No man seriously, you said no one wants to sign for CHELSEA. Just because of some headlines about 1 player liking eric cantona or saying that old trafford is a nice place does not mean that they do not want to sign for chelsea, i thought this stuff was common sense, jesus christ. Please RuneEdge, grow up. Mentally, that is.

If he likes ManU so much, why doesent he move there? I gave you a friggin example. Every player has their own reasons as to why they wont join you. Robinho wants Real Madrid because he knows the manager really well. Joaquin probably doesnt want to move to you because of the difference in England's culture and language.
Just cuz 2 guys have agreed with you, it doesnt make you right. And why do you have to rely on others to make a point? I gave you proof to back up my point. You gave fuck all. All you're doing is giving an opinion without being able to back it up. I just explained to you why people dont go to Chelsea. Now explain to me why I'm wrong.

And the reason why Essien hasnt moved to Man Utd is because we have almost NO money to spend and we havent made a serious interest in the player like how Chelsea have.
But its kinda funny how Glazer came out and promised us money and today I read in the papers that Man Utd's interest in Essien has emerged again. Maybe we will sign Essien after all...

All I'm asking you do to is tell me why I'm wrong. I explained to you why Chelsea get snubbed all the time and that is because no one wants to join them.
The reason why I know this is because if a player is serious about a move away, his current club usually have no choice but to sell. And this has happened many times in the past with Man Utd cuz players want to join us.
But recently, it hasnt really gone Chelsea's way.

Now you tell me whats wrong with that.

First of all, that doesnt prove anything because A. The article is a month old. and B. I've seen many different sources saying he wants to join Man Utd too so we really cant believe anything he says until a deal is done.

On a side note I"m curious how the battle of Obi Mikel will go. He played really well in the final, unfortunately (IMO) the better team lost. He definitely has some great compusore and presence, as well as a good eye for the long ball. He meets with FIFA on Monday right?

Just watched Argentina U20 v Nigeria U20, he participated in the buildup to Nigeria's goal and they were unlucky to concede 2 penalties and get them both scored against them, Mikel looked brill and won the silver ball.

Yeah I think its just United fans (like me hoping he's overhyped... I'm going to be pretty bitter if he heads to London. Either way, I don't think he'd be welcomed very nicely to Old Trafford now that he's pulled all this s#*%.
Who knows, there's clearly more to the story than we've been told...
 
I think its the United fans that are overhyping him.
A lot of guys on MUTV were saying how great he is but I starting to have doubts.
But he's 18. You cant ever expect someone to be that good.
 
Ive only seen him twice, try get a glimpse at him over at some football video websites.
 
I've only seen clips of him and he looks really good but then again, its not like people are gonna show off bad clips of a player so I dont know.
 
Yeahh i guess, however i have seen this video of the worlds greatest misses :p. Rosenthan v villa in '92 was one of them. Hilarious. Anyway in the game i just watched with him against argentina u20s he seemed like the most active nigerian on the pitch, and hey, a silver ball too.

Chelsea are trying to persuade Hernan Crespo to return to Stamford Bridge.

Crespo, who spent last season on loan with AC Milan, wants to stay in Italy and has offered to take a cut in wages.

But the 29-year-old striker told The People newspaper: "Chelsea are trying to convince me to go back but what I really want to do is stay in Italy.

"I never had a problem with boss Jose Mourinho. I have not spoken to him but I have been told it is possible he has changed his opinion of me."

During the summer Chelsea have been linked with a host of strikers, including Fernando Torres, David Trezeguet, Andriy Shevchenko, Adriano and Samuel Eto'o.

But having sold Mateja Kezman to Atletico Madrid last week and with Chelsea due to start pre-season training on 6 July, manager Mourinho has been unable to strengthen his striking options.

Crespo, who turns 30 on 5 July, has been a big hit for Milan, scoring twice in the Champions League final defeat at the hands of Liverpool and is loathe to return to London.

"I'm having the worst summer of my life because I don't know at what club I will be at in two weeks time," he added.

"Since losing the Champions League final the only good thing that has happened has been my wedding."

Crespo signed for Chelsea in 2003 for £16.8m.

I do not see why we have to persuade him, we paid 16.8M for him, he is our player, he is under contract and has to come back, its no use loaning him out till his retirement or that is 17M down the drain.

I read an interesting article written by Terry Venables which was about Chelsea and their strikers.
He pointed out that NONE of them are to blame for the lack of goals. The real problem is the formation that is used. The 4-3-3 and the style of play that Mourinho uses makes it VERY hard for a lone striker to play well. And it makes it easy for that striker to get out-numbered and out-muscled. Venables believes that even someone like Adriano would fail to shine at Stamford Bridge unless the formation or tactics are changed.
I kind of agree with him. How else can you explain top strikers failing to perform at Chelsea.
