eFootball (All Platforms)

I'm pretty sure no one is being forced to spend $30 on it. I find it odd that someone would want to, but I guess there are people prepared to do it. I've sunk over 750 hours into Apex Legends. Plenty of things you can spend money on in that game, some for more than $30. How much have I spent on it? Absolutely nothing!

I won't. Because i won't buy Myclub. But they try to sell thing, it's F2P game. Simple.
Like if you discovered for the first time the DLC and all costume or whatever weapon, you got to paid to get them on a F2P game, or you will spend 20-30 hours to get those stuffs.
Come on. (i don't talk to you personally mate lol, not at all)

Truly incredible, not a shred of proper gameplay. But you can already pre-order a £30 player pack for your 'free to play' game.

In top of that it's the first time in history when a company like this pushes a "premium player pack" preorder before the free "demo/game/app" comes out or whatever it's called... But we need to see the positive part right? Because it's free, everybody can get for just 40€ Kubo, Neymar, etc... And that's just a player pack, so not to worry... because there are thousands of premium packs *available in future updates, waiting just for you to complete your entire collection...

You don’t need to buy Myclub, it’s for free. But you will buy the other offline modes if you want to play them, as we already do for about 26 years. The online has always been free. They even offered myclub 3 months after the game is out.

I guess the problem here is, like someone already said, you don’t even know how the mode will work or be called, and they are already selling coins and players. It’s the same if I now go to eBay wrap a box with blue and yellow player, write coins and chance deals on it and sell it for 40€, wouldn’t you want to know what can you do with the content of the box?

Maybe people will start to understand when they charge you 40€ for ML offline l, without explain you what is the content of Master league, and just say here, pre-order ML offline and get 200 million € for you to start and have a real chance to buy the best players and win the Master league in your favorite league. Leagues, clubs, and structure of league and transfers and regens TBD. But buy it now.

I think main problem here despite of being a "free game" "free to play" is that before game release you started to promote your new shit called "myclub" or whatever how is called now to buy 8 super players? and 2,800 coins to spend? you are selling just a mode "DLC" for a price of a triple AAA game so all others modes like ML now called "Academy" or even "be a lengend" how much will they cost? another 30 or 40 €? at the end a game which is supposed to be "free to play" is even more expensive that a full game and for now is just a demo with a few teams avaliable which I understand konami took off his mask long time ago and its really clear they do not care a shit about customer and fan base but yes for their money and its very sad this road taken for the only realistic football game in football games industry

FFS will you buy it or not? They try to make money.
Positive part?
You can get them by playing more matches and win them. Like Myclub, they're not exclusive in the pack.

But i agree about @h3li0 said : they don't even talk about the "mode" that's pretty confusing. But you can guess it will a a Myclub similar as it's descripted with managers and players to buy.

F2P isn't a free game. It's just... Free to play, you don't have to buy it to PLAY.

I'm happy to pay for the offline modes like ML and Cups/Leagues. Providing the cost overall is not more than what id have spent on a yearly release, I have no issue with that. I wouldn't spend anything on MyClub. I played a bit of MyClub on PES21 Lite and got a team full of black ball star players within about 10 hours of play time. I don't really enjoy the online experience though, there's too much input lag and going against people on assisted passing (about 95% of people) is just a joyless affair. Strangely though, the most enjoyable experience online with PES is with the eFootball beta. Players with assisted passing were struggling and they could just spam the X and square buttons for all the assisted pressure and team mate pressure. The games were a lot more random and unpredictable, which overall made it more fun. Yeah, the gameplay was clunky and manual passing not as good as PES 21, but still more fun online wise than previous games.

you always seem to miss the point entirely.

nobody has to spend £30 if they don't want to, but the fact that Konami have offered this option whilst not telling us:

- what the game mode where you can use them is is called
- how that game mode works
- when that game mode will be available
- if those players will be yours beyond the eFootball2022 'season'
- if those players will be yours beyond an arbitrary 'contract' period

add on top of that
- we haven't seen any official gameplay
- basic game functions to be released in future updates

the fact that konami are brazen enough to do this and still try and entice people to pay nearly what you could get a full priced copy of their old PES annual release game for what you have admitted is basically a demo + 8 chances of signing some players shows exactly what they are intending with this game and the future of it.

People have a right to be furious with Konami and their direction, as all of this is syptomatic of the same thing, the lack of information, the mobile crossplay F2P focus, the horrific branding, the death of offline game modes. it's all to deliver the bare mininum and take as much money from people as possible. it's just shameful really.

I dont think it even has a name yet.
Most names were "TBD" in the trailers.
They are not showing anything, apart from money milking tweets and ridiculous interviews with a bloke who doesnt see the difference between football and Street Fighter.
This is what really pisses me off.
There are people who still believe and try to find excuses for them. Its not a bad thing and it comes from the love towards the series.
But looking at the whole thing from a distance, the way Konami treated their fanbase last couple of years - they are literally just spitting in the faces of all people, including the ones that still care.
Its sad and it makes me angry. Not for myself, I couldnt care less now. But for the people who still do.
Why being pissed fella? For the first time they are more honest than ever. I feel a relief and a salvation to be honest as things come.

Between New Football Beta and 21 July I was also pissed and disappointed. But after the 21st of July announcement, they were pretty clear, straight and honest.

They put a finger in people's face, pee on fan base, basically there is no fan base anymore, there is only the standard pack customers and the premium pack customers. Screw the loyal, screw the fan bases, screw the past.

I mean the only thing left for them to do, which they cannot technically do of course, is come with a post like "Fak you all, we don't like you, we don't want you, only bigsharks wanted now".

Jokes aside (not so "jokes" tbh again) I prefer this honest straight piss situation, than the previous years bullscrapt, about reworked from scratch modes and cliches ala "we keep listening to our loyal fans feedback".

I think now it is better, just "FAK Off old people/crowd, let us move on".

Has anyone seen TTB latest video? I don’t subscribe to him but it appeared in my suggestions last night. “why fifa will never be a sim” or something similar. Whilst maybe true - he behaves as if PES is some deep, tactical Football Manager style game, which is laughable.

Got to think about those PES Universe bucks and keep the hype train rolling…

I completely understand the points you're making, I just happen to disagree with a lot of them.

I agree the communication has been poor and all over the place. I want to have some concrete info of what offline will look like for example and when ML will likely be added.

Despite the lack of information, we are going to all get to play the game for ourselves, free of charge, in 2 weeks time. Yeah, it would be nice to see some official gameplay earlier, but no one is obligated to release that. I'm patient enough to wait a couple of weeks. We're also still getting a first look at this game a fair bit earlier into the season than we had PES 2015 (first game of PS4 generation). That came out on 11th November 2014.

Regarding that screen shot of costs for getting guaranteed decent players for your online team. Is it really a big deal that's been released? People who play online may want to get an idea of how much something like that costs. I have no interest in that info personally, but someone else might do. There's plenty of criticism for when Konami don't release any info, but there's also equal amounts for when they do. Personally, there's not been a great deal of info that has been related to the elements of the game I want to hear about, but there will be people who find what has been released useful. That's the same for plenty of other games though. It's not just a Konami thing.

Anyway, we'll get to play the launch game in its demo state in two weeks and we can at least start to discuss the gameplay and new gen graphics properly then.

it's almost as if they are deliberately only releasing info on the things that will get them extra money, and no info on the things that are low priority for them like offline game modes and gameplay depth and that's entirely the point of why people are annoyed...

you are going to be waiting a long time for your ML info mate.

Another negative voice not giving the game a proper chance.

I mean sure, they put a finger on your face and then peed, they said it's an e-sport for a new crowd and that "soccer" is only fun 5 meters around the ball, but all that is no reason to think the game will be bad. It might be awesome!!! 🤣

And because it's Konami, they are peeing with the zipper unopened... even that *will be available via future updates for just 40€........... etc..........

I think that's because the roadmap shows its all online modes being released first, so I guess it makes sense that is what we hear about the most at the moment. Not trying to justify what they're doing to be awkward, just giving my honest opinion of all that's been going on with eFootball.

Yeah, I don't expect ML to be arriving any time soon. I have said that numerous times already to be fair. At least 6 months I had in my head as a completely un-educated guess. That's why I picked up PES 21 last weekend!

What I don´t really get...and I´m not a game developer nor a programmer or something.

And it´s also not that it´s really important....but the ball boys throwing the ball to the keeper when it´s out.
They say, this is only happening in the next gen version.

Why? This should be absolutely doable in the current version either, right?
And not just now, but for years already.

Like I mentioned....not important, but I was just wondering.
Very true, I think they've been doing it in FIFA since 15 on the PS4?

So it looks like the team building "My Club" element gets added on 11th November. Is there anyone on this forum who is interested in that online mode? I'm sure I'll play it a bit to see what it's like.

He just comes across that because he can't compete with other FIFA youtubers he would still rather bash FIFA no matter how bad EFootball ends up being. That's just my impression of the guy.

I'd hope that anyone who is interested in the online mode can say so on here without being made to feel small or ashamed. Everyone's entitled to like what they like and express that opinion without being mocked. Fair enough if you're not interested in the online aspect, but let's be respectful of eachother.
