EA SPORTS FC 26

I hate EA. I've bought Ultimate Edition for 99,99 € and still couldn't play a single game. Absolute disgrace.

I'm experiencing a full system freeze after playing EA FC 26 for just 2 minutes. There’s no BSOD or crash report — the whole PC just locks up (sound stop but screens keeps showing a picture). Because of that, I thought it might be something GPU-related, maybe a driver issue or some setting that’s messing things up.

I’ve already tried lots of fixes, but nothing helped. Every time the game freezes and i have to shut off the pc by holding power button.

It’s a new PC build, and I haven’t had any issues with it before. It's only happening after 2-3 min while playing EA FC...

Hands off lads, don't buy it.
 
Just renewed my EA Play membership to unlock the 10 hour trial.

Must admit I was hoping to read through the first impressions on this thread and be pleasantly surprised, but it looks like an overwhelmingly negative experience so far.

I do think you need to get a feel for the game yourself. I didn’t mind FC25, but there was nothing there to grip me into a long term save and some of the fundamentals of the game were completely broken. FC26 does not seem like a major step change despite the promising introduction of Authentic Mode.

Hopefully I can play a couple of games tonight.

Make sure that your computer isn't overheating.. That could be an issue, which I solved with a program called Throttlestop.

It is a 100 °C for some seconds only in the beginning when the game loads shaders. But in the menu its not overheating at all. After i switched to power saving mode, that was not the problem. But anyway thanks for sharing your solution, mate.
 
@sir_mamont oh ok, mate.. I would still recommend you using the program, because even if only for a few seconds, 100 degrees for a CPU might not be good for the computer! I've used it for years with no issues. (with the recommended configuration in the link above). Anyway, hope you can solve the overall issue.. :TU:

Same, feels so on rails and no inertia /randomness with the ball.
 
Gameplay aside, I'm really underwhelmed by the graphics & lighting on PS5. UFL looks better (that game is shit though)
 
I had just restarted the game. Among other things, I had done a squad update and then changed something in the game settings – unfortunately, I don't remember exactly what I changed.

Then I wanted to see if Barca's anthem was included. (It isn't.)
So I played a game for maybe a minute or two.

I don't know if it was a coincidence, but it seemed to me that the gameplay with manual passes had improved somewhat.
That is, passes no longer went exactly to the foot of the recipient. It wasn't like a magnet, from foot to foot.

So there was a noticeable increase in freedom.

Since I know that the latest editions of EA FC/Fifa often had life tuning updates that caused changes to the gameplay, that would be the only plausible explanation for me that this was also the case here.
But I'm not sure. Whether it was the placebo effect or actually something positive from EA.


In any case, if that was the case, it was heading in the right direction.

Please, please EA, don't mess this up!
I only bought EA FC 26 because of the authentic gameplay.

And the authentic gameplay can't be authentic enough!

The comments under that tweet shows how ignorant people are about games.
"It shouldn't be realistic because it's a video game" says someone. Omg. Then by that logic all the games should be like super Mario.
And we wouldn't have a masterpiece like RDR2.

Guys, we're just fooling ourselves. We won't have the sim game we want under the same game.

Ea should make separate ea fc 27 and Fc ultimate games. And no, FC ultimate game shouldn't be free like efootball. Put a $90 price tag on it and they'll all buy it in a heart beat. Since money isn't a problem for them
 
Tried the EA pass trial , total garbage. Players float about yet slow and sluggish , on semi literally the AI controls everything . You can press pass button with no direction and the AI will complete a pass for you .

Faces are nice though , back to pes 21 modded

When you start your trial/early release today, you should see a pop-up with a QR code. Scan this with your phone and you can give feedback on any part of the game you like - including gameplay, split into several categories (e.g. passing).

They also have a box to provide YouTube clips of your issue, so if you have any clips, please provide them to enhance your chance of being listened to.

The basic link is here - click me - BUT I would recommend using your personal one if possible, using the QR code mentioned above, as it's bespoke to you.

Since they are evaluating feedback more closely this year, I think it's worth it to fill it up. The majority of FC players aren't going to fill it up(since they are casuals) so this is the biggest chance for our voice to be heard.

If FIFA 17 had been delayed by a year to switch to the Frostbite engine, and instead been developed on the Ignite engine that year, one can only imagine what kind of status they could have achieved with FIFA 17.

I just tried @saturator's manual sliders and it makes a big difference on overall feel, but as Paris FC vs PSG, I had 96% pass accuracy (vs 86%). On MANUAL passing. It's just a joke. :(

Precision passing (R1+:triangle: or RB+Y) removes the rails, and it's lovely to use, but I think it's 100% manual.

1) It shouldn't take 100% manual input to allow a free ball and introduce error, 2) it's still a "fake" ball in as much as any deflections will go to a man - not free, and 3) the pass accuracy on them was almost 100% despite being manual...

I agree with that. Something has changed today, and we know that EA is used to doing live updates...
 
i know this isn't how the developers want you to play the game but legacy defending is broke. Whether it's primary or second man pressure it always puts you in the wrong position. It's as if it aims your player to where the ball carrier was a couple of steps earlier

Competitive master switch on
Player based difficulty on
Custom AI with high aggression and crossing
Sliders that reduce line length, increase pass error, increase shot error, increase acceleration, increase run frequency, increase marking, increase first touch error, increase ball randomness --- is probably where the optimal offline settings will end up.

It's still built for online and doesn't grip you on the pitch offline.

I don’t like it either. Feels like the same old nonsense only slower. Game needs to be rebuilt from the ground up.

Just managed to fit in a couple of games - Honest first impression is a bit ‘meh’.

Personally, it did not feel like a major upgrade on FC25. Absolutely nothing about it got me up out of my seat.

I will keep plugging away and see how I feel at the end of the trial.
