eFootball (All Platforms)

This is true

About adding PSG to the 9 team €footbqll demo, maybe they only have PSG licenced via Ligue 1 and can't use PSG separately without the other French teams? Easy solution surely is to add the Argentina NT to the available teams... assuming the haven't lost that licence too

Btw EA are going to go after Ligue 1 exclusivity now aren't they!

I think Barça will continue to be the main club for marketing,.and they Will show Leo Messi on that crap efootball t-shirt.

I didn't buy PES 21 because I hated PES 20. Didn't like animations and CPU marking AI on 1 on 1 situations.

Animations was a step back imo. Too float and stiff.

Dribbling the CPU players does not feel organic and intuitive You flurry, steps over, body shakes and the CPU players never buys for it. It stays planted in front of you like a mirror. You trap the ball to the oposite way the marker is coming from, then he instantly stops and turns in you way. Markers didn't have momentum or something.

There is two things is very important to me in a football game; Dribbling and shooting from long range.

I still playing PES 2018.

It's men against boys in the promotion stakes. And that's more of a criticism of Konami than praise for EA.

I find it worrying that we've arrived at a point where the appraisal of PES 2021 and hopes for eFootball is contingent upon mods. I'd have a big cock if I had big cock surgery. For now? Wholly adequate at best.
Thing is base PES is better than base FIFA in terms of gameplay and has a better base for gameplay mods. That doesn't mean it shouldn't improve but... The fact is that in the pitch IT IS a better game.

PES 2021 solves parte of this, and gameplay mods, specifically Jostike's exe + a dt of my own yet to be released, solve the rest of the problems.

Whilst I agree, FIFA isn't the benchmark. A slap in the face would be more desirable than a kick in my aforementioned adequate genitals, but I'm not rushing out to get either.

What's crazy about the poor marketing from Konami is that their past marketing around their prime/peak, hell even 8 years ago etc. IS SO MUCH better. That's why I think they are really scaling down the company and scaling down the "PES" staff and spending the least amount of money to make the most amount of money via microtransactions.

I was out of touch then as a staunch FIFA player but I can fully believe it was better then, given how bad it is now. I understand they outsource some of their social activity but the core content is piss poor. That Neymar/Messi graphic is so bad it does more reputational damage than good.

It's risky business. FIFA thrives on hype and they know how to put lipstick on their pig. Remiss of Konami to ignore that aspect of it.

The fact that Konami themselves are still using this image to market their game speaks volumes about what graphical fidelity they'll be aiming at in the final product.

They are literally setting (and lowering) expectations.

This is the sort of image you'd expect a salty fanboy to have captured, getting the frame just right for a really awkward snapshot, then sharing with "lol pes graphics.. tHe PiTcH iS oUrS!!"

But it's actually Konami doing it. Chosen, by purpose. The thumbnail of the YouTube video; the promo image for tweets. I'm far beyond thinking this is standard Konami incompetence or lack of oversight at this point. I don't even think it's a lack of care from them any more. No, I think it's because they are actively lowering expectations.

Yep this is how I feel as well. They are letting you know - THIS IS NOT A NEXT GEN GAME. Loud and clear.

Look at the trailer they made LAST year for PES 2022, clearly they wanted to show how amazing it would look, now they are lowering expectations big time. It's not PES, that's over - it's efootball the new f2p mobile-focused game.

Welcome to 2021 gaming, where real devs are fired and the brilliant marketing entrepeneurs are given the wheel! They know fuck all about game physics, but they bring so much positive energy! They are such an enthusiastic bunch! It'll be EZ 'cause any sort of criticism can now be handled with bots and fanboiz! What could go wrong ?

:BAND: It's the end of the woooorllddd , AS WE KNOW IT!

Someone was singing some R.E.M around here the other day too

I wonder if there's someone that still think that Konami don't have any better screenshot to show yet.

Let's face it, this game is not next gen.

i hope it will... my focus is Gamecom where a far more polished version is shown. i hope.

if the GC show from Konami is nearly amateurish like the trailer than i have no hope for "early autumn" Demo release and the future.

but i think the Neymar Face looks really nice and could be nextgen but without proper physics, gras, animations, ect... nextgen is far away at the moment.

Not that this is a comparison thread, but are you telling me pes2021 animations are a step back from pes2018?? Totally disagree. I actually went through about 50gb of pes2018 video clips (1080p at 60fps) the other day... deleted them all, including all my pes2019 clips.. why.. they look awful compared to the thousands of pes2021 videos ive produced. Everything about pes2021 looks more realistic.. animations, variety, speed of the game. Ive noticed on key factor that makes pes21 look more realistic.. the cpu uses more touches and dribbles more before passing. Pes18 19 and 20 to an extent, involved way too many first time passes.. consequently making the game look so much quicker and unrealistic on how the the cpu built up its play. I think dp6 and 7 (as spoonypizza suggested) incorporated a whole lot of "patience" on the cpu's attacking attitude.. (could always improve).. now the cpu actually stops, and passes the ball back if they cannot get through, rather than the overly direct play. Not perfect..but improved over 18 19 n 20

This is way worse than PES2014, you can already tell ... it had decent animations, and looked super-realistic compared to this. Even gameplay was good but only after 7 months of patches.

Just compare trailers and gameplay from PES 2014 to this ... 8 years difference ... where else in the world (in any area, not just gaming) you can see that kind of fall. (and we even thought PES 2014 was disaster)

Everything about pes2021 looks more realistic.
Agree. Everything on Pes21 looks more realistic.
Problem is - it doesnt feel/play more realistic. And thats why most people put this game away.
I watched Pes21 realism review and it looks like a real match. Made me jump straight back to Pes and update all the kits and tactics. Took 3 matches to quit the app and fire up Fifa16.
You can say that mods improve the AI and overall gameplay and you can say that exhibition matches are great, but if you are on console or want to play Master League - it quickly becomes sluggish, unresponsive, dull and shallow experience, with samey AI and no goal scoring satisfaction.
