:D

CHELSEA: Cudicini; Ferreira, Terry, Gallas, Del Horno; Duff, Makelele, Lampard, Gudjonhsen, J.Cole; Crespo

MILAN: Eleftheropoulos; Cafu, Stam, Nesta, Kaladze; Gattuso, Pirlo, Ambrosini; Seedorf; Vieri, Gilardino

I agree with sulph, drogbas goal was a very good goal too.
Thats why we bought him, to score goals like that! But he doesnt seem to be able to do it in the premiership!
And i like crespo and drogba, i dont think we've seen the best of either in a chelsea shirt yet, we've had glimpses of the good drogba in the champs league, and we've all seen what crespo can do at every club he's been at. Theyr different players as well, crespo is more of a poacher and drogba a power forward. I think with these two and of course the great gudjonsen, who appears to be more of a midfielder at the mo, i look forward to another successful season! CELERY!

lol cos you've had so many havent you...

looks like this sort of arrogance isnt exclusive to Mourinho..

the "special one" speaks on Gerrard, funny thing is, he beleives this shite:

Mourinho: Gerrard will lose out
CHELSEA manager Jose Mourinho believes Steven Gerrard's decision to reject a move to Stamford Bridge will hurt the Liverpool captain more than the Premiership champions.

Last year Chelsea were on the brink of signing England midfielder Gerrard, only for the player to have a last-minute change of heart and stay at Anfield.

Again this summer a move to Chelsea looked a real possibility for Gerrard as his contract talks broke down, but Liverpool finally came up with a deal the 25-year-old felt comfortable signing.

While Gerrard lifted the Champions League trophy for Liverpool last season, Mourinho led Chelsea to their first league title in 50 years and won the Carling Cup too.

And the Portuguese is convinced the next 10 years will show Gerrard was wrong to turn down his advances.

"Gerrard is a great player and we want an English core very much," Mourinho told The Times. "We normally play a midfield triangle and you can imagine that Gerrard and (Frank) Lampard, with (Claude) Makelele just behind them as protection, could be a very strong team but I think it is Gerrard's loss more than Chelsea's.

"Why? Because Chelsea have good solutions; a good team with the conditions to improve and a club which will be one of the best in the world in a short period of time.

"So when he decides not to join this club, I think it will be a loss for him, for his career.

Well actually we have had quite a few successful seasons.

I don't consider successful seasons just by the trophies we win! Unlike some clubs that have to win trophies to be successful, becuase theyve built themselves up to that, like we have now, and so we are expected by the media to win trophies.

When i say i look forward to another successful season i mean i look forward to supporting my team again, i consider success by acheiving the goals we set out at the beginning of the season.

i.e. pre abramovich : a top six finish---->europe.
the year before abramovich ---->4th place
abramovich 1st yr---->2nd place, champs league semi final
last season--->Champions, carling cup winners, champs league semi final.

i consider all these seasons a 'success' as all the goals we would have wanted to acheive we did.

So im not arrogant, not at all, im just always behind my team and always look at the positives of a season and not the negatives.

Again, chelsea fans mistaken for 'arrogant' all becuase ou manager is, but i like that in him, if he was all humble all the time he'd be boring!

And i would like to hope that mourinho is right, i hope we do win more trophies than liverpool, if he wasn't positive, that would be really good for the morale of the the team wouldnt it? How many managers do you know that go in to a dressing room and say, im not very confident in you players, i doubt we'll win anything this season. Dont make me laugh!!

I see the green eyed monster rearing its ugly head again.

lol of course....

just out of interest, what are we jealous of??

Is it your ONE Prem trophy??

Or the countless millions that have lured the likes of drogba and kezman??

Do yourself a favour mate...

And what would that be?

It is jealousy because we have alot of money and obviously a very talented squad and manager.

Just beacuse it is no longer just between u and arsenal, man u and arsenal fans are taking pops at chelsea and mourinho.

Do YOURself a favour....:D

lol c'mon mate when you've been at the top for aslong as we have you'll really know what its like to have people taking "pops" at you

Whether Mourhino is worth the hype, time will tell, as much as you'd like to think your at the top to stay after one season, its not like that, as arsenal fans will tell you.

I was the first to congratulate when you won last year, one trophy is hardly a threat but it was nice to see someone else challenge.

So im not jealous at all, ive seen this all before....

ok, ok, i see your point, but then u must admit at the sudden amount of arsenal and man u fans suddenly appearing on this forum slating chelsea? if we wern't a challenge to either team, we wouldn't have the nieve fans in here taking a pop.

And i think mourinho does live up to the hype, he learnt from the best --->bobby robson in his prime, and has now taken that to every team he has managed or assisted with. i think he has a very proven track record<-----not sure if that was good grammar or not!

Man Utd have nothing to be jealous of. We've gone through periods similar to this in the past and still came out on top.
As far as we know, Chelsea are just another team that will disappear over time. Man Utd and Arsenal have been successful for many seasons. What makes Chelsea fans so sure they will stay at the top forever?

I don't think we'll stay at the top forever----->thats impossible, i mean look at united! JOKE! JOKE! lol

Na, i think we've got longevity because we have a young squad as a foundation, a proven manager, and of course huge financial backing. I think even the most die hard united and arsenal fans will agree with me on this one.

I know by me sayin this we'll prob get relegated this year, but thats how i feel at this present moment

If I was a Chelsea fan, I'd be pretty worried about how secure the club is. I mean, the whole club has relied on Abramovich to get to where they are but what if one day he decides to leave? Arent any of you worried that the future of the club rests in the hands of someone who is controlling the club for pleasure? Not even the slightest bit worried?

Yeah, Chelsea are here to stay, barring disaster with Roman (imagine some corruption charge leading to the seizing of his assets, including the club, can you say fire sale?)

They're a good age (though haven't seen a lot of the young players (under 21)), have a good solid fan base (growing daily ;) ) nice stadium and a good manager. I doubt Mourinho will stay all that long, he doesn't strike me as someone who will commit to any cause for more than a couple seasons, win all he can and move on.
I think its kind of nice to have another solid team to compete with the title. I don't like the way that Chelsea buy players they don't really need for ridiculous prices, because it hurts all the other teams (especially the little ones, hello man city), but hey if I could afford a PS3 and Xbox 360 to decide which WE10 I like more, I'd buy both, make my decision and put the other one down too...

On an unrelated side note, saw that Freddy Adu has claimed Chelse are his favourite team. I wonder what the odds are of him having decided that in the past year?
;)

How many times have we gone over this?
Abramovich has commited his self to the club for a long time, and soon enough we will be financially stable by ourselves, dont ask me how long but apparantly its soon. Please can we leave this topic alone? None of us no how long abramovich is gonna stay around, the only one who does is abramovich!
