eFootball (All Platforms)

Finally gotten around to playing it. Full manual, Dream Team offline, whatever the difficulty above the middle one is.

Not bad. I like the overall shape of it, although it still feels like pitch is the size of Russia. It's nice that the players feel grounded which, for reasons, is a cause for praise these days. The motion of the ball, however, seems to be completely unaffected by any forces acting upon it. It pings about everywhere.

I'm sorry this has been discussed probably a hundred times by now, but please explain it to me like I'm 5:

What is available to play offline in Efootball 2022?
I have absolutely no desire to play online.

Is there a training mode or you can play 5min matches against AI?
You can only choose the 9 demo-like experience teams for offline?

Thank you

5min matches against the ai unless you're on PC. But you can play for as long as you want in training mode apparently. I'm on PC and so haven't tried the latter

The dribbling in this is making going back to 2021 really difficult. Which sucks because there's fuck all to do in this game right now.
Do you mean it in a way that it is so much better than 21?

I am tempted to download it but since there is nothing to do offline I might resist the urge to play this demo

Why oh why can't you play day matches online? I hate night games and always have. Sound weird but I always find myself being more creative in daytime matches lol.

It's a lot better imo. The dribbling and small touches you can make really change the way you can create space and play 1-2's. 2021 feels really stiff in comparison. That said, I'd stick with 2021 if you're not a big fan of playing online.

I'm with you on this.I much prefer playing in the daytime. The game looks graphically worse at night, would be nice if we could choose stadiums as well. Hopefully this will all change in future updates.

I have no idea how some players find dribbling, passing, shooting and ball physics better in 2021 vs this eFootball. 2021 (and 2020) which we have been playing for 3 years now 🤣 feels so stiff and on rails compared to this version. Even before 2022 v1.0 I got so sick of 2021 that I uninstalled a LONG time ago and had to buy Fifa. I agree this 2022 still needs a lot of work but gameplay wise it definitely has potential (and a good one) if they keep working on it.

BTW what's your preferred cam settings guys?

Definitely this one, at this state, is better than Pes 2021, even version 9,01 was, IMO. They better do some patches and updates soon though :). I play custom stadium Camera.

This is an example of what I mean. The small touches by De Jong and Busquets create space and just look really fluid.

This game is a lot of fun. It should have at least came with the ML from last year copy and pasted

After splurging on Firmino and Jota with my Konami apology monnies, I am now gradually filling up my Liverpool team with players. And what's crazier, I am enjoying playing the game. The problems I had with the Dream Team gameplay seem to be mostly gone. passing on manual is still often a bit off, the game likes to think I am passing to some other player, even when I make what look to me to be perfectly weighted passes. I hate the white line that shows up with R3 player switching, I haven't found out how to turn it off. And a minor one but why do I have to change the ball before each match if I don't want the eFootball one?
Amazingly, I now have that "one more game" feeling when playing this. Even with the AI often breaking my heart in the final moments of a game (I have won 2 matches of maybe 12-14?) I haven't felt cheated yet so it just makes me want to get back in there. So I even though I will barely venture online and never buy points or any crap like that, it looks like Konami have actually somewhat won me over with their bullshit new game...

If you are not joking, I might just download this and go back on my words where I said I won't play this unless there's something offline, problem is - I'm on console, do you think I should try it? What do you guys say?

Custom Camera

Zoom 0

Height 8

Angle 7

Really gives a nice perspective of the pitch. Spraying cross field passes about feels fantastic. I don't know why but it all seems more fluid on these camera settings for me. Dribbling especially.

Couldn't resist and downloaded the game.

Feels so different to pes21 that I think I would not invest a lot of time adapting to new mechanics until the offline modes are released, since it will spoil 21 for me.. and that's all I got for my footie fix at the moment

Hopefully sometime this year

For the "next-gen" version, I say what I already said: potential is there but it's covered in a pile of crap right now.
It looks like they've decrapified the game to the extent it's not bad anymore, didn't they?
Glad to see someone's still doing their QA duties after all.

I'm not saying this is the best football game ever (yet), as it's probably not, but it's definitely more enjoyable than 0.9.x to me (on PC... I must try the Xbox One version again sooner or later).

Still waiting for the Master League DLC, though, to really judge it.
In the meantime though I'm willing to play a couple of matches more with this game to see if gameplay wise the ML content be worth buying when (well... if) it gets released... But hey, it's better than it used to be. By some margin.

By the way, is there a way to change team once you started the "Dream Team" mode, or you're tied for all the etermity to the one you chose?

Not sure what to tell you. It's like watching a dumb action movie that you know is bad but at the same time you can enjoy it. I struggle to recommend it but then again it is free. I am playing on PS5.

You mean the te you used a a base for your Dream Team?
You can change that at any point

I chose a Las Vegas team, cool uniforms imo.

US "second division" is licensed? Konami is what Konami does, I guess
