EA SPORTS FC 24

It is incredible that the most popular sport in the world does not have a decent video game.
our only hope is that a good developer with money makes a new game, a game without licenses and/or moddable will not have enough support to survive in the long term
 
Ok, I am done with beta, I Have a little time to play these days (Family, Kids, etc...) and I prefer to play my FIFA23 full modded than the beta.

Yes for me FIFA23 with mods it is a lot better than vanilla FC24 (at this state)

FIFA with mods or sliders is always better than vanilla version😅

But in beta every time i change "my config", manual controls, sliders, etc... when executed the game all the config reset to default. Its is a pain in the ass.

I think it's a bug on beta version. I have the same problem on FIFA 22 beta and FIFA 23 beta on Series X.
I'm a FUMA player and after each match i was on FUTO with "Time Finishing" enable😵‍💫.
No problem on retail versions.

I love the FIFA 16 "FIFA Classic Patch" and the Stadium Server, and I think that only works with 1.07 - and I have to admit, it's a sacrifice I'm willing to make (with heavy slider changes).

Which proves I do have some willingness to sacrifice gameplay quality for bells and whistles... just not so much gameplay that there's barely anything left, i.e. FIFA 23 and in all likelihood, EASFC. Latest example being:

I'm going to say "it's on Competitor Mode", hope that's why it looks so utterly disgraceful (that pass speed/alien-level ball control FFS) and leave it at that.

I generally don't watch these videos because every Fifa video ever is shite anyway because it's not played how I play the game, however, this at least made me happy:

Pulls a goal back and doesn't run to the corner flag celebrating like they've just won the world cup, maybe there is hope after all...
 
Played the game last night for the first time and it played very similar to last year, but seemed to include pass error by randomly making the ball pass to an opposition player for the hell of it.

Seem way more scripted this year, which really isn't a good thing - Keepers are slightly improved but still do weird dives.

Normally the BETA is good and the game then turns to dog sheet, but this year the BETA is somehow worse than FIFA 23.
So I am really worried about how bad the game will be a month after release when FUT players start complaining the game is too slow and they can't Hadoken.

4 games in and I won't even download the released version even though it is free on EA Play Pro.

I play on 1.07 for an easier life, It's still a far better experience than 23 even if 1.07 is supposedly inferior to 1.0.

Think about this gameplay made for everyone, year after year being more "user friendly". That means a little one with a pacifier in his mouth or even grandpa with a blurry vision could have some equal chances to score via those (thousands) automatic animations. Also, there are even more diverse neon pajama kits, colorful cartoon stadiums and lots of dumpty doo special effects. That's a game developed in mind to be easy to play with, but also vibrantly colorful (similar to a physical toy): more kids, more revenue from gambling with few of them being lucky enough to be rewarded with their favorite Pokémons.

We're thinking on a football game to be developed with simulative aspects, a slower pace and chess tactics? Will bore everybody else to death...

Honestly, the AI almost always did that celebration in past FIFA games when scoring a goal reducing the lead of the other team to just one more goal.

Same here if we talk about FIFA 16.
Even better is 16 vanilla + sliders + mods! 😅

I think that he has a point though: also to me 23 with gameplay fixes and sliders plays better than what we've seen of 24 till now.
