Exactly, he is a little too exposed at the apex. He likes to attack from deeper, where he is much less likely to get picked up. Joe Cole would be much happier in that role.

______________Drogba
_________________________________Kezman
Duff

______________Makelele

just a thought... you can stretch the diamond to the left, if the second striker plays wider on the right.
Lampard would be in a position that suits him more and Cole can move from left to right.
then the wings can cut in the middle covered by two solid side backs.
these players are almost random...
you can put in Mutu, Robben, Parker, Gudjohnsen...

EDIT: I just realised it looks like my WE formation :D

I wonder if we'll see Joe Cole getting the starting nod in that position (behind the strikers) tonight. I have a sneaky suspicion he will. Mourinho might see him as his new Deco

Gallas is an awesome defender. And the longer we keep him the better. We defiantely have the strongest defence in the premiership bar none.

He said the he won't be leaving...
Why are u saying "stupid Mourinho?"

"There is no chance of William going to Newcastle," said Mourinho.
"In fact there's no chance of him going anywhere. He stays at Chelsea."

2-0, not bad. Still haven't leaked a goal. Players still getting to know eachother out there, a few passes with nobody on the end, but we were moving it around a bit better. Joe Cole was good, the guy has confidence even when he hasn't been playing regularly, that's what i like about him. Concerned about Drogba, hope he's ok, that was a shit tackle. Oh and, "TI-A-GO..WO-OH, TI-A-GO...WO-OH-OH-HO!"

Thiefs!!

First you steal our Vieira chant and the bit at the end of it has no relevance to anything "he hates the Arsenal" :l

Oh and the group huddle at the end of the game. Wonder where you got that idea from

I hope when you play some real teams you aren't all so cocky and arrogant. What a cheek Mourinho has refusing to do an interview for Sky.

Tonight Chelsea lost the little respect I had for them. I'm sure most Arsenal fans would agree.

i reckon the huddle was part of mourinho tactics. the only people that they are kidding are chelsea fans. "what do mean we have no team spirit, didn't you see that huddle"

oh yeah arsenal invented the huddle :l sure they did, sure they did

And isn't the Veira chant just the Deigo Maradona chant with "Viera" substituted for "Deigo"? Or am making this up?

lol - pretty pathetic, arsenal. ;) You sound like a spoilt bunch of rich kids! That Tiago chant has existed since long before Vieira was even born! And the huddle? Yeh, you were the first....

I was there last night and was pretty happy with the performance. Obviously with no Duff we still lacked width but Joe Cole had a pretty good game to compensate. They are all still learning each others games and you could see that by the amount of misplaced crosses towards the end, but it's coming together slowly.

I'm glad Didi got off the mark with a thumper of a header - hopefully that will prove to José the importance of width when we play. Kezman looked dangerous but without really getting in his stride. There's a lot to come from that boy, I feel. Tiago was tidy and to be honest, wasn't sure why he was getting the nod until he scored. He took it so well and was buzzing with the song.

The defence was nice and solid, Frankie had a much better game and it was pleasing to see Makelele get stuck into.

All in all - 6 out of 10. There's a lot more to come from those boys! :D

Yep. Three victories, three clean sheets. I'm beginning to like this more and more. Granted, it isn't fast and flowing like Arsenal, but I think in time Chelsea will be one of the best clubs in Europe.
Also, it's very obvious that it's going to be extremely hard to score against us. Defensively it's looking very tight, indeed. Plus, we're getting results.

Me happy.

There's only one team who introduced the huddle in football, and it wasn't Arsenal.
and the huddle comes from american football, thats where they call the plays and tell the other teamates, been happening since the 20's.....

Then it would appear that it is only arsenal fans who think the huddle belongs solely to them.

And to think people call them arrogant.... ;)

i dont know if arsenal fans are arrogant but the guy who was posting that bullshit about chants and huddles sure is

You've got me wrong.. I'm not saying the huddle belongs to us and we invented it I'm saying I've only seen one team do the huddle in the Premiership and thats us... suddenly the day after we do it against Boro, Chelsea do it after a shite performance.

Just seems a bit fishy to me... Chelsea aren't even a team! They're like a company.

so you're saying you've seen it for the first time (in premier league) last week against boro.
look at this picture (taken in 2001).

Noted, stop snivelling, dry your eyes and wipe your nose. You are making yourself look a right childish prat. Get over it.

Now, who does everyone fancy in the draw later today?

The teams I would like to avoid are:

Porto
Valencia
Celtic
Donetsk
CSKA Moscow
Rosenborg
Olympiakos
Fenerbahce
Tel-Aviv
Kiev

and Possibly Rosenborg too.

So my ideal would be:

Deportivo La Coruna
Chelsea
Monaco
Werder Bremen

Fingers crossed. ;)

Why is that cheeky? He's not obliged to do interviews, is he? No doubt they'd just ask him some more daft questions along the lines of 'so Jose, you've yet again failed to score 6 goals and retain possession for 30 minutes in a 475-pass sequence. What the fuck have you got to say for yourself? Eh? EH?'.

If twatty reporters are going to question him for winning matches then why would he want to speak to them? Like he said, people think they know what they're talking about, but they don't.
