I'm sensing a quick Chelsea goal will make this interesting. I am not liking Makelele's absence one bit, though. He is such an vital piece of the team.

i heard a rumor that Prso is not playing for Monaco. . .is this true??? :l

is true :l Prso don't play tonight

Was thinking of doing one of them myself. I would have had ending the season potless, PRICELESS!!!!

Makelele has been shit for chelsea, they look better without him.

I'm not a diehard fan of any team in the EPL, but love to watch 'pool and Chelski, and hoped that the Blue bastards would win.

Props to Monaco who did what they had to do. That 1-2 with Morientes for the win was silky smooth, and its got to be great for him to thumb his nose at "Lost Galacticos".

I know there seemed to be some bitterness towards Gudjohnsen and Gronky blowin' some chances, but am I the only one who thought Joe Cole played like a kid in a backyard. I love his moves and his tempo, but he blows so many chances and has a horrible final touch (passing and shooting) that makes all his positives null and void in some games.

Anyone agree, or am I on crack?

Well what can i say, we were beaten fair and square. It was game on for a bit. Nevertheless, we did the best out of all the Prem league teams, and CL semi final is nothing to be ashamed of. All we can hope for is automatic qualification next season.

PS. All you fuckers chucking stones, stop it. You know who you are...and i know who you are. Funny the forms jealousy can take on.

I was so happy, when we went 2 nil up.
Oh well. Next stop, a new manager. Maybe next season. And Gudjohnsen hit the post. Full credit to Monaco but i have to say that we were rather unlucky.

Well I started watching after 60 mins and I thought you lot were dire. Full credit the commentators said you played really well in the first half but when you needed goals you lacked and creativity. I know Monaco sat back but they looked more likely to score than you did at 2-2

Yeah Ghazi I agree about Cole. Has ability but seems to do crazy stuff in crazy places.

Felt rather sorry for Terry and Eidur, although I ain't a fan of Chelsea or Terry in particular he did look upset as did Eidur and they had the decency to congratulate the Monaco players and subs who consoled them even though they where very down.

I guess the Tinker-man's tinkering has lead to his demise, I like him, but he has made some costly errors no doubt, although the team is only a season old and I think too many where thinking way ahead of themselves.............looking/listening to the Chelsea fans they have grown way to cocky and smug.

Of course, you just scored accidentally with a cross and your other goal was a scuff/mishit ;).

...and monaco hit the post ;)

Oh and Desailly got away with an elbow in the first leg by staying on the pitch, and Makelele got a player sent off.

I'll stop now.

Desailly was punished for that.
Makelele did make too much of it, but you cant hit someone on the head like that.
We hit the crossbar.
They hit the post, only after the shot deflected of Terry.

Yes, I know Desailly has since been punished, but I did say he got away with it by staying "on the pitch" instead of being sent off and his team down to 10 men. You hit the crossbar from what, 4 yards out, when it was easier to score! The shot was on target before it hit Terry, you were lucky it did.

I'm not trying to slate Chelsea, but you were far from "unlucky", you had a ton of chances and missed them all, needing two lucky goals (Monaco defender kicked the ball as much if not more than Lampard for the 2nd goal).

thats gotta hurt, 2-0 up and fucked it up..

Oh well fellas you's have had a cracking season and in the end just beaten by a better team.

It does hurt. It looked a possibility at one point. But I'm sure you know the feeling Vnz, fucking up, that is. ;) we all do.

This match shows how mluch football is played in the head...Chelsea were outsanding till Monaco's goal...
As non-Chelsea fan: congratulations for your beautifull campaign. Credit to the team and Ranieri...you will never find a better coach...it's not that simple to make a team with that much new players gel...In Monaco he gambled and lost, but he could have scured qualification there aswell...

Like i said in the CL Thread. If i were Chelsea i would search another coach than Mourinho. Otherwise Chelsea will become the most hated team in Brittain's football history. The two reasons: Abramovich money (look at all the jealous gloating in this thread) and Mourinho's viscious tactics...

If Abramovich has enough patience Chelsea will surely win the CL over the next few years..

yeah it aint nice, but still its been a good run in The CL and 2nd in the league and one of three UK teams to beat Arsenal (the greatest team to ever play the game  )

Anyway nowt like a big game straight afterward a big loss and feck me you's have got the best record for an away team at OT so ...

:x for me!!

Gronkjaer's was a brilliant goal.
And i would not say we have second spot until we do. If United beat us, and Leeds beat us, we do not have second, do not be overconfident.
Anyway, how were we lucky if the shot deflected off Terry, it just means that Terry defended well.
I have to say, it was just lucky, in my opinion. I have a right to an opinion.

Of course you do, and I'm just saying I don't agree with it is all. You have the right to an opinion but saying Gronkjaer's goal was intentional is just lunacy .

I was merely conversing with Vnz about getting a draw. I'm far from overconfident. You're normally mouthing off about Chelsea yourself mate.

I almost cried last night. I dont think gronkjaer intended that goal, all he does is run normally!

Im so upset, i actually thought wen lampard scored that we could have gone on to win 3/4 nil. But again morientes shows he is still one of the best strikers in the world.

It doesn't matter if Gronjaer intended that goal or not, it was a greaty goal...i think one must stay positive and presume that he intended it...

Chelsea are still one of the best in Europe and only will become even much more better and better in the days to come.cheer up Blues' fans.
