EA SPORTS FC 25

Is it possible to have like two profiles in one game. Me all manual settings and some other for my liking and my son assisted.

Yes, I had 3 important players out for 1-3 months.
I'm also not doing any trainings/recoveries/massages/whatever and I'm having a really nice fatigue impact. This is first FIFA where I am forced to rotate squad on regular basis and have to constantly reach out to the reserves. I really like this!

Yep, exact same set up for me too and it’s working well so far. Only issue I’m having is that my players are really struggling to gain sharpness. I am just over half way through the season and all sharpness levels are still orange.

I assume it might be because I have switched the training off?

Possibly. I couldn't care less about sharpness to be honest. I don't even know exactly what it does.
I have few players on red all the time.
If they have better and worse performances - it just adds a bit more of immersion for me.

New settings if anyone wanna try this out.
  • World Class difficulty
  • Full Manual
  • Tactical Camera
I'm playing either with sim mode enabled or with the following sliders.
I'm only writing down the sliders I changed. Changes are the same both for User and CPU.

If you want to slow down the game even more, consider playing with a distant view camera. The further you are from the pitch the slower the perceived speed.

Custom Sliders
Sprint Speed - 28
Acceleration - 52
Shot Error - 65
Pass Error - 65
Pass Speed - 35
Marking - 70
Line Height - 40
First Touch Control Error - 70

AI behaviour
Tackle Aggression - 50
Buildup Speed - 20
Shot Frequency - 65
First Touch Pass Frequency - 45
Crossing Frequency - 99
Dribble Frequency - 60
Skill Move Frequency - 1
I was using your full AI behavior set now.
On sim mode as custom sliders aren’t as good, imo.

Oh boy. I enjoyed a 1:0 win with Ipswich vs. Wolves and lost, enjoyable, 0:1 vs. Arsenal, when Harvertz sneaked a beauty into the long corner.

I’m enjoying this game a lot and haven’t even dug deep into tactics yet. I just have a look at the players special roles and try to use their strength.
I’m playing kick-off matches and use a variety of teams from different countries.
Not rushing forward all the time but finding ways towards the opponent box by playing a calm manual ball around the back is fun. Midfield gives me lots of battles too (using second man press is vital, imo). Also I could press high sometimes vs. Arsenal and also was able to steal the ball, and have a 1on1 with the keeper once; that was fun. Missed this one for sure, when I send the ball low next the outside of the post. It looked so cool and organic.

When you get enjoyment from defeats, it’s telling. 😊

As I’d prefer the EA app version (instead of steam’s) cause it worked out fine with mods in ‘24, when is there a price drop to be awaited? Not any time soon I guess; on Christmas, eh?!
My trail should be ending soon and I wanna keep on playing. 😊

Edit: now I’ll visit Scotland and have a firm derby. 🥳

I dont know if someone answered this, but before my gamepass trial would say :you have less than x hrs left of the trial. Now it just says enjoy the trial, any way to know how much time I have left?

Enjoyment from defeats is awesome man! I didn't play career mode yet, only playing kick off matches and enjoying the game!

So sad to see the game speeding up at nights…
Also, got kicked out of a match. The trail ended for me. No counter, no message.
If I understand well, you're all saying a company is selling a product (videogame) for £70 and they manipulate with a daily timer one main aspect of its functionality? Is this for real? Are you all 100% sure this is the case?

I found out by pressing the Xbox button on the Xbox main menu, then going to the achievements section and clicking "stats" (I think that's what it's called). That tells you how many hours you've played, although curiously, it says 11 hours for me...

I've never seen anyone prove it, but I've seen a hell of a lot of people say it - here, on Reddit, on Twitter...

I wish someone would hurry up and prove it so that it could ever be fixed!

Man. Wish there was a level of difficulty between professional and world cup, just a middle ground.
Professional too easy and world class too hard (on Sim). So frustrating.

Just started a Champions League tournament from scratch - gameplay settings, for some reason, were set to "classic" (so it's completely disregarded the settings I've chosen for my profile in the main menu - i.e. "simulation").

Immediately, alarm bells are ringing. Nevertheless, I set them back to "sim" and played a game (Young Boys vs Aston Villa).

Either it still doesn't work or "the night bug" is real, because every pass took between 0.5-1 second from foot-to-foot.

I would go as far as to say it was unplayable. The EPL etc. needs to be slowed down on sim mode anyway IMO, but this was clearly even faster.

For God's sake, I want to enjoy this game desperately. Why is it like this...

What are you playing on Chris? PS5?

You have to save your profile first. Go to settings/profile/save profile. You have to ''load your profile'' every time you start EA fc 25, otherwise you will lose your team sheets, tactics and game settings.

Looks like devs are aware of this issue:

No night bug and no problem with simulation mode after title update 2. Gameplay is slow and how it should be on sim mode. Xbox series x here.

On Sunday nights the game always speeds up. On Monday morning you will surely feel great again, it is very frustrating when these things happen.

I experienced the same thing yesterday evening for the first time. The game was fast as hell but afterwards I thought what if I disconnected from the internet? Maybe then the game is on normal speed again? Anybody tested that?

I’m always playing offline. Just to make sure it’s not that.

Don’t get me wrong but I have to answer with a question. Why would I make that up?

Sliders give you that level
I'm currently the using the Sim settings, however in that case I might use a set of Sliders - although I don't know if they will be similar to the SIM settings as I believed that even if the sliders are similar it still won't perform as well as in Sim settings (from what I read anyway).

Binged it a lot this weekend, finished my second season in career mode. It's the best Fifa in nearly a decade, but there's still so many irritating things about it, in particular the bugs that appear in career mode (too many to name but in particular youth academy strikers only having 30 in jumping, goalkeepers only having 30 in diving?).

There are also some absurdly highly rated regens appearing at other teams, a 6 ft 7, 18 year old centre back at Barca with a 88 OVR (that I have to admit I just signed), and a 90 OVR GK at Dortmund that is too expensive for me. It feels nice to find these with the scouting but it's a little unrealistic after two seasons.

What I like as mentioned before is disabling search so that you have to scout to find players, and setting transfers to strict so that you can't sign from rival clubs etc. (although this needs to be done more intelligently, depending on level of rivalry, league position etc.) As usual, the ideas are always there but never particularly sophisicated or implimented well.

Manager objectives are incfedibly broken as usual, so setting the board strictness to lenient is a must (or probably off completely next time, since I won the league and Europa, and they still nearly sacked me because I wouldn't play 50 OVR youth players from the academy for a certain amount of the season).

Saying that, on Saturday I had a run of games in particular that were incredibly fun to play, each game felt different and results varied, with a nice realitsic pace to each. One game I had about 15 shots on target, to just one by the AI, and I lost 1 - 0 which felt great. I actually recorded videos of each so will upload when I can. Yesterday, some of the games felt fast again so who knows what's going on.

I've turned off weather effects (wind still on though), the idea is great but it's too janky (especially because the ball is still on rails) and sometimes I feel like it automatically makes your players use way too much power on the passes? When using a driven pass it looks insane.

Injuries are great (if you ignore what the actual injury is). I lost my best player for 3 months on two seperate occasions, and at one point had a mini crisis with 5 of the first team out.

Good call. I think Manager Mode is a mini work of art, considering the depth of it - I never thought there'd be a football game with a manager bolt-on that's anything close to a football manager game, and I love it. Truly love it.

I'd love it to be even deeper - I'd love there to be way more staff involved, a stadium builder LMA Manager style... All that stuff. But that's all bonus fluff that it doesn't need in all honesty.

However, this is another area where I feel like the "fix" they've implemented (making boards "lenient") is a horrible shortcut, rather than devoting time to an actual fix (much like "lack of fouls" being "fixed" by the AI going full psycho in their tackles in moments where there is zero danger to their goal).

I don't want a lenient board... I doubt anyone here does. I want to get sacked, and if I select "lenient" then I'm ruining the experience in one way, so that it isn't ruined in a different way.

I would argue at least 50% of the "Manager Objectives" I've seen are... Not just ridiculous, but genuinely game-breaking given that you get sacked.

For example, "sign X number of American players and play them in 20+ matches this season"... Some clubs (like Wolves) have a Portuguese core, so sure, I see where this idea came from. Good core idea. But no chairman would ever be so specific on the numbers, and they certainly wouldn't think you're a piece of shit if your new signings played in 19 games instead of 20, and fire you with glee.

There's a lot to Manager Mode, there's a lot of moving parts, so it's understandable that some bits are more polished than others. But it's a real issue.

( Unrelated but it made me laugh: )

Loaded up my save just now as I couldn't remember my Manager Objectives...

They're worse than I remembered.

For League Two side, Tranmere Rovers:

DIFMMRN.png

rIOzQ7u.png

Finish with a profit margin of £12.7m:
Roughly what the entire club is worth. So, double the worth of the club in a single season? With a transfer budget of £1m? ❌

Sign one player from the youth academy in the defender position:
No chairman in the world would be so specific about the number of players you must sign, nor the position. ❌

Within two seasons, increase the average age of the squad from 26.9 to 29:
This one is incredibly weird (and again, very specific). You want an OLDER squad? Why? We're not talking from a group of 18-year-olds to mid-20s... We're talking to making your team close to 30... ❌

Gain automatic promotion:
Unrealistically challenging as an objective rather than an aim - and surely promotion in any circumstance (including via play-offs) would be acceptable. It's the same end-result. But... 🆗

Reach the last 16 of the FA Cup:
As a LEAGUE TWO TEAM? Are you on drugs, Mr. Chairman? ❌

Yep, they’re a huge flaw and part of the reason why I have used the no sacking option this year. I agree with your previous post, I want the threat of being sacked but not as a result of failing to achieve some of these ridiculous objectives.

I want the threat of being sacked
I don't. I normally play in the lowest league and just develop youth players. I don't sign anybody and just enjoy the team gradually developing.
I'm always starting career mode with many seasons in mind.
I'm glad there is an option to just turn all this crap off.
Having said that - they should work on those objectives. It is a bit silly.

Surely the objectives could be easily fixed for the level of club being used? Then again this is EA we are talking about.

Don’t get me wrong but I have to answer with question. Why would I make that up?
I'm not saying you're making this up as I've seen a lot of posts here about it. It sounds bizarre though and I'm trying to find a logical explanation. An internal code timer or server side timer that changes the product functionality drastically is somewhat unlawful unless EA mentions this in the terms agreement.

Anyone else done a player career and got to a penalty shootout? Were you able to get past this screen:

X doesn't do anything...

Guess the manager's supposed to press it, but it's a player career, so...
