eFootball (All Platforms)

I might be more interested in manual shooting filters. This for me is the bigger form of assistance compared to passing.

I shouldn't be surprised. But I am. Fucking flabbergasted at their social output today. Look at what the community is posting about. Look at what they are posting about. So out of touch.

Liking the looks of most of the patch info. Honestly not too bothered about season/event delays. It is a tad shoddy but got a lot on the next couple of months and this not being a huge distraction suits me which it would be if it were crammed with content.

Totally personal convenience take that, I admit.

What patch note ever in any game was unlikable lol:DD
Anyway the less fouls called inside penalty is not looking good though

Why are they looking to decrease the fouls in the box? I'm assuming this will effect the AI as well. If so that's crazy, I don't think I've ever had a penalty against the AI in the last 6 years, probably more than that.

Just like in a real match you can't go all in on a tackle in the box unless you are 100% sure, don't ruin it Konami.

Cheating is the best, what are you talking about.

Let's be honest though you can feel it. Times where you know the opponent could intercept you can see he can't do anything. Times where you know you can play a hugely unrealistic pass you will do it. It's not an even playing field and the balance is completely gone. Whereas on pass assist 3 it's not like that. You can't spam forward, can't ping long everywhere and you know if your opponent is placed well they will intercept it.

Konami don't like fouls and definitely not fouls in the box as I assume it ruins the end to end of feeling. And next to no midfield and no fouls equals a ton of goals. They have proved this in multiple patched since 2020 where fouls and penalties have been increased in one patch to be completely removed in the next

Konami "look" like put hard effort with these long ass changelog, completly different when the game still a paidware, you know the classic changelog "A variety of minor adjustments bla bla..."

But then i realized efootball isn't even finished game, lol :D
They sure seem to like the word 'erroneous'

For a guy still stuck playing PES 2021, I want to know about the Advanced Tactics and Game Plan in eFootball 2022
Do we have Advanced Tactics like 'Possession Football', 'Long Ball Counter', Offensive, Defensive, Anchoring, False Winger etc.
I used to enjoy keeping my 2 AM's in forward positions by using the 'Counter Target' tactic in PES 2021

Do we have all of this? Or they have simplified it for noobs/casual players and we will never see all of the above?
Anyone has any idea?
Thanks ya'll!

Thank god they are removed. Upto PES21 the game was a tactical mess.

Couldn't give a toss about the patch notes, really.

Is the game still a big fat turd? Yes? Then will wait until such days it isn't (which is to say, waiting probably forever).

But it worked well when it worked well in 2021.
It didn't. It worked only for manual passing (but not FUma, since there was no filter for shooting assistance). If you were playing the old PA1, there was practically no assurance you'd match up against other PA1 guys. It did a quick search supposedly for those on your assistance level but quickly increased the radius to those on PA2/3.

The fact eFootball has just leaned into that shit even more fully is why I'm not willing to give it a casual go any more. No point playing FUMA vs the sweaty PA3 (Level 1) bums. Can't be fucked. I've not touched the assistance levels beyond manual in this game either (because it's more fun playing without stabilisers), but the fact people openly embrace it now (Spoony's "controls tips" video endorses Level 2) is the loudest signal for me that the PES/eFlopball experience is and will continue to be just a crock of shit.

Also love that the people who bang on about the SkIlL gAp largely are the same people who whack on high pass assist as soon as they load up the game. Bunch of prannocks.

It's not even a game yet , especially for single players , as there's nothing to achieve , nothing to win that's worthwhile.

I play it to kill what amounts to an hour or so in the evening.

I'd be quite annoyed if I paid for this even if I were only able to commit a bit more time than what I have to it. That's not the case, thankfully, and that combined with the time I do actually have I guess places me in some niche demographic at the moment who sort of enjoy it when they play it but also aren't too stressed about what there is (or isn't) to do.

Unsure if the right thread, but identified a little quirk on laptop play.

The game hates Turbo Boost on some CPU's (certainly mine) so I have used ThrottleStop to switch off the CPU's Turbo Boost. Runs smoother as a result.

Oh, and it also seems to detest me having Dragon Centre running so I turned that off first before identifying that it was the built-in Turbo Boost on the CPU that was causing some minor/very rare but noticeable to me issues. It was doing my head in when the specs in the settings said my CPU was "Good!" but was getting slight micro-stutters regardless of what my settings were for about 0.5 secs on rare occasions. All gone now and can even dial up the resolution scale again.

I see. That is interesting perspective.
But i only play Master League against the AI mate and never play online.
I did appreciate the Advanced Tactics option that gave me options to specify some tactical roles for certain players. For example - Stay in forward positions by using the 'Counter Target' tactic, or keep one Full back from bombing forward with the 'Defensive' option.
The fact that eFootball just got rid all of that gives me no incentive to try the game and offline play even though people here say the AI has improved dramatically compared to 2021.
Anyway thanks for the reply.

Somewhat amusing playing that event in which the result doesn't matter and is just a stress free way to pick up 40,000gp (a good thing, in my opinion; good to have that as a weekly thing) and folk pick PSG or Real Madrid regardless. Even more amusing slaying them with a lesser team. And even more amusing again when for some reason they let it get to them.

@kamyFC The defensive option is there, as is anchoring and a new option that is good to use on a DMF called deep line in which they essentially drop in to make a five at the back. What isn't there is the manual switching of those options, but then I guess for the moment the sub-tactic could be used for that.

Patch downloaded via steam.

All I will say is my 2nd match v. Barcelona as River at River's stadium at night was pretty good. Night lighting at that stadium pretty sweet if set to Summer (I think)

Scored a bullet header from about 12 yards after a free-kick (fouls still there; saw a fair few advantages called as well) swung in from the right and me winning it in the crowd. Have scored headers before but it did take me aback that one in particular. Looked good. Felt good.

My 2nd goal? A penalty following a clumsy challenge from Pique.

Super Star skill level.

There does feel like there is more zip...without the game speed itself being altered. Felt like passes/shots released quicker but there were some wayward efforts by both myself and the AI.

Seeing as maintenance is now on I honestly don't know if the patch is live, so to speak. Not a boots expert so couldn't tell if changes there, or any other obvious graphical updates. I only saw the same stadiums in the exhibition selection too.

Did enjoy that 2nd match. 1st match I was probably looking for stuff too much and it ended up a quite lifeless 0-0 draw as Juve v. Bayern.

Couple of other things:

- Keepers made some excellent point blank saves. Pushed the ball out more often to my eyes

- Dembele did a double-touch nutmeg on me. Looked sweet

- It seemed like you could ride challenges a little better when crowded. Passing in tight situations seemed a bit better too

- There is still a little "stun" after being dispossessed in some instances, but maybe not as egregious as before

- There is now an objectives option in the menu. Doesn't load due to maintenance

- Because it is Super Star in a trial match I couldn't tell if the obnoxious insult to injury your player gets frequently put on his ass after being dispossessed is still apparent in the way it was before

But...

There really is nothing to do except play exhibition matches against exhibition "Super Star" which feels a wee bit more forgiving to me.

I didnt notice any new stadia, balls, boots, or squad updates yet... maybe once maintenance is over they go live?

Extra Time and PK's can be enabled. Unsure if that was the case before or not.

@chelseafan86 - Apparently so with all that stuff I'm gathering.

Although the lighting in some stadiums is decent I do still think they need to patch in what FIFA has regards turf colour options.

AI playing some tidy stuff. Noticed that in the 2nd half matches slow a wee bit and even the AI adjusted. Pass support level 3 feels good. They have made it still that a gentle tap results in a slower pass. Pretty nice being able to adjust speed of play.

It is actually flowing really well mostly for me. The dribbling feels much better.

I switched my camera to Custom 3, 1, 10 and really like the flow of most things when zoomed in and lowered.

Unpopular take but right now this is actually a good free kick-about, even though a demo for a few days as things are currently. They *might* be onto something if they can get the single player content out. I can play and enjoy FIFA and this does feel different in a mostly good, maybe better paced, and weightier way.
