I would much rather have ronaldo instead of shevchenko. Ronaldo was the top scorer in europe (above henry) before he got injured a few weeks ago an henry got that 4, he is one of one of the two best strikers in the world.

Chelsea have a ready made replacement in Glen Johnson - although sayng that they'll probably buy another 6 right backs in pre season ;)

The big news in the Belgian papers this morning is that Chelsea is interested in Kompany. Manager Kenyon would have spoken with both the club and the player's manager. The deal would be that Chelsea would buy Kompany at the end of this season, but that the player would stay one more year at Anderlecht....Both player and club deny...
 
What's the point for buying a player and then let him play one more season for the old club? why not for us?
 
Jason, the point is that Chelsea know Kompany is very good and other clubs could buy him aswell. They know that Anderlecht will play the CL next year, so it's better that Kompany can play with ANderlecht than be constantly on the bench with them... If this is true, this is a very wise decision.
 
Just read a news that about Ronaldo has said, he wont leave Real Madrid in the next season...

WTF?!?! Yesterday, he'll say I'll go anywhere that Beckham go. And then Today, he'll said I wont leave Real Madrid. Will he said on tomorrow, I have already packed my baggage and ready to come to Stamford??

stop getting your hopes up its all paper talk. Even if he did say that in his first interview about beckham i do believe he never once said he'd move at the same time as beckham.

Yep, because i believe we can do better. I dont really mind if he stays, but i would prefer it if he left. Actually, i dont want him out, but i wouldnt mind it.

Chelsea make 'huge' offer for Samuel


Chelsea have made a 'huge' offer to lure centre-back Walter Samuel away from Roma, according to the player's agent.
The Argentinian, rated as one of the world's best defenders, would be an ideal replacement for the ageing Blues captain Marcel Desailly and could be set to join compatriots Juan Sebastian Veron and Hernan Crespo at Stamford Bridge.


'Chelsea have made a big offer that Roma are considering,' Samuel's advisor Abel Balbo told The Guardian.

The player's agent Raul Oliveros added: 'Chelsea's offer is huge and will be impossible for both the player and Roma to refuse.

Samuel, who is contracted to the Serie A club until 2006, last week admitted he was tempted by the prospect of playing in the Premier League and is likely to cost at least £15million - although money is no object to Chelsea's billionaire owner Roman Abramovich.
 
Looks like Claudio has resigned himself to knowing he will lose his job in the summer! Sad news indeed in my opinion. I'm not a chelsea fan but he has been treated poorly. He deserves better.
 
Who ever goes through gets porto. But i feel that they have been quite lucky througout this campaign.

I'm sensing a quick Chelsea goal will make this interesting. I am not liking Makelele's absence one bit, though. He is such an vital piece of the team.

i heard a rumor that Prso is not playing for Monaco. . .is this true??? :l
