eFootball (All Platforms)

They got nothing to win. And i know 2 of them (even one who didn't given his opinion)
And they played all the Beta who was bad but superior. And it was superior to the beta who is superior to the "demo".
Just don't think there's complotism everywhere, there's nothing to win.

One of them even keeped some reserves in his impressions as it's not the first time it happen that the release was a far older build than what they played etc.
The only thing is : i don't really play demo, so i can't tell which demo was even worst than the final game. Only PES 2014 one i played, and it was much more buggy

I don't care like i said and shouldn't answer, but please comments like this affirming stuffs like if it's the thruth (like the 2 years production) when the story is different... Just do some gif or whatever to deploy your rage but don't say stuffs you have no ideas (i don't talk to you especially, you're just one example and it's by far not the worst i've readed here)
If they found the game better, it's perhaps because they're Konami ball suckers for some, or because it was a bit better but they're exaggerating like always, because they're some "yes konami-man".
I'm equally frustrated at people proclaiming that there is supposedly this much better version of the game that is being held back, just because of the opinions of a few people who attended this event (not all of which are unanimous, such as the journalist who got bullied on Twitter for saying he didn't like the game).

We know this release is from July, there is not a cat in hell's chance that development has progressed enough in 2 months to make this game a viable product. There is too much to fix, it could take years. The sensible conclusion to take from the evidence we have (i.e. the current release) is that whatever build they played is not much better than what we have.

Unless Konami somehow released completely the wrong build, which I've seen some people online suggest. But this is grasping at straws.

The question is, can you really build a great football simulation on a mobile hardware? Because that's the same thing we are getting on consoles and PC.
You can scale the graphics but can you do the same with the core of the game?
This is why I have zero hopes.

I don't try neither that the game will be completely different. The only thing i know and related is that from one of them, when i was part of Pesuniverse one of those guy who tried the game in Windsor (Barry) told me, in End june, that they will start to work fully on the next version from around half July. If you didn't readed it before.

@thelinnen i left so don't worry, and not YTuber at all, nothing to win or loose/was just the leader editor from 2 years. And i told a thousand time to the main owner of the website to stop sucking Konami balls. And i won't do it, if i wanted to say "fuck PES, fuck Konami" they got nothing to say to me.
And they needed my exports more than anything to run their website, but i was too much on details so they sometimes released some very awful version.
Since the V7 it's a pile of amateurish shit in terms of database. Well it's a kitmaker team, not a creators teams so... There's perhaps one or two able to create but one don't care at all and the other is doing "fast food editing" like i call it, so...

According to the genius game developer earlier in the thread mobile crossplay has no impact whatsoever on development of the game. The fact it looks like a mobile game, plays like a mobile game, has lower CPU requirements than PES 2021, and the AI is dumber in a myriad of ways is just a total coincidence.

What versions of PES are you playing? Modded PES 6 or 21? Some of us are just console gamers who don’t play on high end PCs. I’ve got a basic desktop that runs pes 6 but I’ve moved on as a gamer & play console games. Plus I don’t have too much time for gaming. I’m sticking with efootball and for all the faults of this game, I’m trying to get used to the new defending etc. I play pes 21 online and all the games are the same; it’s stale. Konami deserve the criticism for releasing this & deceiving fans; they’ve fucked up. Just move on or play modded versions of pes if that’s what you enjoy. Pes 6 remaster ain’t happening. Peace out.

You can upgrade, dowgrade. It's not impossible, but i got no idea how they builded it.

PES 5, 6 on PC and PES 2021 on PS4 pro (now PS5).
I would like to work on original season of PES 5, but it's a bit hard and my PC is giving me sign of bad health... So i fear a bit to correct the OF from a patch called "PES 6 original season" as i got real stats from the original season on... The Nintendo 3DS version lol. The only one with updated roster on PES 6.

Edit: sorry for double posting, i could copy paste his reply, but i didn't. Well the state of this thread is a bit apocalyptic so 😅.....😢 😭

Modded versions will give a perfect experience because the core gameplay is good. I’ve played this series since ISS on the SNES & I’m sorry pes 2021 on PS4 is a good experience but it’s not unbelievably good.

Well, with the recoil i don't have, but PES 6 is not my favorite, a bit arcady and pretty repetitive. But i don't care, because i got a big nostalgia about those game. I have fun and even play on 4/3 with too bar on the side to feel the same experience as before, well, in 4/3 HD :JAY:
It's also a matter of "complete", tons of features in more etc.
Well tastes... Some prefers PES 6, don't care about PES 5. My favourite of all time is WE9, WE8LE and WE7I all japanese version (didn't liked that much PES 3 > Loved WE7I. Same with PES 4 > WE8LE but for that one, the difference is abyssimal, a different game practically in terms of balance)

If only we could get rid of regens on ML, it should be perfect. PES 5 i think i played it too much, and ML is less interesting. Only big issue : i got to play in on my working room. And i'm sick of that room, even if i got another bigger TV to plug my PC on to play.

Konami just won't ever let go off the FOX ENGINE, will they?. They're holding on to it like it's a bottle of cold Gatorade in the middle of the desert.

It's no wonder why the game still feels so familiar. Even with all these bugs and crazy stuff happening.
Once they fix all that, we will be left with something so similar to PES 2020/2021, it'll be even more disappointing than it is now.
I'm not so sure. If they could make an exact replica of PES 2021 but next gen and updated rosters, etc. I'd be delighted given the shit they've given us.

I feel that they're saving money wherever they can. They already had an Unreal game, so they used that as a base. They already had Fox Engine animations, so they used that. Just corner cutting everywhere, with zero passion, while expecting maximum reward. The producer apparently thought that by talking about Photorealism and Crowd animations in his interview, that's what we'll decide to see when we get the game. It doesn't happen this way.

what is this obsession with Adam Bhatti and why is his name constantly brought up? Isnt he paid to promote the game? Wtf do you expect from him other than hype and praise. Do you actually think these things? Oh you think should be backing us up and telling konami this is shit. Because he was one of us. Ten years ago. And then going on Twitter and telling everyone he’s
as shocked as all of us.

“Wow Guys. can’t believe what I’ve witnessed with all of you this morning. 🤭Totally unexpected and far from adequate gameplay. Had no idea but I’m already putting together a portfolio of all your complaints and I’m heading to Windsor ASAP. Had a string of emails this morning with lead devs and they’re busting their arses to have a patch ready as soon as they can. Got an Uber waiting so I can get down there and sort this mess out. Stay tuned guys. We’ll get the king back together.😍👌 👑 “

Do me a favour.

If there is no criticism there is no high standard. He can promote his product publicly and still provide negative feedback internally, that's how you improve...

He's been killed and replaced by a bot. They scanned his face before. Robotics is very advanced in Japan you know.
But it's a prototype, his AI equal to a 90 QI person.

No joke, i got no hate at all for that person. I don't think he's bad. He isn't responsible of anything.

That's why it needs a gameplay patch @yair25 @elaf @kingsley813
No, it's because of the 8 directions system . No one can do a thing about it. It's more a "chess game" approach, we already talked about it. But less than PES1 for example.

Edit: but sorry i was lost, i was comparing with the actual games. Just played too much 8 directions games.

Well, if you want my advice, the best to do is an ML patch with PES 6 ML feature on it, and no regens.
PES 5 still got it but well, i don't want it to be touched then... I prefers the vanilla gameplay than any release i saw from PES 6. I like authenticity from that time, the game was builded with a way to play at that time.

Stop this pls.
They were paid and now criticize the game !!
Because their channels doesn’t worth a dime with the game in the state it is at the moment, since no one will care for any content efootball related, and defending a game in this state they will only be called liars by the few that still follow them.
This always happened with everyone attending this events, and the ones who did not follow the optimistic movement are not envited anymore. Not wanting to say something wrong but, if I remember well, evoweb used to go to these events previously, but they just stopped being invited or quited just so they can say what they really think about the game, no strings attached.

Adam Batthi is the perfect example of that, he criticized the games, until he managed to get inside, and after that no critics were allowed. If these people want to keep going to these events they must probably follow a optimism script. Spoony example, even managed to say that the supporters were even better than FIFA, and that the game was amazing. Than he just bashed the game because what is the point of going against the flow. What do you think it would happen if someone kept defending this game after everyone played it and check the really state of it? So it’s easier to now bash the game and after some months if this improves to a playable standard, say that that is the build they played and start with the ass licking to Konami again.

This is just my opinion but i sincerely think that it’s this kind of people that helped to get PES to the state it reached (along with money based decision from managers that don’t care about product quality, or devs creativity/vision, but only numbers), the yes men’s that instead of pointing the flaws they see when playing early builds, just give a tap in the back saying it’s wonderful and do not provide correct feedback even if that means not being invited anymore. I bet that nextgenbase guy will never go to another event again.
Why do all of this guys call evoweb the pessimistic old farts forum’s? This community at least call the problems by the names and point all of the issues, and history most of the time has proven this community Right (even if that means bad news for the game). Inrather be pessimistic and be proven wrong than be optimistic and a yes man to everything Konami does, to then reach to eshameball state.
Look at the state of FIFA since they launched FUT as their main mode and base their game on the opinion of “gamechangers”, content creators, and pro players…

Just looking at performance issues alone from consoles & PC, how badly could this thing run on mobile?
If their focused mobile market has a similar reaction then the fallout could be epic. It'll dwarf Cyberpunk, Fallout 76/Diablo, No Man Sky combined.
Could be witnessing something unprecedented come November.

I'm really tired of all those 'you're not playing it right', or "You don't like change" opinions. The only reason I was excited for eFootball were all the changes and the need to relearn the game.

I'm a FUMA player, I play full manual on PES and I play full manual on eFootball. Passing is just extremely flat and inconsistent. Player inertia doesn't transfer to the kicks. Watch how full powered passes would get interrupted at close range, and immediately get absorbed into the player's run, you know, like a simple minded mobile game, and compare that to how the ball behaves when intercepted at full power in a real console game at the end of the clip:

:

An example of inconsistency. Watch how Shaw delivers this full powered lofted pass on his dominant foot (and the receiving player isn't even aware of it):

Speaking of awareness, I will never complain about player switching in PES 2021 because eFootball takes that to a completely new level of bad, featuring the world's most ignored ball in the history of football:

Shooting an incoming ball is no different than shooting on the ball. It's just a waste of time trying to explain that all the nuance of PES/WE is completely absent in eFootball the second they decided to use the Unreal mobile game as a base.

Physical Defending sounded great on paper, until you discover holding L2+Pass is even more effective than the old method and way more forgiving. You can do it from behind, shove the player on the ball and most times it goes unpunished.

They needed to put in the legwork required to rewrite the console game to run in Unreal, then introduce their new mechanics to it (which btw I agree with wholeheartedly), but they decided to take a shortcut and just used the mobile version, with the added bonus of knowing it already works on mobile.

With a base game this dreadful, and knowing that it's not building upon the console game we all loved and played for decades, this game is simple unsalvageable. The core is rotten and if they want to stay in business next year, they should plan on rewriting the console game for on Unreal, instead if using the mobile version as their base. Since they already paid for a bunch of rights and licenses for this year's game, a small team should be dedicated to ironing out the bugs just so the game doesn't get removed from stores, but not as a basis for next year's game.
This is straight up embarrassing.

They should really ditch the game and maybe even work on PES 21, tweak the gameplay and release it as PES 22 instead.

Nail on the head sir. For the record, I have no resentment to these influencers. I get it, if you dissent then you're on the blacklist. Activision are notorious for this. For instance some Call of Duty Youtuber careers have been ruined by speaking their mind and no longer getting invited to preview events.

The bottom line of what I was trying to say: this is it. This is the game. It will improve with patches, but things such as the broken physics for instance require a complete overhaul. Don't waste your time in hope that there is some magic version of the game that Konami are holding back.

With respect, if this game is innovative and fresh then the franchise is doomed. The community isn’t expecting perfection they want a stable, fun game that doesn’t feel like an early alpha build.
We are doomed if we don't welcome fresh ideas, and stick to what is familiar to us.
Evolution comes with trial and error, not with repeating obsolete "successful recipes".
The majority of users are crying of a "PES 6 remaster" just because they have linked it with their childhood and everything is filtered with nostalgia.

Personnally i don't want a PES 6 remaster, but for my own self, i got enough about remaster except for Demon's Souls or game unplayable from PS3 who where good enough for PS4.

Here you got a 8 direction game to remaster... Please, we're not in 2009 anymore.
It's first impossible, with licences from that time. And also the way the is working in Konami is completely different. Under pressure etc.
Switch that very bad idea, the result will look very, very bad. Buy or download PES 6, install the patch you want and play it on PC. There's more than 150 patchs on Sany's thread, independant and separate patched versions.

Also, i want good memories of that game. Even if my version was the 360 version, very weird game. I still can say if it's a copy paste of the normal version, with different players model more actual and some transition animations in more in preparation of PES 2008... But it "felt" different. Just check vids of the game and you'll get an idea of a PS360 "remaster"

Yeah, but what actually is fresh and innovative about this game? Just give us an example then.

It’s “trial and error” that’s made this franchise get progressively worse over the last few years and it’s now reached a point where it’s become a joke. The eFootball shambles is down to lazy development pure and simple.
