Re: Chelsea FC thread

Okay, its been 7 days..Within those days Arsenal has lost, and I see this thread slip to the second page? COME ON LADS

Re: Chelsea FC thread

what do you guys think, if Jose bring back C. Cole in January?

Re: Chelsea FC thread

I'd love to see him back. And with Mutu gone i think it's better to bring him back then buy a new striker. Cole was awesome for us. Tall and skillful. Certainly a future England striker along with perhaps A Johnson, and even S. Wright-Phillipsif he indeed converts to a CF.

Sound he's good. I havent see him play before, hope he can help Chelsea to win some silverware this season. And I agreed that no need to buy a new striker at outside if Cole is good, he know the english football style and he is ready to play.

Re: Chelsea FC thread

I don't know, some people might view the situation differently in that they should have done all they could to help get him off the stuff, rehab, etc, and not dump him. If he has a serious problem they should have helped him, but if it was just a passing thing for Mutu then they are correct to get rid.

Re: Chelsea FC thread

I agree with Classic, if Mutu really has a drug problem, they should help him (rehab program)...the problem is that he allegedly stated himself that he took cocaine to enhance his sexual performances (which is ridiculous...).
I'm afraid that Mutu is "the top of the Iceberg" (don't know if you guys use that exporession, translated it literally from Dutch), that there loads of players who are using cocaine and that Mutu's only sin was that he got caught...If that's the case (and i don't know it) then Chelsea should not have sacked him...
Will he ever come back???? (suspending a player who really is intoxicated, for two years isn't the best way to stop taking him drugs...).

Re: Chelsea FC thread

We call it 'The Tip of the Iceberg' Gerd.

Chelsea have now said they suspected Mutu of using drugs due to below par performances and missing training sessions, so that's why they tested him. I wasn't even aware the club did the test, I thought it was an official FA thing of some sort that showed up out of blue, but Chelsea say they took the test.

Re: Chelsea FC thread

I think this situation was made quite easy for Chelsea. Mourinho and Mutu got off on the wrong foot so sacking him was an easy decision to make.

Would Chelsea have sacked Mutu if he was scoring goals every other game? I think not.

Re: Chelsea FC thread

Always th same story, if you don't get on with the boss and there's something the boss can use against you...bye bye !!!!

i cant believe chelsea would be this vindictive or stupid, i guess they realized they paid way too much for him , and it might have been cheaper to terminate his contract then have him on the bench

Re: Chelsea FC thread

What bench? If he's suspended, the only bench he'd be on is a park bench.
I think they probably thought that nobody was about to buy him, as he wouldn't be able to play, due to the ban that he is about to receive. (It could be up to 2 years, but i doubt it will be that long).

Re: Chelsea FC thread

Beckham come to Stamford's rumour is back again, personally i think that wont happen and i think we dont need Mr David now (i used to think if he come to Stamford is good). We have many players that can be play as RMF or DMF or CMF and i dont think their ability is worst than David besides freekick.

I think we'll win CSKA 2-1 tonight.

Re: Chelsea FC thread

Not bad. First to qualify for the knock out stages of the CL. A great result in Moscow. It's never easy to get much over there. As we've won the group, i wonder if Jose will give the youngsters/reserves a game or two in the CL. At least we don't have to worry about those last 2 games, and can concentrate on the Premiership again.
Loved Robben's goal. I think Jose would love to play Duff and Robben either side of Drogba in the centre.

Re: Chelsea FC thread

Found an excellent quote on the BBC website about Mourinho's defensive triangle of Cech, Carvalho and Terry:

I want to refer to it as the Chelsea Bermuda Triangle because opposing forwards get sucked into it and are never seen again - lovely!

Re: Chelsea FC thread

no offense to you guys, but fuck the chelsea management, this mutu situation is crazy, its obvious they are out to get him, kenyon is a real asshole. He admitted he was wrong, he is in counseling, this is ridiculous, They are trying to ruin this mans life.

I dont agree. They set a precedent when they sacked Bosnich. Whats wrong with a club saying they wont tolerate drug users? As long as the players know where they stand i dont see a problem tbh.

Re: Chelsea FC thread

I think loz has a point to be honest. Had they not sacked Mutu, people would have said, "you sacked Bosnich, is it because Mutu was perhaps worth millions that you didn't sack him" etc. Alternatively you could have argued, different punishments to suit the club (ie sacking Bozzy, and retaining Mutu to sell off). I don't think you can argue with the fact that the same crime met the same punishment.

in
both cases there wrong, i mean its obvious they could give us shit less about the player. And its very obvious they had alterior motives... if this was Frank Lampard or John Terry, I doubt they would be doing this........
