He'll be fine - although he did try a naughty dive on Saturday. No cries from the crowd, just a muffled cringe of embarassment!

As long as he cuts that out, he'll do good. ;)

Chelsea chairman Ken Bates was named as a key figure in a major criminal prosecution by American authorities following an alleged £28 million fraud on five US banks.
Bates was not charged, but has been asked to give sworn evidence, which prosecutors believe is critical to the case.

Former Chelsea director Stanley Tollman has been charged - along with five other defendants - with bank fraud and tax evasion.

Bates' solicitor, Mark Taylor, told the Independent that Bates "has been contacted by the American authorities and has voluntarily assisted those authorities. As the case has yet to come to trial it would be inappropriate to discuss the nature of Mr Bates' evidence. I would stress however there is no suggestion of any wrongdoing on the part of Mr Bates."

Lads i like chelsea but support the toon - am i allowed in?

Of course you are!

As for Stanley Tollman, he used to be a Director but was kicked off the board for 'unsavoury monetary actions' about 10 years ago.

Can't wait for these internationals to finish - England vs Macedonia, Liechtenstein or the Dominican Republic, it really doesn't matter. Get on with it so we can have some real football!

Peter Kenyon to be named Chelsea Chief Executive in the next couple of days.

I don't understand it......more news when I get it.

Oh no not cuddly pete!!!!

The mans a feckin joke, sh*t chelsea are having everyones cast offs....

its official!chelsea have signed peter kenyon from manure.roman "a-son-of-a-bitch" obviously has f*ck all knowledge of football that he actually thinks kenyon is playing football.next up on their list is glen hoddle's faith healer or whoever the f*ck she was.........

It doesnt matter if Kenyon is rubbish (as he seems to be) then Roman "Id buy that for a dollar" Abramovic will just get someone else in and have Kenyon make cups of tea and do all the photocopying. I heard hes gonna buy Craven Cottage and turn it into their training ground or play reserve matches there.

how do u boys think ur gonna get on on saturday ? im surprised the game aint on tv to be honest. it will be interesting to hear all the anti jewish songs from the chelsea fans who dont realise abramovich is jewish anyway.

if anyone feels its worth discussing i actually reckon chelsea have the best 11 on paper in the premiership now. wether that counts for anything time will tell.

Kenyon to Chelsea... I have mixed feelings for it cause it may be hard on Trevor Birch cause he did well for Chelsea this summer.

LMAO!! Kenyon to Chelski!! Like rats from a sinking ship eh?

Standard (plastic) scouser response...

funny though that everyone was taking the piss out of us for spending £30mill on Rio, hhhmmm guess who signed the cheque...

funny that everyone was taking the piss for paying £28mill on the nose for Seba whilst not being able to recoup the money for Stam of the same club.... who could've been in charge of that I wonder.....

who made us look stupid in the transfer market during the summer, first with the Beckham transfer saga then with Jar-Jardiniho, see a theme running thru this yet....

All in all United supporters knew he was a wolf in sheeps clothing, he did some great deals for the club in terms of the Vodafone and Nike deals and improved (albeit slightly) the relationship between the board and the fans, but in other areas of the business he was lacking. He's obviously been offered shed loads of dough which is the only reason why anyone would go/ has gone to chelsea.

So good luck cuddly pete im sure you and the chelsea boys will get on great :D

Peter Kenyon's defection to Chelsea has alarm bells ringing at Manchester United.
Though Kenyon signed a secrecy deal before leaving, Kenyon takes with him to Stamford Bridge intimate knowledge of all contracts signed by United players.

It's been suggested striker Ruud van Nistelrooy, who earns less than half the £92,000-a-week skipper Roy Keane is on, could become a major Chelsea target.

The Dutchman is still to sign a new contract and would be a major coup for Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich.

Kenyon's presence also increases the likelihood of David Beckham joining Chelsea. The pair are said to enjoy a good relationship, despite the difficulties of the summer.

Peter Kenyon quit his job as Manchester United chief executive over a running row between manager Sir Alex Ferguson and major shareholder John Magnier.
The centre of the dispute is racehorse Rock of Gibraltar, which Fergie is in an ownership row with Magnier over.

The Sun says the feud between manager and club patron made Kenyon increasingly unhappy. He felt it reflected badly on the club.

Kenyon was also believed to be dead against the sale of David Beckham to Real Madrid.

Magnier offered to register Fergie as a half-owner of the horse - then worth around £5 million - as a gesture of friendship two years ago.

Sir Alex believes the agreement now entitles him to a half-share of the horse's stud fees - which could be worth £100 million. Magnier disagrees.

Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich persuaded Peter Kenyon to quit Manchester United by offering him a £5 million package.
Kenyon will become the new chief executive at Chelsea in £600,000 a year, five-year deal.

A Chelsea source told The Sun: "Mr Abramovich knows that signing new players is not the be all and end all.

"He needs someone with financial brains to make it all work - and that is where Peter fits in so perfectly. Man United and Sir Alex Ferguson must be spitting blood over his departure."

Lampard and Terry look like they might start against Leichtenstein tomorrow. Hopefully Frankie will give a better account of himself this time!

I reckon Joe Cole could do some damage too, but as Sven loves kick and rush at the moment, I doubt he'll get a look in.

It's looking that way. I have just been discussing this with someone at work. Lazio never played kick and rush, so I'm hoping that Sven, having seen the paucity of talent at his disposal, decided this was the only type of game English players would be able to play.

Given decent players, maybe he can play football again. That's the theory, anyway!

The football played at Lazio wasnt that great either in terms of how its played over here but no it wasnt kick and rush.

Weirdly enough, I've just asked you a question on the other forum. No, I haven't got a patch, but whoever bothered making combat 18 flags probably needs help!

Combat 18 is a name I haven't heard for about 5 or 6 years! Vannizzle, if you came down to the Bridge these days, you would be pleasantly surprised, or dissapointed. There aren't any gangs of roaming skinheads ready to slash peoples throats - this is the year 2003 - not 1983.

Racsim is very much alive in football T.

The guy who did the patch posted a thread about it saying if it wasnt there it wouldnt be in the game. (actually quite suprised that Madrid's biggest support group is right wing)

Bit naive, no very naive on your part to think that these groups all have skinheads T, things have changed mate like you said its 2003 they all dress in designer gear y'know burberry etc, its alive and well mate sorry to dissapoint you.

So dont teIl people who have do deal with it thats its dissapeared, its probley cos these people would never bother you or yours, and i hope they never do And no ive not had the misfourtune to visit the bridge tbh but ive heard from many supporters from other clubs that racial abuse is heard on the terraces, funnily enough faires (spurs fan) also mentioned the anti jewish songs sung at the bridge.

This is not a personal attack on you T, I dont know you, im not saying you pinned the banners up and you support combat 18 but alot of people say this about chelsea.

So let me get this straight.....there are Combat 18 banners at Stamford Bridge? That is what you're saying?

Are you just winding me up, or is this honestly what you believe?

No, I asked you had you seen them.

Theres a thread in the editing forum about the pro nazi banner at the madrid stadium which is in the game.

The bloke who did the patch posted a thread about why it was there.

Mr Coopz then posted that he saw some funny looking banners at the bridge which another member confirmed are combat 18 banners.

So applying the same train of thought as the madrid banners (the patcher put them in cos they are there) I asked you, as a chelsea fan, have you seen them/are they there .

So will they be selling these at Stamford Bridge now that Kenyon has arrived?
