EA SPORTS FC 26

My concern is Konami may sign Dortmund which would be a like for like in stadiums gained and lost, EA could lose Signul Iduna in FC26.

Unless Konami are planning to finally offer offline content & do somehting with their real world clubs, I wish FC would just remain the focal point of real world branding and just leave the fantasy stuff to UT & Dream Team.
I may well chuckle a little if Dortmund sign up with Konami again, considering their terminated their last deal with them early. Westfalenstadion would be a big loss to EA, what with it's famed atmosphere and "Yellow Wall", but as the guy said in the other thread, it seems confirmed for FC 26 at least

Overall, its positive sign of their gameplay separation ... combine it with sliders, better footplanting and better collision detection .... Just hope they slow down animations in realistic gameplay.

It can be OK game (7/10) ... i mean, lets not fool ourself, we will never get PES 2017 or 2019 from todays EA ... best we can get is FIFA 16.

I seen a video a few days ago of a guy revisting Fifa 16. He said the gameplay was crap. But I think he was one of these Futters, so...

Well @Chris Davies you got your wish to have a sim & casual mode, how different they will truly be is yet to be apparent, as usual these reveal trailers are 2 second jump cut sensory attacks that often conceal the flaws.

On the positive side the running looks a little better & midfield seems to be tracking back while defending more than they did on vanilla 25.

They claim they've improved keeper intelligence so I'm hoping that includes coming off they're line & not politely waiting for a striker to jog through on goal.
Exactly my first thought when I saw the trailer yesterday. 😂 @Chris Davies

"we listened to your feedback" and not a single mention of addressing 1v1 defending, perhaps the most defining feature ever to worsen a sports franchise. 🤷‍♂️
The list of "authentic gameplay" changes lists defensive alterations as part of its gameplay features, right?

They're not going to mention something in a 2-minute sizzle trailer aimed at FUT junkies that the sim players "cry about" (to quote the toxic playerbase). There's hope yet.

seeing the 100 mile an hour passing and the "Trixster" acrobatic move was enough for me to never want to watch anoter video let alone buy it.
At least wait until a trailer has been released for the "authentic gameplay". It may well prove a disappointment but I think it'll be obvious quickly if it's really not very good again.

Exactly! Also, let's spend 80 to 120 quids just to try it because EA says its "authentic", then you can have some disappointing objective view, and then you can't even refund it coz' you're above the time limit (EA having another objective accomplished). This feels like some shitty shoe company pushing another line of neon farted cracked pants on you to buy them (smelling that from afar), at the same time people into the neon saying "You can't know for sure until you wear them..."

Alright, what is this now? The 7th year in a row? I think we can already sum it up before the game even drops.

It’ll be a pretty decent game for the first 3–4 weeks, then EA will roll out one of their garbage patches and completely ruin the gameplay by speeding everything up.

Same story every single year. I couldn’t care less about the trailers, new Ultimate Team nonsense, flashy ads, or “gameplay reveal” videos. It’s all just hype for the UT crowd. There’s nothing worth getting excited about anymore. Don’t fall for it again.

Another year, and still no decent football game.

I'm a grown man now, but sometimes I honestly feel a bit emotional thinking back to those August/September days—getting hyped for a new PES/FIFA release. Rewatching every trailer, breaking down every 0.1 second of new footage just to catch a glimpse of updated graphics or new animations.

Sleepless nights, pure excitement… man, those were the golden days.

Now it’s all ruined by Ultimate Team crap and microtransactions. So damn sad.

FC 26 will more than likely be a better game than 25. But let’s face it, it won’t be what most of us re looking for. Especially those who only play offline. There are so many chronic issues and annual irritants with the game that the whole IP really needs to be rebuilt from the ground up.

EA could make billions in a heart beat by porting over there FIFA street and world cup games to PC but they'll never do it because EA

This trailer is hilarious.

It is EA taking the piss out of its own community whilst also admitting that it has to satisfy it so FC 26 is attempting to cater for both.

EA... listen... You will NEVER keep the UT players happy. I watched a few of the UT youtuber vids on how "bad" FC 25 is. Their arguments are so damn stupid its comical. One of the best ones was "WHY CANT I PLAY SALAH AT LEFT BACK IF I WANT TO?!". Errm... cos he cant play there in real life ??

Honestly, sad situation, that whole generation or whatever do not understand "beauty of soccer", "beauty of combinations", "beauty of team interaction", real strategies, "philosophy inside" and all other stuff, that makes soccer unique kind of sport we love all for.

I hope there's an opportunity to use the authentic settings online.

Doesn't need to be FUT, but at least some mode with progression that doesn't force me to play against the CPU.

My personal best is one FUT idiot who, after one patch, claim "AI defending too good, it needs to be worse" ... while plying games with 7-4 score in 65 minute.
