Would you believe me if I said fifa 20 is the worst football game in history to everyone I met and talked about football games for half of entirety of 2020 and late 2019? and then I found realistic sliders recently , and along with me sitting and recreating wonderkids for clubs all around europe in edit mode , doing my best with their faces and stuff, along with accurate transfers for many clubs (yes even second divisons) and other clubs , on my xbox, really made me like fifa 20 so much more again, recently I started an everton career mode, also if someone looks at the snippets of FIFA 22 gameplay closely, you can see that there are some good elements of PES 2020 / 2021 taken by EA gameplay directors, because EA are smart .. unlike Konami, that's all I have learnt about Konami in the 1 and a half year of me following PES / Konami. But now I will go back to EA.. i guess, because they have sliders , and pes never had sliders because it didn't need them because the gameplay was good enough.. in recent years you could need them yes, to sort out but they never added them anyways.

They're calling us "old" and telling us to "go play PES 2006".

But he doesn't know that because he was obviously too young in 2005 to remember that the game was called WE9/PES5. Still he has a point: that's what the new generation of gamers want, that's why they're delivering.

Would you believe me if I told you I am 15 and I really like PES 5 , 6 and haven't bought recent fifas (other than 20 sadly I was roped in with the career mode cutscene, but even with sliders now as I said above it's pretty decent, 6-7/10, before sliders I thought of fifa 20 as 2/10) so I switched to Pes for 1.5 year to this date hoping they'll give something good in PES 2022 only for PES 2022 to end up not even existing
 
Impossible to please everyone...
Impressive how much people are disappointed, at that point i never saw that in the video game history.

Gives us more info or shut up, now some people will wait and hope for nothing if there's no usual modes to complete the game.
 
What was the 3 year plan that Adam bhati mentioned. The rebuild. The focus on master league. The new gen game. They will now update yearly ie not a new game every year. Wtf just happened I'm shocked I had hoped against all hope it would be a great game this year on new gen etc. Ah well pes2021 it is then. 9 teams it's a demo really. Improve the surface look of the pitch ie grass texture ?. Unbelievable unacceptable.

same situation here. i'm now 36 years old and PES, ISS and Winning Eleven have brought me incredible joys in my life. i can hardly put it into words. how happy i was to have bought a ps5, full of hope that konami will make its great announcement come true. and then came today. I can say without exaggeration that something broke in me today. unreal how big this pain is in relation to a rather trivial matter. But PES, this complete series, has given my life so much, I'm just so sad. Guys, we shouldn't take it that way, even if everything doesn't work, but Konami has to feel the force of the community. this is no longer fun!

PES 2021 has some of the small gameplay bus and issues fixed compared to PES 2020, but one thing is still horrendous - Referees.
I recommend getting PES 2021 on PC that can run it with fairly decent specs and get Master league mods and a turf mod and honestly I hope that PES 2021 also gets support like PES 6 does to this day with rosters update etc. so someone can make a 21-22 kits , promoted / relegated 2nd divisions and transfers. I think that'd be the last way to preserve Offline modes on new PES (or the last PES)
 
You see it everywhere.. music movies and sadly now PES.

Of course thats what new gamers want. 100% flash, 0% substance. I'm really not surprised at all. Everything in entertainment has gone downhill. No art left at all, just instant flash.

Offline modes all the way. That's where the heart of PES is, anyway.

right... windows 10 was also supposed to be "forever" and "no more updates". so, ofc "there will be no more «yearly PES»" xD
just mega DLC that cost the same and serve the same purpose and probably even more things to pay inside the game... -.-
 
I swear that if the leap in the visual side of things had been up to what we've been idealizing since they announced they were moving to UNREAL ENGINE I would at least try to be OK with the rest. Because maybe, just maybe, the gameplay will be better than it was in PES 2018/2019/2020/2021, and maybe just maybe, this new method of AddOn Game Modes could be tolerated and we could get used to it.

But ditching the FOX ENGINE for the UNREAL ENGINE just to make it look like a PS3 game is beyond explainable.

got to remember this is just the english speaking community and theres probably far more numbers speaking japanese or mandarin etc who will be very pleased with this cross platform system

It's not a conclusion about Evo members and English only.
Even one of my japanese contact stop editing. Jpesedit team is very disappointed.

Don't think you're alone, is not because many people liked Pesmobile than they didn't played at least Pes 2020-2021.
 
Do you think it's realistic to start a crowdfunding thing and to find an indie developer to start a real football simulator even if it doesn't have any licensing. We all know what modes will do 😬

my point was mobile gaming is much bigger in asia the whole modding community will be gutted but the general players not so much, at the end of the day people still played on xbox with no edit files or anything

We've seen the series being born, we've witnessed it grow, we were here when it reach its pinnacle, and it's been a hell of a journey. They will never be able to take this away from us.

Without US buying their game in the past, even when it wasn't in their best form (i'm thinkin' about PS3 era) PES would be nowhere until know.
I personnally think that the majority of buyer are guys with our average age. And some young people who can't stand Fifa (there were more and more buying it by habit, but not playing like on PS3 era > golden age of Fifa)
 
Funny how it all goes in circles..

Initially - a lot of people argued with us, sometimes against logic, that "New Football game" has nothing to do with Pes.

Then, when everyone realised what we're dealing with - a lot of people started saying that Pes will become F2P. A lot of these people, ironically, were the people who argued that NFG has nothing to do with Pes.
Then we, who laughed at NFG, were in denial that Pes would go F2P..

And today - we are all standing here, together. In disbelief. Some of us sad, some angry.

And the same way few people came here today to say - "sorry for arguing with you - you were right" - I believe that at this stage we should also say
- Sorry, @GalvaniRenan - you were right. You dont look like plonker now. We look like plonkers for believing that there was still hope for the series
 
Just did the same as @Chuny did, bought a PS5. Because i had the Feeling that PC Football Games are no Cash Cows (not my Thoughts, Konami and EA's Thoughts). They see that Console Version of their Games make that great Profit, and PC Versions only make Trouble.
So, Community, wake up, the Good (offline) Times of our favourite Sports Game pasts bye...
