eFootball (All Platforms)

Not sure how you can have next gen AI and next gen animations and play against a mobile user who obviously cant have that. The game will have to meet the minimum spec

I assume you missed the hot debates in the pre-pre-pre-release!!?XD of alpha-beta-demo-server stress test...

It would be very entertaining to reply you according to KONAMI'S official promotion statement, and it would spice a little bit the discussion ,in those darkest days we live now, about the "next gen" "scalable" technology, with "lowest common denominator"....

But i think i will keep it sort this time, not in a mood for jokes, and I think I've made jokes of KONAMI so many times last summer, that i would be repeatetive and quaint*..

So the straight answer is: No you can't have next gent under those circumstances, at least by the standards you and me understand as nextgen.

But if anyone of the optimistic guys is still here among us ,i would like to invite him, to explain us again , how this amazing prototype KONAMI technology will work, keeping the game nextgen in most aspects, while scaling to the lowest denominator..Ok I stop here, cause I become the repeatetive again... :(

I need some good humour these days ;)

Well there was a mini confusion, during an update of their webpage.

The announcement about next gen, included all platforms PS4/5,XboxONE/X, PC, but not mobile iOS/android.

But some hours or days latter, they "fixed" the announcement, coming back with this old one, all platforms: consoles/pc/mobile.

Announcing another season update based on PES20 after September IMO would have been the ideal solution to make people wait for eFootball

Agreed. I suggested something similar here:

Konami should have just released a PES2022 SEASON UPDATE for the current gen. Then include some of the features (i.e. sharp kick, revamped controls, dribbling, new menu/font design etc) from the next gen into the current gen game, to prepare players for the next gen game. With regards to the gameplay, they don't have to do much besides make a few tweaks to make it different from the previous game e.g. make the pace of the game slightly faster, make it more responsive, make the ball feel lighter, make dribbling looser and so on. Pretty anything much anything that makes it feel like a new game.

I think this would take no more than 4 months to do? The large majority of that would be administration stuff like sorting out licenses and the database.

Again, proof that Konami has a gang of incompetents there, in addition to forgetting to renew the Silent Hill domain and somebody stole it, is this search engine, which is terribly coded. Do i miss something but you literally have to write the name letters to a symbol to see a result, which is absurd for me. You should be able, as in all basic search engines, to write part of the name and make a list of all the names that contain that part.

Isn't this 3rd party app, coded by random enthusiast? Doesn't strike me as an official Konami product.

Thanks for the link, interesting but really could not read anymore beyond 279 matches and 2053 goals.

Says it all in a nutshell,

No thanks, never.
Someone on this forum said, years ago (and I've heard players and managers say the first bit a few times, most recently Roy Keane)...

Defending is easy, scoring is hard. Yet in football games, it's the exact opposite. More so now than ever.

Tracking a man and winning the ball back if they're not particularly "tricky" should be easy - but instead you have to "wake up" your defender who's paying no attention to anything, penetrate invisible walls surrounding the attacker, and end up running in a whole different direction to them like you've never been in control of a human body before.

Whereas scoring... Press the shoot button. You'll always have players making incisive, unchallenged runs. So yeah, just pass to them and press shoot.

The curse of modern gaming.

Yes this is a website created by fan, not official website of Konami. I don’t expect Konami would do anything like this as they don’t even do marketing or even updating news of efootball 2022.

"The official Napoli account publishes a new visual with a model of Oshimen on #efootball, probably coming from a more recent build. The player's physique seems slightly different to us from the current version, what do you think? 🤔 "

Look much better

I swear, he plays with that face mask for so long now that should be added as standard equipment, like Peter Cech's helmet

They showed us (not official) a new model and we are hyped as fuck, sometimes I really think we deserve what we have for today in the game (trash)

it is hard actually for a full body sim. in most games you only see cloth sim in the capes and stuff that are obvious. eFootball's cloth is pretty good for my standard
Are you referring to cloth physics? If so, that's not what I'm talking about here. I'm talking about how the kits look really stiff even in a still image, like they're made of some hard plastic.

I could be mistaken but could they have not simply just used PES 2021's model with their new strip?

I'm not sure if Osimhen has a face on PES 2021 by default?
