eFootball (All Platforms)

Patiently waiting on the mod that will allow me to do a controlled demolition of the eFootball stadium (empty, I'm not a psycho). Actually, more a mod that allows you simulate the turf disappearing down a sink hole.

Why? Why!? Why is it every year they make the default stadium turf a damn eyesore?

Not to compare too much but if there is one thing FIFA gets right it is appreciate that the turf is arguably the most important visual element in a football game regards eye comfort, so it is treated like an accessibility option and allows you to choose it's hue from 5 options.

It's not asking too much for a FOOTBALL game to have good looking grass from gameplay view. It's astonishing how bad the grass and nighttime lighting looks in a game that is only allowing for night games to be played.

Yeah, there's the other thing. They keep on doing night games only, year after year, in the online events. The night lighting at the Juve stadium I have noticed is passable. In fact I'd say it is the most consistent/easy on the eye visually be it day or night. The others are horribly inconsistent. I despaired when I saw they had lightened the turf colour in the open South American arenas. Was great in older titles when the darker turf shade in these open sun baked arenas was apparent as resulted in a nice sharp, wonderful contrast level image.

Really hoping that once the combination of Edit Mode + Unreal Engine + Amazing Community is allowed to flourish we see some truly wonderful stuff on PC.

I would love it if the single player modes when they land offer the ability for major visual upgrades on PC from the developers themselves down the line. Keys into what I was saying earlier regarding how they should look to make the single player game it's own thing.

Not only is the Juve stadium the easiest on the eye, I have been told it's got the least lag, so I've actually been planning to change my team to Juve so I can have their stadium without manually doing it myself

Should community do something with this game? I really think this game does not deserve any edit and any wasted hour

Just something called my attention, robbye ron "official community manager of efootball" opened a botton in twitter which allow donations directly to him, this is a joke dude donations for what? With all the money konami is paying you, donations from the fans? After all? What has been your work all these years? Is just pathetic they only care about money

Playing online is a pain in the ass, that's what there is three types of people, those who like this pain and become addicted, others who give up and others pay to make the pain easier.
Yes there is a lag and delay, for some reason in 2022 and full 5 bars, but you have to understand that this is a P2W game at first! Yes, if you have some skills and intellect, you can find a way to win, but it is not necessary. The person who paid has an advantage, not only will he have better players, but Konami is manipulating what is happening on the field. That's why sometimes online mode feels so annoying. ! There are players who only kick ball in forward but have all the top players and legends and still manage to score or to win, this is mainly due to the fact that your players do everything possible to hinder you, as poor positioning, make unforeseen steps, stops, staggers, which give the opponent players an advantage, passes suddenly become impossible, and all this is done in order to make the person who paid feel more comfortable and happy with himself and the investment so he can keep paying, and the person who lost to feel bad that he did not have all this advantage and to decide to pay too. Konami do not want to hide it, they let you know that if you pay, you will have an advantage. You know I work for Konami and I understand these things!

I really can't believe how different PS5 and PC versions feel and look, although I know it's exactly the same game.
PS5 in term of graphics are far superior. Ligthing, shadows, self casting shadows, occlusion etc....
I believe PC version is worse and unoptimized on purpose, to promote PS5 superiority and "next-gen" feature.

Thanks Im not the only one who see efootball on ps5 and PC and on PS5 is another world totally different to PC version which is really bad optimized constant FPS drops, not fluidity and really bad graphics

I noticed the following nuance.
Played more than 30 matches online, absolutely all my opponents dropped replays of moments and goals.
I'm afraid to even confess that I prefer the manual gameplay (with no pass correction).
I guess I'm getting old. :(

It looks like PS5 it's just a reference platform for Efootball 22
In favor of this is also evidenced by the fact that the game uses a special downloader of game assets, ZEN.
Maximally optimized for the PS5.
Moreover this solution at the moment makes it completely impossible to import custom assets into the game pool.

Konami for the first time ever since I started on YouTube, contacted me and awarded me 12K coins to help boost my team or do a giveaway. I've chosen the latter because I actually enjoy choosing my own players.
Why even give them away and so tacitly support their gambling mode?

I would tell them where to shove their coins and not be a promotion conduit for them.

Well, I made the mistake of deleting many videos instead of making them private, and the way YouTube works, the algorithm loses all the views in these videos, and translates it into a drop in popularity. As a result, my videos no longer show up as Recommended and that lead to a horrific drop in my views since I did that. So I'll probably use the giveaway as a way to hopefully get more eyes on my eFootball 0.9 vs 1.0 vs modded PES21 realism review, which I've been working on for several months now and I just don't want it to be an effort for nothing.

You can cut that two ways though: surprise that players haven't learned; or surprise that Konami hasn't learned.

I don't think I'll ever not be surprised by Konami's nonsense, certainly not for a company of its size. "Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me. Fool me a bazillion times, shame on you again."

Well at least they are making new mistakes on top of the usual ones! Keep us entertained.

Although I am getting replays in the "mostly 60fps" category (lows of 45fps-50fps depending on the replay angle) with my current settings on PC I do miss the heavily post-processed replays of PES2017. Yeah, there was a lot of motion blur but even at 30fps they flowed superbly and were eye-candy to me.

Oh well, seems like things are going to be pretty quiet until next week on this then. Still jump into the odd match versus AI (mostly decent going against Legend on Pass Support 3) with a squad or two of 2* and 3* gems I am looking to level up. Would kill (actually, maybe not) for them to introduce cloud v. AI divisions or similar to Dream Team. Two birds with one stone that would be. Would maybe entice the crowd (of which I consider myself part) that are looking for a decent offline kick-about, while mitigating downtimes if they could find a solution for users to be able to download a bunch of other uses team data in bulk. I say that, but the more louder of the streaming "influencers" always prattle on about how they never play v. the AI because it isn't a challenge or something. Christ, when I finish up for the day or the weekend maybe the last thing I want is to venture into the wild west of online play or get all "social" with my playing time.

If folk are looking for a low cost gem at DMF who can also play CMF and CB then Mady Camara of Olympiakos your man 👍 Finding Foyth is great too. Registered RB with Defensive Full-Back playing style but can shift into CB with ease too.

Currently levelling up a couple of Brazilian League players that are cheap and meant to be decent: Leo of Sao Paolo and Andre of Fluminese.

Let's be honest it wouldn't be the first time that Konami has released a superior PlayStation version compared to other platforms. Personally, having tested efootball 2022 on all current gen systems I can't say that the PS5 is far superior but my old(ish) eyesight ain't what it used to be.

I re downloaded due to this superior chat on ps5. It must be totally shite on other platforms as it looks and play like dross on my ps5.

Played it on PS4 on a near 10 year-old then top of the line 1080p 3D compatible plasma out of curiosity and it ran and played pretty sweet. This after almost two months playing on PC exclusively.

Caveat this with it being on that TV as it has super fast refresh rate/response times and uber-smooth motion that is borderline CRT levels. The very reason why the family still has it and will keep it until it dies. Even then, I think I'd happily pay to have it fixed. Outperforms every TV I have owned since regards motion and response.

How are they playing 2v2?
Well… with 4 controllers…. duh… !!!

Btw.. just watch the video.. its just bad... really bad ! They try to make EA type videos but way worst and shows how patetic is exebition mode, they just start playing and the game ends with almost non actions... with hard cuts, camera changs they try to make more dinamic and interesting the happening on the field, that why comments are turn off.

Edit: It's funny how they are showcasing the PS5 version compared to the other platforms out there. It does lead credence to the theory that the PS5 is the better version out of all the versions out there. The video is still cringy as fuck. I wonder what they thought of those very annoying gameplay issues that are common in efootball. Of course, we will never know because Coinami controls the message.

And I highly doubt Juve players give a shit about this game anyway.

The thing that irks me about featured players is that elsewhere they actually have shown a level of restraint with player stat values. It seems that they are making it more about form giving boosts (just realised on the matchday tactics screen you can highlight a player and actually see the boosts) and tactical proficiency, but then they are sabotaging that with OP featured players for whom even a D form might not take that big a dent off them. Yes, it reduces stats, but when you have a CB with silly defensive and strength stats in the high 80's or 90's that isn't that much a hit as all it does is bring them down to majority 4* or even 5* values of a C form CB. Up against a C form 'vanilla' even top tier CF they are still a match for them. It's stupid.

But then give these stupidly OP players A form in a match...christ.

It's infuriating because it really is one (maybe more) steps forward as the conservative stat values for standard players combined with form and tactical proficiency would encourage week to week adjustments, but featured players are inevitably going to be superstars after a good week.

I'd almost accept featured players if there was a bit more research put into it, and the focus was stand out performances by what in the game is a 2* or 3* level player and offering up at 3* or 4* version respectively. That would make such featured players unique.

Naturally, they should be available via GP/certain play conditions being completed (comps/points targets) or hell, just stick em' in as these nominated contract players or make them available through those eFootball Points.

It was posted as kid friendly, so the comments are automatically turned off. A bunch of pussies.

Konami still have some kind of partnership with PlayStation which is probably why they are showcasing the PS5 version, other than that their doesn't seem to be any difference in quality between the PS5, Xbox Series or PC version.

Renan Galvani, usually well informed, about the upcoming konami patch announces an extensive gameplay fix, with a huge patch log.
What are your thoughts on this?
