Boxing Talk!!

We'll see how Khan does, hopefully he'll come good. Seems a nice guy.

As for Lewis, sorry I don't regard him ever as a 'great', his competition whilst I concur that you can only beat who's in front of you was a joke. The HW division has been so low for many a year.

You'll note I didn't say one of the greatest of all time or whatever ;) He's certainly one of the best heavyweights since peak Tyson but as you rightly said in the grand scheme of things compared to 50s/60s/70s it's not saying that much.

Glad to help, it's a great sport IMO and can be hard for fans to follow with all the Pay Per View and all that. The undercard doesn't massively appeal to me but I might grab it anyways:

Humberto Soto (44-6-2) vs Francisco Lorenzo (32-4)
WBC Interim
Super Featherweight

Manny Pacquiao (46-3-2) vs David Diaz (34-1-1)
WBC / Ring
Lightweight

Steven Luevano (35-1) vs Mario Santiago (19-1)
WBO
Featherweight

Monte Barrett (33-6) vs Tye Fields (41-1)
Heavyweight

Humberto Soto vs Francisco Lorenzo is still downloading so I'll upload it once it's finished.

Haven't had chance to watch any fights yet so please don't post spoilers, otherwise next time I'll wait until I've watched all the fights before mirroring them which means nobody will get them quickly ;)

Tbh, unless I see the person myself I can't really comment on the likes of Ali and stuff.

Myself, the best I saw was Tyson, thought the competition was good in HW. There have been other class boxers IMO like Chavez, Roy Jones Jnr, Mayweather, Hopkins.

If he can find a middleweight world champion who punches slow and has poor accuracy then perhaps yes, if not he's just going to get his face beaten to a pulp as with his fight against a far less than world class Walid Smichet.

I'll hold you to that Statham, he's 18-0 at the moment and has taken out a few good fighters along the way, Bonsante, Pudwill and Yuri Boy Campas among them, I went down to Boston to watch him defeat Howe last week, he looked a lot sharper than the Smichet fight, perhaps he'll go light middleweight instead but I really think he can be a middleweight champ.

Well I know you've been watching him for quite some time, and as you said he's had some impressive wins along the way, I'm just judging him on the only fight I've seen so perhaps not too fair ;) Was hoping his fight from the weekend would have been televised so I could download it but sadly not.

Yeah I read an article that they believe he should go down to "junior" middleweight.

Should there be a warning sign for the Klitchski fight?

Thompson was a joke and wanted the first way out of that ring after a few rounds.

Like any fight you watch at your own risk, could be the greatest fight since Tua v Ibeabuchi, could be the worst fight since Calzaghe v Hopkins, that's part of what's so great about boxing IMO :)

Could be a fight to rival it this Friday.

Danny Williams returns to the ring on Sky.

If it's available I'll share it :)

Edit:

Could be interesting........
