eFootball (All Platforms)

Konami backtracking already. Efootball League will now resume on the 02/06/2022

Was the monumental shit show release of 0.9 & subsequent backlash not enough to warn them about bad press? You'd think someone over in Japan would have the intelligence to realise that what they announced yesterday wouldn't go down very well & yet here we are 24 hours later & they're in damage control mode again.

They will never cease to amaze me with their incompetence.

More or less yes .

But its a mistery calculation unlike the form right? The form effect shows on the gameplay by attributes like +3 Acceleration. Teamstyle just magically increases the player overall and i havent seen it go over three in overall rating.
So 500K GP im not sure to worth upgrading from Enrique to Guardiola because of the 10+ possession style points.

I really think the main problem is there are not subdivisions of PES productions in europe, all important decisions and marketing choices are comming from JAPAN and konami as japanese company is really tight so everything is decided there and their mentality is too different to mentality here in europe and thats one of the reasons his marketing is so bad

If only they had some studios based in Europe

I heard there is some nice office space available in Windsor, they could open a UK one there

Why is everyone so angry on twitter and here? Becase of the 3 weeks of maintenance?
no the reason is for the sloppiness and indifference that treats its customers even those who have paid even 100 euros to get remarkable players and become competitive in this ............Ok lets say it just efootbal

Twitter is an absolute cess pool. I don't like Efootball but people flock to Twitter to moan like fuck , be offended etc etc on chosen subject
I mean, you'll seldom find civilised or mature discussion on Twitter so it's not even worthy of a mention but yeah, The issue here is more the very concerning mis-management of this game and the amateurish correspondence from Konami. The fact is, you sign up to operate in the games industry and you want to make money as a business does - You sign up for feedback, critique and judgement of your consumers if you don't offer reasonable or explicable value for your product. That's just how commerce works.

Yes it is free..And no you don't HAVE to do shit..No one is forcing you..
There are people in Division 1 who have put zero money in the game and they don't have the craziest teams but they're still doing good because they're good at the game..And there are people who put money and have better teams but they won't go to Division 1 because they're not good enough at the game..
Amen.
Yes, to me it's still free. Until they will add real DLCs for others modes, then the "full" game will be paid, and it's not abnormal.
Because it's like a DLC, but same as above, there's 1 and a half mode you can play for free. Even DLC (when they come in 17 month and 9 days) aren't a obligation to buy.

Just that that the F2P system is still like i said before carrot/stick as the more they advance and play the more they became addict, and will cede to buy micro-transactions especially for kids (worst), even adult like TheKnight.

For example i will never ever paid for a pack of player. I swear on everything, as i don't play DreamTeam and wait a bit again for the game to be more polished. It's more than okay to me on PS5 (to me it's much more "logic" in every way that his concurrent), but just OK. Still prefers his predecessor, except dribbling.
Plus, i don't have mode interesting me offline or online (like Divisions) so i don't play it.

And AI got perhaps more variety in attack, but one thing no one seems to mention, AI is overally weaker in both attack/defence, as defending and attacking is kinda easier (Dribbling easily + Defending easily + AI less agressive probably from my own perception) and don't found the challenge from the 21 version in EF2022, that's why i said AI variety doesn't make everything, yes it's important but the difficulty is primary to me, like old games.

Whatever, like @slamsoze said, i blame all those awful companies and the crappy guy who found the F2P + paid for being stronger / i may accept it for modes or extras which shouldn't be in a final release.

Why is everyone so angry on twitter and here? Becase of the 3 weeks of maintenance?
For me personally, the time of being angry is far away… it did not last long either. I’m just in constant head shaking mode, for month now, trying at least to get a laugh with the community. Life is to short and precious to moan about stuff constantly, even if the passion for something seemed “life fulfilling” huge! 🤷‍♂️ Just my 2 cents.

Even though I am actually enjoying the time I have on the game (warts and then some aside) I simply don't play it enough for these developments to anger me.

It is not that I think Konami should get a pass here, but purely on a personal level I have not been invested enough (with my time, as well as money, thankfully) for this to get under the skin and just inspires a great big meh from me, or a chuckle at their incompetence.

They should have shored up the game with more offline/cloud based content for the Dream Team component (I'm not talking about even the 'traditional' offline modes) before entering into any phase of extended maintenance. I'm hoping (probably stupidly) that the blowback means that a lesson will be learned. The game is inevitably going to see these extended maintenance phases required, but they absolutely should have stuff in place to mitigate that for the user.

I was in a bit of disbelief when they announced the 3-week hiatus. Like, how out of touch are these people? You should get fired for merely suggesting that, let alone actually move forward with this. This decision -even though they backtracked- just tells you how out of touch the people responsible for this game are with what it takes to succeed in this business. You do not simple "pull the plug" on your game for a month. They risk losing players to other games and activities and that's the exact opposite of what you should ALWAYS be doing, which is attract new users and expand your base.

June 2nd is also too long a hiatus, but much better. Again, this whole thing is a reminder that they really don't get the basics of success and really made me lose faith in them after seeing some hope given the improvement in 1.0 vs 0.9.

The only explanation for a period this long would be that they are implementing new game modes or that cross play to Mobile needs more work than they were planning to. Everything else for this amount of time wouldn't really make sense. If they come back with no new game modes after this long of a hiatus then efootball would most definitely be dead.

By looking at their numbers, you dont have to be really pro at this it seems.
I dont know why people are shocked about this 3 week, did everyone get memory swiped? Remember the season update re released game for money? Broken alpha efootball game after 2 years? Or the other "mistakes" in the past?

Im more shocked about the fact people still are surprised :LMAO:
Unless you are brand new. Thats understandable, have a good day.

The explanation is always the same. It's not that what they are doing is particularly difficult, it's just that they have 10 developers at max working on the game. There is not a big team organiziing the development and every time they have to do something new they are slow.

Konami really doesn't want to give the football developers more budget and hire more developers.

My vote goes for mobile cross-platform optimization.

P.S.: i mean the reasoning, not what i prefer.

You can cut that two ways though: surprise that players haven't learned; or surprise that Konami hasn't learned.

I don't think I'll ever not be surprised by Konami's nonsense, certainly not for a company of its size. "Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me. Fool me a bazillion times, shame on you again."

To think that Konami announced few days ago that last year they had the most profitable year ever.

They have so much money, more than Capcom, yet look at the difference.

Capcom's core business is video games. Konami's is not. And the few video games they do make are extremely profitable.

I don't think you'll see Master League this side of Xmas. I reckon they will do something for the World Cup, that they think will appease everyone.

Getting this dream team thing live, which I've not played or even have a slight bit of interest doing so, it is clear they want to shift people online. The longer they keep saying 'hey, we are working on a Master League mode', the more people will eventually try that online mode out, become invested in it and Konami can keep reeling out the same rhetoric.

I think FIFA would go down this route if it wasn't for the fact there are a lot of career mode content makers on YouTube. Saying that, their career mode is an utter shambles, so it seems they are trying their best.

I don't like playing online in footy games. Unfortunately, I am nearing 40, grew up when online play wasn't a thing and you created your own little football world with editing and Master League.

Kids these days want instant rewards, to do tricks, flicks and score physic defying goals, Snapchat their mates who they got in a pack and spend daft money for little reward. That won't change and I've got to accept the fact, which is why I've kept PES21 totally up to date, edited on a weekly basis and can see past the obvious flaws which gives me my offline footy fix.

So, I tried to give eFootball 2022 a few games now, but I must say it's still vastly inferior to PES 2021. Online play is a lag-fest, refs are dumber than ever, player switching is a catastrophe, and not being able to send your co-players on a run is really ruining the game.

It's simply no fun to play in its current state. And then v1.0 was much better than 0.9....so maybe around v5.0 it will be playable... :TD:

Here's a controversial take: They should limit the amount of legends users can have on their squad (starting eleven) for certain PVP league events.

Then what is the point to buy coins to get legends ? For me there is no point to buy any coints in first place but ... they want you to spend much as possible. That's why they throw so many legends mixed with other crap to waste your money.

EDIT: Exactly. This game should be called legends efootball or something because that's all Coinami ever focuses on. Legends and more legends so you can feel like you're up there with the top teams when you buy them. And let's be honest, legends play a lot better than the current stars of today. Despite the numerous gameplay flaws, with legends in your squad, those annoying and frustrating gameplay issues are mitigated when you're playing as them.

I consider myself more of a neutral or at least someone with not that many strong feelings when it comes to Konami. Corporations gonna corporation one way or another and given the last couple of years of the world in general I don't have the energy for anger towards any games publisher, for all what they get up to.

To tread cautiously into optimist territory I still think something good could come from either FIFA/EA Sports FC or eFootball but it might actually require embracing splitting the fanbase of each game. If Konami stay true to their word and do eventually release Master League (surely they will; that is more money, after all) then they should just make a point of creating a different playing game for that mode. Not an entirely different set of on the field gameplay mechanics, but something that really is different to the Dream Team mode in feel and demand in general play.

As for the Dream Team/Online element, they might not ever put restrictions as to how many legends you can field but they would be MAD to go down the route they are going and not create a bigger "world" for users of all stripes to feel like they are welcome. That means team strength specific competitions (and I'd go further than the four digit number dictating strength - I'd have it way stricter so as it is three star players only, and the team would still need to fall under a team strength number too, as one example), and specific pass support level competitions.

Giving full manual players a place to occupy is ESSENTIAL and has been for a long time, but I'd go even further and say level 3 users need a space too. The game is free and in my opinion it could work for them to be more accommodating. Pass support is an accessibility option in more ways than one...or it should be. It shouldn't exclusively be a leveller so as less skilled can play higher skilled, more it should treated be as an optional rule set within the game too in which someone who has no interest in playing full support level 1 players at sll and only wishes to play against support level 3 players can access, without it being reduced to some foggy search option pre-game. No, it all requires designated spaces.

If I even were to afford them a pass on the whole coins thing (which I wouldn't) then I'd say to them that they should ultimately earn that right. If there is a whole bunch of willing spenders who are full manual or level support 3 players earn it by giving them a space. I'm against microtransactions personally, for a whole bunch of well documented reasons, but it doesn't look like it is going anywhere so something like this would at least feel less egregious.

I don't mind Legends online, I do mind the lack of a pass assistance filter. Konami for the first time ever since I started on YouTube, contacted me and awarded me 12K coins to help boost my team or do a giveaway. I've chosen the latter because I actually enjoy choosing my own players. I tried paying $1 to do a spin, and even though I got CR7, my most important player on my Dream Team, it didn't feel gratifying at all, it felt like cheating and I didn't feel like I earned anything. I know that teams IRL pay more to get better players, and I'd rather pay to get the player I want, than to do this stupid 'spin and hope' dance. Obviously FIFA has shown that this gambling tactic (sorry, I mean 'surprise' mechanics) is a HUGE money maker (also illegal as it should in the EU) but I'd rather directly purchase players I want than go through with that. I went through the last 'National Team Legends' thing they have. 150 players mostly crappy, with 5-10 players I wouldn't mind on my team, and none that I actually want. Now why the hell would anyone spin that wheel?
