, chopped & skipped animations now. The close control & little touches on the ball are almost non existent. Players are ice skating & sliding from one animation to the next to increase responsiveness. It's fucking god awful.

I noticed this quite evidently. And clipping issues aplenty. Take Ben White's enlarged testicle:

This worries me as it's a trait of the other game. And I thought the one thing eFootball had was the acknowledgement that kinda okay-ish stuff comes to those who wait. If your player isn't facing the right way, if he's two yards* away from the ball when you want to pass it - tough. Wait until the laws of science allow you to receive or play the ball. If it loses that over its rivals, than all the 10 minute games and admin apologies in the world won't make any fucking difference.

*Because the EU didn't take imperial measurements away, you Mail/Express-reading freaks.

The amount of simping gamers do for these companies is nauseating. This game is severely lacking in so many areas and ppl's complaint right now is the dribbling? LOL As if this game's biggest issue all this time was the dribbling and not the lack of offline content or it's pay to win system that encourages gambling. After a some games, Dream Team becomes a bore. If you wanna be one of those super teams, just buy some coins and fill up your squad with the likes of Maradona, Nakata, and other legends. Sounds fun? Not to me.

We still don't have any word on the roadmap they've promised. What happened to that? I'll come back to this game when they do their "Season 2" update to see what's what, but I have zero hope that anything of significance will change other than new shiny legends for esports enthusiasts to buy from the shop. Coinami have the capability to do whatever is necessary to drastically improve this game from where it is now, but they choose not too, and some people are cool with that, including some content creators.

Fuck the little intricacies of dribbling from where it was last update to where it is this update. it doesn't matter when the game lacks content.

Well it was kind of the best part of the gameplay so that's probably why certain people (myself included) are a bit pissed off that it's been dumbed down.

I'm sure the "football games must be uber responsive" crew will be most pleased though, there's nothing like sacrificing the games strongest point because FIFAkid07 couldn't defend against it with his incessant pressing & total lack of defensive awareness.

We'll see how it plays out when online returns but I feel the days of skipping past the donkeys who insist on pressing you to death may be over.

It feels like the PES 2018 beta-to-retail all over again.

The dumbing down / removal of dribbling is highly symbolic. It was literally the only thing in the otherwise abysmal 0.9 that was vaguely enjoyable and gave a glimmer of hope that the game might evolve to become worth playing. What they've done with it again demonstrates the section of the audience they're listening to and the now probably irreversible direction of travel for this game. They tried to introduce more realistic, fully animated dribbling but the esports ping-pong crowd didn't like it, so they removed it and moved the game a further step closer to FIFA's ultra-responsive arcade tosh.

Less detailed animations->More responsive->more frantic gameplay->less realism->easier to play/more familiar to the player
Detailed animations->Less responsive->Slow,methodical and tactical gameplay ->more realism-> difficult for players to adapt.

The most probable for companies is to choose the second scenario because players find hard to adapt to the idea that controlling a virtual player with a controller has some restrictions due to inertia, momentum, friction and body structure. The want immediately to have the input they give, shown on their monitors.

Unfortunately yes. The most important thing for companies is to keep the majority of the customers happy and cope with the competition

They listen too much Tweet from not only youths people like i said on the other game thread. But also Esports guys. Those guys are also a pain for us.

A bit too much, but at least not completly (fortunately).
It's the end of "impose your style and people will adapt to it", no, they change one big thing every version. "Welcome to the Future" was totally accurate.
Correcting bugs and improving variety should be the only thing to do / regarding what they want to create, like they probably knowns ball physics is very limited /

It’s difficult to be as clients on a company shoes. Of course a company see a project with the colour of money and we have to respect that . It’s a new project and as a new project need time to be trusted from us. There are two categories of clients , those who see the glass half full and those that see it otherwise.
But there is a BIG but for me . You have a legacy a base if you want , and you want to change the direction of the evolution on that . You have to keep something as a base . And you have to keep according the category of the project ( soccer, arcade , rpg etc etc ) some rules . A have play after the 14 of April the version 1.0.1 and this update aprx only vs AI either on events either on training mode over 50 games . For me is a big disappointment just because on all those 50+ games the opponent AI had the some strategy the same build up the same game development according how the game went ( if I scored or I concede a goal) . No game plan . No work on teams identity. On that FIFA Is better . On tactic and teams reaction and identity the way the each teams plays . On eFootball all the teams seems to me that plays the some way . Dribble on some people like and on some others didn’t. Same way graphics turf motion expression etc. But AI an teams identity we have to say for the majority of the players that there is not present. And one question ….the proof that Coinami doesn’t care about the community opinion and has some “testers” chosen testers I will like to ask have you SAW A SURVEY ?!?!?!

And can you see the claim just above of the master league announcement? Like buying fruits how many leagues has the game ? How much will cost the team or the league multiple that for all teams and you will se if they care about offline players . Continue playing and play …….well done keep playing mates

- Master League will be available as additional paid content during 2023

Called it.
They will use all of us to keep beta testing this trash.
I Will continue my PES 2021 ML. Then will go back to PES 2017 for a change and then back to 2021.
Will avoid even checking any Konami news until next year. What a shame.

Some editing functions will be available in winter 2022”
Some, only SOME part of Edit menu is available! When we get ALL of it Coinami?! :BRICK: What a joke…at least they didn’t charge for it?

As the saying goes in the UK there trying to have a pants down robbing the loyal customers which have stuck with them over the years
It’s not only they’re robbing their loyal customers, they’re betraying them by offering only bits of the game.

So, officially it will 3 years without a new ML
The three year cicle.

So basically they took PES2021, made the Graphics and Gameplay worse, took out almost every mode and now adding stuff back in the slowest way possible. Great!

Im speechless everytime someone says any game between PES2013 and eFootball was any good.
The rest is ridicilously accurate, considering the fact they will add next year the very same game mode we have now in PES21. No more...thinking about im not sure about the no less part tho.

3 years of development for

1 smartphone version September 2021

6 months for a revised version due to insults from users

9 teams playable offline

10 minutes unlocked after 8 months

Graphics from 90's games

2 new added things such as defending the ball with the body and call your players to help to pressing(already present in other games) plus the sensational shot of Mark Lenders and Oliver Hutton from Captain Tsubasa

1 year of silence after the 2020 teaser

But the best has yet to come

Ladies and gentlemen

Do the maths .
60€ for a dvd version now ….29 leagues without the national teams let’s say for 4.99€ the league ( decent price?)
It give us 144€
Now you are speechless ?
Take a look at race room on steam
Free to download you own for free 5 cars and 2 circuits I believe. If you want to download all the circuits and cars you have to pay over 500€
so why to listen us and change the road maps .
We give the weapon to kill us be playing and paying . So no crying any more . To me all the people that gave even one € to them for buying player are guilty the same amount as Coinami.
