With the difference that would be easy to change the gameplay. Want more fouls? You can have that. Want to slow down passes? Same. Better than try to mod a game that is not suited to our simulation wishes.
PS Also OSS is better, you see the code and know what it does. That is the reason I prefer FMT from Paul-v, you can do your build and be safe from hidden spyware and other stuff.

having the code just two developers could do that. A bit worrysome the 3d models, could be improved adding some polys, but its not easy, as they are in ASE format.
 
You guys should open a new thread if you are really determined to do something with that open source football game. Unfortunately I know nothing about coding and stuff but I'd love to see it happen!

Fortunately most of the old games have been preserved except: PES 20, FIFA 23,22,21,20,16. That's for pc versions.

The ps4 versions of PES 20, FIFA 16 are well preserved as well.

I don't think FIFA 23 will be available for very long after EAFC is released since the contract with FIFA expires sometime later this year. I recommend people picking up the game on PC now as it's on sale, before prices skyrocket and it is impossible to find new keys (like eFootball 2021).

I don't want to buy fifa 23. It doesn't have Brazil.

Also the world cup mode only has 2 stadiums. What a shit load of fuck we got.
 
Such a disgrace to the greatest world cup ever (incl the greatest wc final ever). You see this first, if EA release another WC game, the're gonna put all stadium since next wc is gonna be in North America.

Couldn't agree more.

Isn't it bizarre how we went from 90s football games with fantastic gameplay despite the clear technological limits...

...to 00s football games where player-and-ball were truly separated (with loose balls, off-target passes and matches where no two games were the same)...

...to 10s games where we saw modern masterpieces of the genre (World Cup 2010, FIFA 14-16, PES 2013 etc.)...

...to now, back to skating players, grossly simplified "cheat" physics and balls-on-rails to ensure an easy-to-play game with stupid scorelines, FIFA 99 style.

All players no matter their attributes 100% accurate at everything, so that the player's input is never bad, wrong or upsetting in some way.

Even the goals are all the same (driving run from midfield, defenders stand and watch, shoot, goal). No thought required, just hold sprint. All the while being told Hypermotion is incredible and "realism, realism, realism".

This is where we are.

 
Whatever FIFA title I watch Ultimate Team gameplay will remains the same. And there is no chance they will change it because they know what you expect from pro-idiot-players. The only way to understand if the gameplay have something new is to watch seasons.

Just oh so slightly touching the topic… I was such a fan of the basic idea behind the other titles Master League Online mode approach years ago. 😍 oh what could’ve been, if that idea had taken off the right way.
