i finised a convertion tool from fm2efb
the only thing a can't calculate is for each player how to calculate the TEAM STYLE
ANY THOUGHTS ?!?!

I still play 2021 every now and then, I've tried Efootball but didn't like it.. floaty players and weird passes/shooting trajectories. I thought this was still in development but it seems it is what we have now for PES.

Yesterday downloaded FIFA 22 (it's free on Ps plus for May). I was thinking the last time I owned or has a fifa game was probably fifa 2001.. I tried a match and training mode and it feels so similar to Efootball that it saddened me that is so clear that Konami finally took that route and do not care about the core player base.

I guess it's all about online fantasy games with Gullit Puyol and birthday edition Cristiano Ronaldo, people playing mechanically and paying some extra money to have the same supermega stars as everyone else.

Football gaming is dead.

Oh and that new game UFL or whatever it's called, it's laughable. Just like fifa and Efootball but worse somehow.

I guess I'll have to stick to pes2021

I feel like you bro, I see a lot of similarities between fifa 22 and efootball, its like they have quit simulation forever to have an online arcade game and thats make me so sad... well thats football gaming nowadays

Im pretty sure Konami nerfed the fouls or some people started cheating somehow lately. I see a LOT of wrestling in the past two days. Just opponents smashing my players in the back no matter if i use the cover, they just bulldozer through my players and thats it. No matter what player it is Beckenbauer or default Likinho. Havent seen this in the 150 hours of playtime.

If the gameplay code had changed, you'd have to download an update. Changing it on the server wouldn't be enough - it's more likely that people are upgrading certain attributes in the training section to get that effect. Or you're just coming up against a lot more megastars now.

8 hours sleep doesnt help either in the past two days.
But i bounced back confidently from Div4 to Div3 with no loss today. Just last night and the day before those 5-10 games were shocking.
And you are right enough time passed that people probably developed their über legends balance, tackling and speed in the past three weeks...even more. Also cant deny the fact that im not really up against anymore people who dont know how to defend. So on top that the OP teams are unfair they now know how to play. :LMAO: Well div3 forever then i guess, thats my place with this squad lets be honest unless the players reach the 80s 90s stats. Maybe making a team with bunker football style of play would have been more wise, there stats dont really matter just height, heading and speed and im forcing here the technical football with 70s stats.

The collisions are fairly awful and make a mockery of the game, it can quickly become a Sunday league scramble where about 8 players are all around the ball kicking and pushing each other which has rolled to a stop in a big patch of mud leaving you hammering L1 or the right stuck to try and get the correct player selected and frantically trying to get the ball clear or passed or shot.

As I mentioned before I believe the L2 match up defending basically means you get a free pass to assault the opposition and it's definitely weighted towards players with better 'condition' in terms of being able to win battles and get away without conceding free kicks.

I played some more games earlier (yes I know I said I was done) and twice I played against people who had a novel way of playing which is simply when in defence, not engage with the player with the ball until they reach the area and then L2 match up to steal the ball and counter attack. They know that they have a better chance of defending in numbers at the back and using the match up function than attempt to defend from the front or Intercept. Weird

Often feels like this. :LMAO:

Just checked some stats and only 1 or 2 of my players have over 80 balance to be fair. Have to keep the ball moving quickly rather and avoid physical game when its possible.

This is possible because, despite what a lot of people say, the game doesn't promote "manual defending". It's as automated as it's ever been: you can leave your team shape intact, at most focusing on bringing back midfielders into position, and then when things get tight on the approach, just hold L2 as you near a player, and the tackle is automatic. Your AI also makes tackles without any command input.

So many times I've seen comments to the effect of "defending takes skill now!" and "finally manual defending!!" – bollocks. Using Square press to close down a player while you cover lanes manually, switching all the time (a la PES 2021), was more manual than this. (Though people on that game, too, would choose to sit back and let the AI defend.)

@Mazen2020 has shared some tips on this topic, there is even a 30 min video (it’s in German but still very useful). I’ve been using his technique for few games now and it has worked just fine for me!
Thanks @Mazen2020 by the way!

Same here. This game doesn't have much going for it in terms of tactics. Teams with mega stars don't have to play tactically. It's all about acquiring Maradona or Romario and dribbling their way past a group of defenders who switch off from time to time because Coinami coulnd't be bothered to improve the AI on the defensive side of the pitch. Where's the fun in that? The fun factor isn't there even if you do buy a bunch of players using Coinami's pay-to-win slot machine. It's boring as fuck. It's no longer game about skills and tactics but how much money you can spend. And get ready for more of those Youtube thumbnails of content creators having their mouths wide open while a football legend is pictured next to them. They're all salivating at the sight Romario's calves as they're opening packs.

So, for me, it's either a fully modded PES 2021 or Football Manager 22.

FM 22 is quite interesting. I know the game looks like an accountant's spreadsheet, but there are so many things you can do in this game that I wished Coinami had picked up on during the development of PES 2020 and 2021. And just like with PES, FM has a dedicated modding community.

FIFA is trash and I'm glad I removed the game from my steam library. I appreciate what modders tried to do with FIFA 22, but there was nothing they could have done that would have fixed the gameplay.

fifa 16 was the last decent fifa game imo. Rest were pretty hit or miss and especially fifa 22, given how the players look completely floaty on that one due to new animation system.

Honestly, the last and most intense game I played was pro evolution soccer 2015. Since then, I bought every edition of the game every year but after a few matches I was left with a bitter taste and hope that maybe the next year will be better. In my opinion, pes15 is the last game in the series that kept the "magic" of pes, and unfortunately it remained untapped. I think it still has potential, in terms of the mechanics of the players on the field, and if I were in place of the Konami developers, I would improve the source code of pes2015 + the current graphical possibilities I would bring out the best possible football simulator.

Do you think about stats in ef2022?
Do they matter?
For example speed, agility, dribbling etc.

ef2022 is probably the first (playable) game which represents inertia/momentum the best possible way.
To my opinion, the pace and the whole feel approaches very realistically the real sport.
After playing almost 80hours of ef2022, trying PES 21 and 19 felt like "games" not sims. Less randomness, less ball freedom, player movement was not that natural, a lot of repetition in scenarios.

Thats why im pleading its case. However i can see the frustration coming from this especially online because the gap between stats are VERY BIG and online almost all people now use all star teams. And lets face it the game does the job for you with those players. Even if you cant do a proper build up and you just abusing runs and through balls, those can be stopped but good lock breaking down a 90+ defence. Unless the user moves out defenders from position. I believe Janguv above explained the automatic/assisted defence perfectly.

This may be an unpopular opinion but since the v1.0 efootball 2022 update and having played a lot of the training mode vs the Ai (because of heavy restrictions to exhibition and i rarely ever play online) I feel this the most creative ai I've seen for several years. The game still has long way to go in terms of improvement but it's far from the dumpster fire that was released last year.

The AI definitely has some nice varied attacks. If only they had more Tour events or Offline Modes.

Regarding Online Modes: so far I enjoy the events where your goal is to just play the match, no matter what the result is. With a few exceptions you mostly have relaxed players there who just enjoy the match. No cheesing and so on. Had some of the most enjoyable Online Football Matches in a while there. To bad they don't do it for all Authentic Team events.

Lets be honest abit ..... beside some problems of this still beta ver , the state of this game atm is pure pay to win with some smart moves from KONAMI ...
i give them that !! maybe the only smart think they made till now.

Ronaldinho and Maradona this week locked behind a paywall will probably make them more money than the past 2 previous pes games. Ironically the better the players are makes a huge difference, which is something weve been asking for where stats count but also improves the pay to win factor greatly.
I see Henry, Kluivert coming very soon, every week will be 2 very op players and 1 like Figo who is desirable but not the staus of the other 2

Real fun to play with less good teams, j-League and The two american Leagues.
Lovley pace and more fun.
My dreamteam filled with speedy superstars (played a lot in v. 091 and got free players} =Not much fun at all.
But the online works better than any previous version of pes.
Sure i meet people that humiliate me.
But at least 7/10 matches are really fun. to play
One more game is a nice feeling that have been missed for me for a long time

This game needs pass assistance filters. I dont mind the Authentic team challenges and offline dream team but i refuse to spend real money on virtual players. Just refuse. Dont even care if im doing finacially well enough to spend $100 on coins, I became a good player at PES & FIFA because I like to explore the game and master everything I can.

I have no desire or interest to play on level 1 like I'm encountering more and more, i'd rather lose playing level 3 but then as I'm explaining your lose motivation play as the glass ceiling of pay to win has been set.

The game is so different on level 1 compared to level 3 standard. The goals I've conceaded vs level 1 players lack any soul or personallity since all the first touches are usually perfect from each pass. I have no L2 modifier to put balls into space when using level 3. If I miss a pass it goes usually straight to my opponent. With manual passing its not so smooth and certain through balls and passes become possible if you have the vision. Level 3 is just a straight disadvantage vs the stabilizers as javg rightfully calls it. It removes all passing skill as even low rated players pass perfectly on level 1/2. Level 3 is good in terms of realistically embracing stats and i have many good games vs players who just play with the default pass setting. Its the wannabe esports crowd who are all win at all costs on level 1, sad really as there is so much more in this game than this win at all costs dredge.

I know Konami lost a shitload of money with the 0.9.1. fiasco however they wont keep people playing this without pass filters, people will just go over to FIFA. Everyone mentioning PES 2021 has valid points regarding realism until we finally get something proper offline for efootball and some online lobbies as i really wouldn't mind joining a manual league just like old times.

Yeah. The best matches online are the J League and American League challenges where as long as they arent on Level 1 passing you come up against a wide variety of amazing, good, average and shit players and anything and everything happens. The game really can shine at times.

Is it worth it reporting lag cheaters? Only encountered 1 blatant one so far. Made me laugh, so sad and afraid to lose on a videogame online they have to cheat. Pathetic. Take the loss like a man like i do. No one likes getting hammered 6-1 but it happens. Deal with it.
