EA SPORTS FC 26

That Porto one just popped up on my feed. 10/10 game for adding mascots.

Seriously though, it looks playable. I'm not expecting miracles just something that can hold my attention for more than a couple of matches.
 
I do wonder why these last two authentic gameplay vvids look better. Is it possibly that these are on a higher difficulty so the tracking back is better?
It is still far from being good game, take a look how fast players can change running direction :SHOCK:
 

First issue that makes it unrealistic. The tifo is spelled correctly 😛

In seriousness though, this will give a better idea of the game. The SPFL teams are a lesser quality than Bundesliga, Ligue 1, La Liga etc. So should show perhaps a slightly more realistic idea of the game's speed.

Don't know about players standing around the stadium pre-match though. The only really do that for cup finals, do they not?
 
I've just noted that despite using the same EA FC scoreboard, the SPFL team line-up was different to the Liga Portugal one. A nice little touch
 

Again, much better than the rest of the Authentic Gameplay but EA needs to fix two things for sure! (One of them they have not fixed in years)

FIRST to fix:
When the user changes direction, players use those ugly overrided animations that look so awful. I think the "RESPONSIVE" feature they added this year has made it worse!
So, I hope EA has internal sliders or dev settings that allows to recalibrate it. I mean, in all honestly, I want it to be removed but lets see.
BTW, there is a chance that this uglyness is imbued in the engine itself and is unfixable by dev separate authentic settings.


SECOND:
When the players are through on goal, why do the opposition AI defenders jog towards players? Like this is not even Competitive or Authentic discussion.
This is just a very poor AI design and something that FIFA games have been plagued with for years.
Its insane how these things are passed through QA. Like who is even testing legendary, world class AI opposition.
W.r.t offline gameplay, the production value in AI is so low (given how much they charge us for these games. AAA titles)
This thing will not be fixed because opposition AI bugs have been in the game for years( For example, R1 dribble, through ball jog, stupid passes when clear change etc)
 
I find the FC experience is pretty reasonable up to 4.5* teams. As soon as you use the best players with high agility / dribbling / pace it’s a janky horrible mess. I also honestly wouldn’t even be surprised if there’s some now legacy built-in code that makes the game more “competitive” when the best teams are chosen - it’s where the fundamentals break down. The Real Madrid match posted here for example looks terrible. I’ve also only ever experienced the speed up bug a lot of people here talk about with those kinds of teams.

EA’s stats curve is also too flat and further blurred by playstyles. As soon as a player has 85+ on something it breaks the physics. The god-mode animations either need to go or be limited to 95+

how could this be acceptable level of animations? no physics, no inertia, nothing... even prevoius versions of the same engine were better in this regard. Nothing interesting here.

I have FIFA 21 on PC, and I play it sometimes, the "skating" is present, but it's not as pronounced, and the animation speed looks better than in FC26. I don't see any improvements in FC26, just words about it.

This guy doing a mid air flip flap whilst turning. Everything that’s wrong with the game. Physics totally ignored in the name of “control”
 
KONAMI is Porting Mobile Game to Consoles (Efootball) and it is still, by far, the best football game (w.r.t gameplay fundamentals, physics, intertia etc)
On the other hand, EA sports is giving us next-gen exclusive football game which is so poor fundamentally and is not even on par with 10+ years old FIFA games!

As I have said previously, KONAMI will release ML when they want cause they have no competition in FOOTBALL SIM regards. Its a FOOTBALL SIM category monopoly for KONAMI.

Today I was thinking and wanted to share it with you.
Soccer is the greatest sport in the world. All these virtual games are garbage, pathetic, and limited, which unfortunately became that way to satisfy the desires of FUT fans.
Their mentality is completely different. No one cares about simulation. Physics, AI, immersion, and complexity. Their mentality is similar to fans of FPS games, LOL, and Fortnite.
- Building super squads. Being competitive and having fast, lag-free movements. Nothing else matters!
Pro-players pride themselves on using Rio Ferdinand's CARD as a STRIKER. For God's sake, the abyss we've reached. :CONF:

So, what would be the solution?
EA should work on two distinct games, as happened with the DIRT series.

Look at the huge difference. Don't they say they listen to offline fans who are asking for a faithful simulator? So, this is the way to go.



Kids enjoy Dirt, its arcade concept and mechanics. Serious, demanding drivers, obsessed with perfection and realism, choose Dirt Rally.
We'd have EA FC 26 Ultimate Online and EA FC 26 Simulator. Everyone would be happy, receiving dedicated attention.

The funny thing about this is that both DiRT series are dead now. Next to no one played the realistic games, and the arcade games were simply not fun enough.

Okay, there was an update for the beta. Now full crowd and higher framerate :)
 
Had my first games on FC26 using Authentic Mode.
The gameplay has been massively slowed down but the fundamental game is still completely broken.
Liverpool v Arsenal on WC and was 4-0 up by half time as the game still parts like the red sea whenever through ball is done.

Also online both me and mate thought we were just playing a new patch for FC25.

I get the game free as part of EA Play Pro - But this will be the least number of hours played on FIFA.

Legendary difficulty with Competitive Mode off and Player Difficulty on is a must this year, I think (plus Authentic Gameplay of course).

Not saying it fixes everything but World Class is unfortunately far too easy IMO (especially in Career Mode where you get boosts for every little thing).

It's because player speed is still tied to defense jockey bug where they just jog backwards. Authentic gameplay also adjust sliders. One thing I know from past experience is to never touch player speed as it will literally break defense.
 
Thanks to all for your feedbacks. No fundamental, no party to me.

They should restart from Frosbite zero so Fifa 17 and try to improve them related to real physics. Removing Fifa 17 glitches and bugs, no need to mention it.
But from the direction they took, "Hypermotion" is probably an ONLY animations core, not including real physics on it so it may be hard.

We'll see next year, their choice about Authenticity is top and their intentions are good, but if it's for restoring competitive EA FC, it's cosmetic and useless.
Same bad feeling, but harder to score and easier to defend, there's way much more things to add or change to get a good football game.

authentic world class difficulty is easier since the recent beta update. AI doesn’t pressure you as much. Annoyingly, I can’t figure out why some players don’t sprint but seem to run in slow motion when I press the sprint button.
