eFootball (All Platforms)

I wonder what the repercussions will be regarding the big licenses they still have.
Surely Barcelona and Juventus won't want to be a part of it and will want to go back to FIFA. Probably Bayern's Allianz Arena as well.

I can't see those big clubs wanted to be associated with this 'game' anymore.
Money!
And they'll sell their own mother's.
That's how big business football works.

My first comment on this matter will be: I'm sorry for being so naive to think the "New Football Game" test was just that. Boy was I wrong.
Sorry @rojofa you were right!

I just can't put into words how I feel right now.
Fair play to you, Chuny, for coming back and saying this.
There was so many signs and hints in "New Football Game" indicating that it was, indeed, new Pes.
But it was simply too much to reply to you and tell the whole story again.
We were just hoping that it was some very early built, or a very stripped version of the game to drop the download size.

We are all devastated now, I never thought I will see such a sad and greedy end to the series. And I really want to punch certain individual for all the lies he was feeding us throughout the years.

Can we Just mention that they bought around 30.000 or 15.000 likes for the eFootball 2022 Trailer?

Just look and compare the Like/View Ratio of other Videos.
That's really strange. Although i know there are paid views/likes in our era, but it looks very strange that there are 37k likes and "only" 6k dislikes (still a big numver though), when in the most part of PES communities, i've seen only three people being positive, there rest are all negative/angry/disappointed/pessimistic/shocked.

2 franchises I love have done this in the same year: Assassin's Creed and now PES. 2 more franchises that went from being amazing to "meh", and now they are officially dead. Saying I'm feeling sad about it would be an understatement.

Seems now that we only have FIFA then. No other option. This sucks...

I couldn't possibly come here today acting like I wasn't the stupidest guy in the room after what I said :(

Sure, but we all were at the start. When I saw "New Football Game" first and noticed mobile cursor - I thought (and said) that this is just ported mobile game to test the performance on unreal engine (since mobile was running on Unreal for a while)
Only when we started digging deeper and did the survey - most of us started going
"- uh-oh..."

Worst year ever... Daft Punk and now PES

You have no faults Chuny, almost everyone (including me) was thinking that that mobile porting was made only for online testing instead it's actually almost the final game. Konami brought all of us in a wrong direction with their shameful communication breaking our dreams. But like I said before, we still have EvoWeb and PES 2021, I don't care anymore about Konami projects from today.

So, this is it..

After 25 years of playing and eagerly waiting for the next release, they kicked me in the arse.

Once, i found out an old exgirlfriend was cheating on me.. this feeling in my guts after that "trailer" is pretty much the same.

How unprofessional and blind can they be?

Even if i didn't expect a lot, they did manage to disappoint me.
I was waiting for pes 22 news to finally buy a ps5, but i think its for the best.

RIP dear friend

I knew this day was coming but I sure as hell wished I wouldn't live long enough to see it.
Maybe in 100 years when global warming swallowed the earth and shit went downhill, people would give up on making decent football games but certainly wasn't expecting this in 2021 while making the leap to NEXT GEN!!!!! A mobile game KONAMI? Are you serious right now?

But guys I'm struggling to understand what's going on here, so please help me.

So I'm trying to look at this from a business perspective and see how this shift makes sense financially but there are some questions I can't answer.
By the way, I have no idea about the financial situation of Konami and whether PES has/hasn't been profitable for them over the last few years, so I will be purely speculating based on my perception here but if you have detailed info, please share.

What I don't understand is;

- Why are they not going with the old method and release PES 2022 and PES 2022 Lite as separate games? They would sell the game to offline players as usual and whoever can't pay the full price would go with the Lite version. Why would they give up on this income from day one?

- Is it because they think selling offline modes as DLCs will make them more money?

- Or could it be because they scrapped offline modes for good? I doubt that it's the case but let's speculate for the moment, the only logical reason I can think of would be that the development costs are not worth it. Does the development of the offline modes really cost that much? Could they not have just copy-pasted what they had in PES 20&21 with a couple of additions, like they have been doing for the last few years anyway?

Like I said I haven't got a clue how Konami are doing financial-wise and I don't have in-depth knowledge about video game economics, I'm just an average gamer so my questions could be completely invalid but any insight would be appreciated.

THis i will say has zero value now, since the patient passed away, but i don't think everyone was thinking this. Most people, at least here more than 50%, were posting that this is not for testing purposes, but it's the final game in disguise.

I really can comprehend people when e.g. Take That have separated. I‘m really sad about what happened to our beloved Pro Evo! How can they make such a piece of shit instead of making us to be proud. All the memories, all the great moments I have never experiencend in other games.

It's a shame can't you feel the pain
It's a shame to play this game…“

They say they have changed the controls but what they really mean is that they have REMOVED commands.

For example, the absent teammate pressuring command in the Beta/whatever isn't coming back I GUESS (although it was overpowered it had a purpose). 1 on 1 is what it is capable of. Thats why that is all they talk about in the trailer.

It's dumbed down for the mobile devices. Making runs, etc, all gone. PROBABLY.

also graphics are lower than normal cause adaption of mobile graphics on consoles, this is not next gen at all

Graphics that are shown in close up, like Neymar and Iniesta, simply looks FOX engine to me, no difference from last year game, but literally nothing

Men they've ruin it my PES experience, i usually play the offline modes, i don't quite like Myclub or any online modes, and that's a party boomer for me, they've focused in the online modes and forget about offline player, of course they can't monetize offline modes. i think i stick with Efootball PES 2021.

Its seems there is nothing made from scratch like a mix between fox engine and unreal 4 engine + port mobile graphics to consoles and pc
