In Konami's defence (can't believe I'm saying that), it's not up to them if they can publish that build today.

Not only do they have to fully QA test it themselves to ensure it's in a fit state to release (not that it stopped them releasing the turd we got today), but it also has to go through certification with Sony and Microsoft to make sure it doesn't brick any consoles. Which takes ages.

That doesn't stop them from releasing it on PC etc. but they wouldn't want to release different versions all over the place.

fair enough, but i still stand by my initial point that there is no way this build was actually intended to be released today, its simply too bad. Its Konami mind you, so im not totally sure lol

I think its a quick slap dash job at releasing "something" just to go alongside FIFA 22's release. Version 0.9.0 says "alpha" to me

No way!! U serious?? eFootball is so limited and dumbed down in all aspects of gameplay including dribbling and physicality. Well the version i played was.

Here's an example. I intentionally used Pogba's momentum against him here with that 1st touch and got a foul for it. Don't remember seeing anything like this in over a 1000hrs of 2021. Pretty sure the ai was charging in using this new L2 mechanic.

Pogba does seems to react to an imaginary push from Ben White before he starts flailing his arms about however haha.


Sorry for the video quality but its not like the game looks a lot better in real life anyway lol

There are loads of niggling little problems. The black loading screens are awful, not just for being, well, featureless voids, but for being so long. PES2021 Virtua Red has spoiled me for minuscule loading times. A LOT of optimisation work needed on this.

Is there a demo expander anywhere that you know of? Can't see a thread for the PC version, or modding and I don't want to start one. Liking eFootball, or even not hating it, is seen insanity. But trust the plan! :)

one thing I love about today: we're all here having a rolling barney about the new game. A big storming row is an annual tradition really and never may it die.
 
Just played a beautiful pass over the top from Odergard to Saka out wide and then squared it in to Martinelli who just gets thrown to the floor by Varane who concedes the penalty. Wish I'd caught that on video but the game ended right after I missed the pen lol.

No way that happens in 2021.
 
I played the game and agree with everyone here, its an absolute abomination but one thing to note and this IS VERY IMPORTANT GUYS, the best way to hurt Konami (and to have any hope of PES ever returning) is not to slate them with meme's on forums they don't even pay attention too.

The WAY TO HURT THEM IS BY VOTING WITH OUR WALLETS. Don't spend a penny on this trash, they have lied to us for two years straight, there is no photo realistic next gen version that's been in the works all this time, there is only a sloppy half put together mobile ported loot box experience and our loyalty over the years has been repaid with lies and Adami Bhatti's social media accounts are nothing but propaganda, he's been bought and paid for.

Shame on everyone at Konami involved in this deception and SHAME ON YOU if you give them a cent.
 
Has anyone messed with the right stick while the CPU has the ball? Press it in any direction and it produces a white cone, kind of like a line of sight type thing out of the CPU player.

What's that about?

EDIT: It actually comes out of the ball, not the player. Interesting....

Further Edit: try it at a goal kick for you, it then comes out of your players depending on which direction you press.

Isn't this the same kind of thing from the mobile game for passing and power?!? The further you press and hold the bigger the cone gets. Oh dear, mobile game confirmed?

100% agree, that should be the strategy from this community, don't play or even download, uninstall. Personally, at the moment I'm just sticking with moded PES 2021 on PC.
 
Dear Mr @Microsoft please, pretty please, if you're reading this, we're begging you: You must acquire KONAMI.
Then, fire all the employees. Every last one of them. And finally, rebuild PES or eFOOTBALL or whatever you want to call it.
